      Very nice! I see one thing I will add when I build this. I will duplicate the armrests and attach them with a hinge on the top supports. This way everyone sitting on the bench has an armrest. A locking mechanism will need to be added also so the armrests can be locked up before transforming to table mode. Let me know what you think.

    • @geekychick99
      @geekychick99 3 года назад

      Ok bought the plans... we are having trouble with the arms... the plan says to cut all of them to a certain degree angle. While trying to assemble it is not flushing together. Watching your video back it appears that your arm pieces have no degree cuts to them. Please help.

    Finally someone who pre-drills for the screws. Pre-drilling makes the joint stronger and pulls the wood together much better, thumbs up April !!

    • @webosm6494
      @webosm6494 3 года назад

      Not a native English speaker here , but why is it called pre-drilling when you not drilling afterwards. Should it not be called just 'drilling'.

    • @augustreil
      @augustreil 3 года назад +1

      @@webosm6494, Because it's being done before (pre) putting the screw in.

    Wow this is the best timber convertible table and bench I have seen so far online with the most cleanest lines great efficiencies.
    April you're an awesome little doer - YOU ROCK!
    Half a bench will be great for tiny balconies yet one has the option to double up for larger gathering especially those BBQ which you can't find the space for with regular furniture so innovative options for so many different home footprints.
    In most convertible furniture I've seen they neither quite looks like a recognizable as a normal bench or picnic set this design looks beautiful as both - very feminine of you to consider the aesthetic appeal and so simple and smooth transition to fold not level of origami difficulty of some other conversions.

    Okay, I am finally done binge watching your show. I wish I had discovered you years ago; but finding you now has been perfect timing with covid slowing my business to a stand still. I am amazed at how much you have thrown yourself into this life and how proficient you have become so quickly. I have learned quite a bit from your work and tips. I have two sons, no daughters, but if I had a daughter, I would want her to be like you...curios, fearless, hard working and fun loving. Your parents are blessed to have you. It is clear why you have so many subscribers. Your sound, filming, projects, workshops, homes and business have improved so quickly in six short years. I love your show, and I think it is time to sell the Harley and set up a better shop. Great work! Thanks for taking the time to make, film, edit and share.

      @@RomaTomassi This bench/table is a nice to have, in case you need to have a picnic/bbq table assembled real quick.
      I see this being mainly used as benches, placed across one another. When family and friends come, and a table needs to be put together, there it is. Just move the benches together. Otherwise, they serve a purpose perfectly fine without ever needing to be joined.

    • @IsaKocoglu
      @IsaKocoglu 3 года назад +1

      *MiniBusPug* would latches really do the job of keeping the two together? This is a pretty heavy bench, after all.
