Jack: YEAH! SING THE BEE GEES ON TOP OF IT!
Nat: ...yeah, ok. But we usually AVOID doing mashups where two songs SOUND similar.
Jack: But it works so well! And it's unexpected!
Nat: I guess it's cool because both of them are lyrically similar.
Jack: **silence**
Nat: You know, they're both about modern society's downward spiral. How everything's accelerating at this unhealthy and unstoppable pace.

Ahh you were in those Nova Scotia floods. I'm sorry to hear about the damage. One of my dream roadtrips would be driving all the way to Nova Scotia. I live in the deep south of the US though so it's a crazy drive. @@thinkpadBentnoseTheBlind
Yes in Nova Scotia. We got about 285-300 mm of rain in 36 hours or so. As for a road trip gas is 1.87/litre so basically a US gallon cost 7 bucks Cdn.@@VinOnline

I don't really call myself a musician, but I guess I'm OK on percussion because bands keep inviting me to play with them. I feel ecstatic and privileged to be able to participate in that kind of connection! It's better than sex. Way better.

I saw a Jamiroquai bumper sticker on a car the other day and this mashup came flooding back. I think switching out the Staying Alive chorus for the Virtual Insanity chorus is one of the most genius and timeless creative moves you guys have made.
Please tell me that I'm not the only one who thinks that the drummer playing behind the glass looks like he's a little man inside a magical portrait. Like a living painting. Dunno.

I've recently discovered Pomplamoose. You cover all my bases. I love France, just across the Channel from us, so the French songs are magnifique. I love the mash ups, they're my go-to when I need uplifting. And the sheer joy on Jack's face is infectious.
