This isn’t from an era when rappers could be understood. Will always did things a little differently. He always said he refused to make music he wouldn’t let his children listen to. He didn’t cuss or use fouls language or references that were not child appropriate. He kept his music and his public image clean and respectable so his children could be proud of him. This is something no other rapper has even bothered to attempt.

He built himself up to be seen as "regal" and "above the petty stuff". The "right way" a successful black public figure is supposed to act and for others to aspire to. If it was a "ratchet" actor like Mark Walberg or something then it would've have been a big deal in terms of his reputation being sullied. I compared it to the Tiger Woods situation in terms of reputation. Lost my dad (and my mom) last summer. They were 73/74 years old, God bless them. I am 42 now. Throughout my childhood and early life, he really didn't do much good for me at all. He was rather the narcissistic type, and I still have big scars from that. But you know what. The last year when he was alive, I was in a great trouble and he finally came through and gave me a huge helping hand. I am so happy and thankful that I can have that experience to look back on now! 💖
