Historical bands or singers like Bee Gees, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Police, Paul McCarntey, Rolling Stones, Springesteen, Tina Turner, Yes, still made good songs. In addition there were bands or singers such as Bonjovi, Dire Straits, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Prince, Phil Collins, Sting, U2 and many others. And jazz players like George Benson enjoyed making a pop, but of high quality.

True Story: Sitting on the side of the bed, tired from a long day's work and fatigued. Sad about our present state in the world amongst other things. I stumbled upon this and was immediately on my feet.....dancing like I was on Soul Train laughing and enjoying the wonderful talent of these gorgeous gentlemen. Music.... the universal language. I’m running out of compliments. Super singing, great guitar solo. Rhythm section nails it again. The Bass player has to be selecting these songs, all are funky and difficult to get right. Keep them coming and thank you!

They make it a little easier for themselves by editing the horns in. You see a trumpet or sax player?
@@chrissims518 I believe the horn sounds are coming from the keyboard in front. Most keyboards can be set with two different “sounds” for left and right hand. Watch it again and you’ll see. I’m fascinated by this too - getting ready to buy a keyboard like this for myself.

I am late to this party but just discovered you. Have to chime in to say, I saw George Benson perform this live in San Francisco in 1983. I remember the year because I was quite pregnant. At any rate, it was a theatre where the stage was round and rotated slowly throughout the concert. I remember there were over a dozen musicians, everyone as talented as I'd ever seen. It was so impressive to see and Mr. Benson was a warm and welcoming entertainer as well as being incredibly talented. Having said all of that, HSCC's performance was amazing!! I am stunned at the talent and perfection! Great job!

Oliver, agree totally. This band just turns out one genie after another. And i ask myself, where do they find all these brilliant singers. There are a few good cover bands around on youtube, but the HSCC is the best band by far. Also, they are so flexible. Like yourself a fan from Germany, but from Berlin. I personally think jazz funk is one of the hardest musical genres to play really well for a band. Time after time you get it right. As someone who has loved this music since my days growing up in the early 80's (and as a musician), I salute you.
Crazy how close we are to the originals with this extraordinary line-up of musicians and singers.
