Crazy how Crazy Framer makes this sh** so freaking easy. He's got so much skill, the blueprints are in his head and flows so natural.

You dont have to do carpentry for very long to do something like this. You'd be surprised at how easy it is. I dont frame, i did form carpentry. Its not that hard. Most of the time we dont give ourselves enough credit, that we lack the skills. Its not true, dont ever let anyone tell you that. Always tell yourself and other's. I am capable.

unleashed rider, cowboy didn't say no-one else can do it. He was giving CrazyFramer a compliment. Sometimes we have to let compliments be compliments.
I agree with you though that we don't give ourselves enough credit.
Thats why i try to do most things for myself first. That teaches me the work effort and ill have a little more knowledge for when i hire someone to do it for me. It doesn't make me an expert, but i really enjoy those experiences

I've been a builder for many years and have seen quite a fair bit of sheds. The plans in ryan's package ruclips.net/user/postUgkxB7IXYxLzb_Ichhe45zM3Im5xfEiSp9vB have some of the nicest looking sheds i've seen in a while.

All the complaints about how he did it... FFS... he's a framer, and he built it like a framer. Fast and efficient with framers tools. Is it the prettiest? No, I cringed a bit at the amount of nails and randomness of their placement... Was it quick and cheap? Yes, it was so quick! Is it how I would do it? No, I would use screws, lags, and bolt's and put them in symmetrically for aesthetics. However, it would take me 4 times as long. I don't think I could charge four times as much for my time and compete with him if we were selling in the same market. Because the truth is most people that buy stuff don't look too closely at how things are built unless they are builders and they don't give a damn that it took you four times as long. All an average consumer sees is a picnic table.
I did however take away some helpful bits that I would adapt to batch out picnic tables more efficiently for myself. That was a simple effective jig and he knew exactly how long and what angles everything had to be.
He get's an A+ for speed and efficiency.

Ya I agree with you. I wouldn't buy it but hey if it's for himself good job with that he's got. I do like the jig though will probably build one myself next time I need to build a picnic table.

So true but he did the way he wanted screws wouldn't come up and bite your butt and the kreg would be nice also I would of put the label/writing the other way but he did it the way he knows and the speed was amazing im more of a roofer and a decker

i like it, simple, cost-effective, quick, useful, and fun to make, even for those dads who just want a weekend project.
the only thing that bugs me, and this is personal preference, that it does not stand the test of time as much, it will shrink and loosen, and will have to get repaired and will have so many nails in it and so much wear that you have to build one every 10-25ish years depending on usage. while the materials could last a solid 200-500 years or more.
and yes i know, i'm a joiner, i learned to have this preference, to make things that will strengthen and last with time, and that is the reason why it takes much more effort and time investment to be put in it to make.
yet i am here to state, this (what you demonstrate in this video) is more than enough for anybody. and people are better off doing this themselves than buying a table like this at a store, pre-fabricated, ikea style.
so all in all, thanks for making this video!
    remember to oil-finish it! :D
