I am late to this party but just discovered you. Have to chime in to say, I saw George Benson perform this live in San Francisco in 1983. I remember the year because I was quite pregnant. At any rate, it was a theatre where the stage was round and rotated slowly throughout the concert. I remember there were over a dozen musicians, everyone as talented as I'd ever seen. It was so impressive to see and Mr. Benson was a warm and welcoming entertainer as well as being incredibly talented. Having said all of that, HSCC's performance was amazing!! I am stunned at the talent and perfection! Great job!
This singer is from a different level. He just did a great job with this song. He got his own style and not a George Benson's 'Wannabe'. Amazing cover!

My dad was jazz vibraphonist in the 70s, I was bought up with jazz and it's in my soul. I love this band. Fantastic sound and brilliant musicians. I wish jazz could be mainstream again. There should be Jazz unavailable to the young; the next generation xxx♥️

I've said it before, but I have to say it again: HSCC is simply amazing! The choices of songs, the arrangements, the assembly of the band are perfect, all great musicians and singers and, it is noted, they do everything with a lot of desire to do it well. Too bad, as far as I know, we don't have something similar in Brazil. We also have plenty of talent, but our decadence in culture, in sports, is something that would need to be studied well.

Back to their roots...small environment. An incredibly difficult bass, piano and vocals to do so precisely. Every note and every drum & percussion beat is sooo tight!!! You make it look so easy. It’s. NOT! This is one of the best ever from HSCC ...and that’s saying a lot because all their performances are outstanding. I play/record almost daily here in California and you guys help me constantly with your obvious desire to ALWAYS get the fundamentals perfect (the groove, tight band, precise playing, every note and beat clearly articulated and easily heard). Add excellent singing and then, if that’s not enough, how about throw some surprises in on every song. I learn something new to watching you. I recently did a cover of this song, but after hearing HSCC maybe I’ll just take a two week vacation from music. Then, after clearing my head I’ll come back to the Studio.... and completely quit ! You’re the best.

Back to their roots...small environment. An incredibly difficult bass, piano and vocals to do so precisely. Every note and every drum & percussion beat is sooo tight!!! You make it look so easy. It’s. NOT! This is one of the best ever from HSCC ...and that’s saying a lot because all their performances are outstanding. I play/record almost daily here in California and you guys help me constantly with your obvious desire to ALWAYS get the fundamentals perfect (the groove, tight band, precise playing, every note and beat clearly articulated and easily heard). Add excellent singing and then, if that’s not enough, how about throw some surprises in on every song. I learn something new to watching you.
I recently did a cover of this song, but after hearing HSCC maybe I’ll just take a two week vacation from music. Then, after clearing my head I’ll come back to the Studio....
and completely quit ! You’re the best.
