The "sweet dreams" vocals coming in over the top of the seven nation army tune at 2:30 after the instrumental build-up, it gives me the tingles. Also, I just love how much Jack gets into it. You see dudes doing "guitar face" all the time on solos, but you rarely ever get to see "keyboard face".

One of the coolest mashups I’ve heard, there was definitely a part at the end where I was singing “somebody’s watching me” by Rockwell. Could maybe be a cool addition to bring in yet another song

I've watched this video too many times and still to this day the percussionists enjoyment of what he is doing makes this song about 50 times better. Loving watching them all enjoy themselves.
Loved Sweet Dreams when it came out in 83, not that I could admit that in my "Classic Rock Only" suburban High School. The addition of the guitar makes it better, not to dis them, taste and times change. Likewise, the addition of the synth (so prominent in the original Sweet Dreams) to Seven Nations adds to that song which is the mirror image of change you made to Sweet Dreams. Wish I had the musical knowledge to understand and express my point better.
As a musician and a fan of Pomplamoose since the early days, I agree with so much of the comments here but the one thing that stands out is how this video was able to capture the joy of discovery that musicians so chase after. The creativity and teamwork is through the roof. Thank you for sharing!
I love watching these guys and listening to everything they do but honestly, most of all. I think I love seeing everyones face in the studio when you finish a song. I can feel the joy from here and there's just something magical about it. You guys rock! 😎
I hate saying where I work. But I work at Kid Rock's in downtown Nashville. I'm asking the band to try this. I need to hear this live. That bass & drums playing White Stripes, while the guitar & vocals are doing sweet dreams would would kill. I have to say, this is my default version of this song
This is lighting in a bottle. Everything about this is amazing. I tend to focus on the vocals of these kinds of performances which were great but the musicianship absolutely takes it to the next level. Thank you very much for making/sharing this.
This is the soul of what any great mashup should be -- a fresh and terrific take that builds something new and wonderful out of familiar parts! Bravo, musical humans of worth!
I love how at the start the drums and keyboard both almost seem like they've never touched a musical instrument before, then they just start and it just keeps getting more and more amazing and they don't understand why. My favorite Pomplamoose video, I’ve watched this I don’t know how many times. The contrast between Nataly and Sarah, the guitar, the drummer, the keyboard, and Hagar just kills it on bass.
T Duprix love Hagar Ben Ari. Seeing her jam with Reggie Watts has always been a good time. Love that she’s connected to Jack and Nataly.
I normally hate mashups. I find they're often some combination of forced, muddled, or gimmicky. This one is seamless, like it was meant to be. I love it. I keep coming back to it.
I'm with you on this but try listen to this "AVICII & RICK ASTLEY - Never Gonna Wake You Up (NilsOfficial Mashup)" and tell me what you think. I think it's one of the best :D
You should check out the 15 year old one on RUclips. It's really good, too!
To be fair though, is a mashup fails to comply to being seamless it's just a mix, not a mashup. True mashups are all amazing!
That tends to happens when it's actual musicians and not DJ's that mash the songs
lol music is music hope you have been enlightened :)
The stink face from the band when the funk groove develops on the seven nation army drop was priceless😅
Charlie 🤣🤣🤣
stANK FACE
Loved the comradery, photography, the musicians, & especially the young ladies singing. Thank you all!
Phenomenal mashup! Gonna be jamming to this for a while.
💯
This is honestly one of the better things I have stumbled upon in a long time.
I'd be honored if some fans of the Pomplamoose organic style of covers would take a quick listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of LONG DECEMBER by the Counting Crows and WALKING IN MEMPHIS by Marc Cohn on my YT channel in tribute to a couple of great 90s standards. Live acoustic with no autotune or digital editing. Thanks and peace.
Same feeling
I love the keyboard player, he is just so happy to be there.
He's a member of pomplamoose. Been there since the beginning.
@@saraiinez8790 that makes it even better i love seeing people genuinly enthralled with the moment like he is
His name is Jack Conte. He is the CEO and co-founder of Patreon and the husband of the blond singer. I recommend the channel of his other band "Scary Pockets", you can see his joy in every video.
His over-acting actually makes it harder for me to watch these :(
@@Ocker3 I don't think he's acting, he's a co-founder of patreon and has always been a little eccentric.
Your fluid group of musicians is not only stacked with elite, S-tier musicians...but sure seems to also be unique personalities down the line & back of the kind of persons real friendships are developing with. Great juju envelopes me completely every time I dive in... Thank you!
That was deadly. Love the energy too, you can just feel the love and passion and the chemistry between everyone just beautifully incorporate ininto their music, good stuff.
"Sweet Dreams Are Made Of A Seven Nation Army"
Sweet Dreams Are Made of This has always been one of those alleged "classics" that i absolutely cannot stand... hated that friggin' song in the 80s and i still can't listen to it today... this is a big improvement over the original.
Will Ritter ever listen to the Marilyn Manson cover? It’s pretty great, although not as good as this mashup!
Yeah I find it funny how I found this after my friend showed me Sweet Dreams Are Made of Seven Nation Army
@@willritter4076 My boss is so obsessed with it that she called the pizzeria "Dream Pizza" and has it for ringtone too.
I can't stand it too, if I must listen to it, I prefer this or Marilyn Manson's version.
Sounds like Stalin's wet dream
Naturally I'm a fan, glory to motherland.
A lot to like about this mashup, but damn that bass is incredible.
I think that's Hagar Ben-Ari playing the bass guitar.
Hagar rocking this one and laying down the beat!
Yeah, im late to the party.. but damn y'all are fun to listen to! So much talent its hard to know where to start. Absolutely digging the sound!
Same here :P my sister showed me this afew days ago and now I'm obsessed 😅
Later than you😂 but agree wholeheartedly
Me too
Welcome to the party 😀
This is just SO smooth. Perfect melodies. Cool on a summers day, warm in the winter.
as a drummer, i loved that the idea came from the drummer! ❤
The misconception that drummers are stupid is sadly.a Thing. Yes.
@@OffscreenkillVA How stupid can you be when your brain is able to control and coordinate the independent movements of all four of your limbs simultaneusly? Not stupid at all I'd say!
What's difference between a drummer and a drum machine ?
Some of the greatest bands were headed by their drummers. Mick Fleetwood, Phil Collins, Lars Ulrich...
@InvisibleChains have u watched school of rock? the only kid without any musical talent in the band was the drummer. things like that i guess.
Proving once again, ya gotta listen to the drummer!
As drummer I confirm this truth!
Yes! Excellent point.
"How do you know the stage is not level? Drummer only drools out one side of his mouth". Not sure where I heard that, But I didn't write it. Some movie or something. "How do you know the stage is level?. Drummer drools out both sides of his mouth" is the rest of it. Spinal tap? Nothing against drummers, jealousy I guess. My wife says (when I danced 30 years ago that one time) I have no rhythm...
Preach, Tenno, preach.
The bass player rules this song! She's killin it.
Yes !!!!
Do know her name??
@@floristanora2349 It's in the description below the video: "Bass: Hagar Ben Ari"
Oh my freaking gosh that was amazing
That what sh said🤙⚡️
Ñ
I've watched this video too many times and still to this day the percussionists enjoyment of what he is doing makes this song about 50 times better. Loving watching them all enjoy themselves.
The drummer is easily having the most fun. Love it!
They are all loving it but he is one sky higher
I've probably watched this 50 times and just can't get enough of it. I would so buy this!!
You guys take two legendary songs, and make them more legendary yet. The result is just hypnotic. You guys are genius. Kudos for all life!
The pianists energy is infectious.
This is the most melodious music I have listened to this year, I hope someone likes my comment so that I can always come back.
yes!
It's crazy how well the bass lines swap back and forth. This is a brilliant piece.
We need a 10 minute version of this. You guys Rock!
Just bumping this up in agreement. The only thing wrong with this track is the length.
Not the first time I've heard this combo... but it is the BEST time I have.
I'm not even sure which time im clicking repeat again now... Best mix I've ever heard!
that keyboard guy has the best expressions still
That keyboard guy runs Patreon
@@checktheplaylist101 muh freeze peaches.
@@checktheplaylist101 you fucking antisemitic piece of shit. You're such a victim for people not allowing the fashtrash to spread their vitriol
@@checktheplaylist101 Dude, what the hell are you talking about?
That's odd, normally the drummer escalates facially.
As a musician and a fan of Pomplamoose since the early days, I agree with so much of the comments here but the one thing that stands out is how this video was able to capture the joy of discovery that musicians so chase after. The creativity and teamwork is through the roof. Thank you for sharing!
This mash up blows my mind every time I play it. Thanks for this absolutely awsome mix.
i've never seen someone look more like a bassist, than that bassist
I'd give a "thumbs up" to your comment, but there are 69, and it doesn't seem right to change it to 70.
@@excavatoree Ha. Me too.

