I have always been afraid to try the pineapple pattern, but you have made it pretty easy to follow. Thank you again for another wonderful tutorial. I love how easy you are to listen to and the fact that you don't edit it out when your yarn gives you a problem, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person that tells my yarn to behave. Stay safe.

My mother for YEARS crocheted the pineapple stitch. I so admired this stitch & have always wanted to learn it. However, it is such a complicated stitch, very few people do it anymore. I do greatly appreciate this tutorial. It will have to be a CAL for me though where I stop & start repeatedly. Thank you ever so much!! Looking forward to part 2 😊

Newbie crocheter here, and this stitch looked daunting and difficult. Your video was clear and extremely easy to follow. Your voice is calming and soothing!
I used your instructions to create the body/bottom of a crochet top and it’s gorgeous.
I loved how you put links to jump to each row. Thank you, thank you!

So, I found it more pleasing to work vertically in one multiple OK of 15 and adding a v stitch at the hole or gap that supports the fan. This also added 2 more posts to that awkward lonely 2 post center and I sewed the strips... Plus, it was much easier to work this way for an Afghan and my hands were less tired from holding the wieght and working horizontal. Project was king size Afghan. Thank you, this was a great non-yarn eating stitch!

This is by far the most intricate pattern I have attempted. My Aunt taught me to crochet about age 5, when most little Irish girls begin, but I stopped practicing for about 40 years.
This is coming along beautifully using KnitPicks Brava Sport in 'Seraphim' and a size I (eye) hook. I'm going to tassel the corners and wear it as a shawl.
Thank you for the wonderful instruction, Spider! Hugs. 😘

I love this pineapple throw. Thank you. 😊 My Grandma taught me to crochet when I was a little girl. She made a full sized bedspread out of ecru colored thread and she gave it to me. Needless to say, I treasure it. I just turned 80. Thank you for the tutorial on a smaller project. I don't think I have the patience to make a bedspread. You are a great teacher. Thank you again so mucb!!!

You have such a soothing voice and make it so easy to follow. I've only been crocheting for about 8 weeks and from various tutorials have made 9 throw blankets, 3 different coasters and 4 doilys. I look forward to doing more of your patterns.

My dear Mr Fiber Spider I do not know if you will get to read this or not but I was trying very hard to copy a foreign tutorial and became totally stuck at the pineapple skirt of the top I was crocheting.
I'd put so much work into it I could not unpick it. Then I found this brilliant tutorial of yours and it saved the day and my sanity.
I just had to convey my thanks.

Thank you sooooooo much for this video, and all your work! I've done like four of your shawls (and plan to do the pineapple one as soon as I find the perfect thread!). I don't see very well, so I really appreciate that your videos are well zoomed in, that you make sure we can see and understand where the hook is going on every stitch, and that you talk through every stitch. It may sound repetitive ad nauseum to you, but it is precisely what this old girl needs. You are head and shoulders above the others! Keep 'em coming!

One thing I find with crocheting is that most yarns put off yarn-dust and it makes my throat scratch and I cough. So, I haven't crocheted in a few years. So this video is perfect for my re-start project. Thanks!

You can also use a single crochet then slide the hook back though the left front leg of that single crochet and pull up a loop then pull the yarn thru the 2 loops oo the hook(another sc) another words stack a 2nd sc on the first.
I find that when you get to the end of each row it is easy to find your last stitch as it is a sc you are putting that last stitch into. Not a chain.
