The original is truly legendary for sure - the combination of Withers and Washington Jr pretty hard to match. But these guys are really smooth and highly skilled. Good on them for a great cover.
I liked that the bass player was not overpowering, I prefer hearing the vocals rather than loud mistake covering instruments. I really liked the harmony of the background vocals. Could actually see the cord progressions on the guitars. Loved the keyboards. The lead singer had a groove that was fitting and pleasant. In other words, nice work gentleman.
Yeah. The main Progression reminds of tracks like "do for love" and "I like it"- tracks I prefer when I want to chill to something in that style (no idea what the notes are) but I think the will smith sampled track and overplay of two of us on radio has overdone it. Bill can play the fuck outta most other tracks but two of us just ain't my thing. But these cats play it well.

Somehow I just stumbled upon this on RUclips and I didn't expect much. But - wow - these guys are amazing. Great groove, immense talent all around. But what really blew me away was the lead singer, Andy Seymour. He drew me into the song and made it impossible to stop listening. I wonder if he sings on other hscc songs or with another group. I'll have to check it out.

The absolute best version of this song that I’ve ever heard. Seriously, the voice, the players, the entire feel of video is awesome.
I liked that the bass player was not overpowering, I prefer hearing the vocals rather than loud mistake covering instruments. I really liked the harmony of the background vocals. Could actually see the cord progressions on the guitars. Loved the keyboards. The lead singer had a groove that was fitting and pleasant. In other words, nice work gentleman.
Yeah. The main Progression reminds of tracks like "do for love" and "I like it"- tracks I prefer when I want to chill to something in that style (no idea what the notes are) but I think the will smith sampled track and overplay of two of us on radio has overdone it. Bill can play the fuck outta most other tracks but two of us just ain't my thing. But these cats play it well.