I think Hagar looks seriously cool while in action. I wonder how much is the shades, and how much is her plain aweomeness.
What is her name??
I love watching these guys and listening to everything they do but honestly, most of all. I think I love seeing everyones face in the studio when you finish a song. I can feel the joy from here and there's just something magical about it. You guys rock! 😎
Stuff like this makes me sooo thankful that there is music in this world….
Amen.

I hate saying where I work. But I work at Kid Rock's in downtown Nashville. I'm asking the band to try this. I need to hear this live. That bass & drums playing White Stripes, while the guitar & vocals are doing sweet dreams would would kill. I have to say, this is my default version of this song
WHAT??! That was GENIUS!! My fav mashup from now on 🙌
This is lighting in a bottle. Everything about this is amazing. I tend to focus on the vocals of these kinds of performances which were great but the musicianship absolutely takes it to the next level. Thank you very much for making/sharing this.
I don't even know this kind of music could make it play it again and again. Bravo
This song never stops killing it! Listened to it for years and still can't get enough.
Each person on this track deserves props. It was so amazing how perfect all of this sounded and put together is genius 🤌🤌
I admire the absolute precision in this piece, everything fits well together. Amazing job :D
I love that there’s a group of young people keeping this great music alive 😁😁😁
Check out this stripped back masterpiece: ruclips.net/video/jMfe7j-iMzI/видео.html
This is the soul of what any great mashup should be -- a fresh and terrific take that builds something new and wonderful out of familiar parts! Bravo, musical humans of worth!
1:22 the notes and that "rip it off"! To put it in the words of Jake Peralta: "Chills, literal chills"
Seriously, how do you consistently find the most beautiful vocalists. Just HOW?
Dos voces maravillosas, un arreglo formidable y toda la onda... qué puede fallar??. Mucho amor desde Argentina!!!
Muito amor da Argentina, sim, è também da Califórnia.
I will never tire of this perfect medley
I love how at the start the drums and keyboard both almost seem like they've never touched a musical instrument before, then they just start and it just keeps getting more and more amazing and they don't understand why. And then by the end they're just hanging on for dear life against the sheer awesomeness of what's happening.
WTH, this showed up right when I pressed refresh! I'm glad it did :-)
This is the best example I've seen of how musicians feel when a song really comes together and vibes like this for the first time.
I have this on repeat and it sounds amazing on my headphones!! So goood!
