Those that want a written pattern the answer is rather simple. They can sit with paper and pencil and while watching you in this or any tutorial, they can methodically write down what you’re saying, row by row. And they need to utilize the stop option so that the vid doesn’t keep going forward while they are writing.
And yes back in the day this is exactly what I would do and it works beautifully.
Just a thought from the Last Frontier!

I can definitely connect with the wanting to be thorough and am very thankful that you feel the same way! I would be adrift without it - I can't read patterns. Funny how I don't have the patience to learn how to discern patterns but I will jump in to practically anything interesting without knowing a darned thing about it, and learn in the process. Ironic, huh? I do love the age of RUclips. I never met so many people who wanted to tell me how to do stuff!
By the way, I would really rather have this as a Poncho I reckon I'm just gonna have to figure out how to do that on my own - unless you have a video... or want to do a video on it (hint, hint). Love you best, sweetie pie!

Hi fibre spider. I’m looking to make a pineapple that if I added a suction and attach it to the pineapple so it will stop the birds from killing themselves, bc the pineapple shows through the window, so the don’t think it clear to fly into that space.
I had a friend who made it for me, but it got stolen by a bt that was my husbands, it was the very last gift she made for me before she passed. I felt very honoured for her to make this for me, as she wasn’t very strong when she made this for me. My friend also attached a crystalball for weight to the bottom of the pine apple, so it was stable and it also looked beautiful on the end. What I need is a pattern that is around 6 inches long and the wides part is about 4 inches wide. She used cotton to make this. I used to make doilies with cotton, but that was in the 70’s, so my eyes were very strong back then. Also I was used to working with very thin cotton. I haven’t used cotton for years
I just heard u dont have a written pattern, but maybe now, bc this video was produced a few years ago.
So if u know where I could get a pattern to replace the one that was stolen, I removed the crystal before she could steal that too!
    Thanks
    Cathrin

When I saw it in the thumbnail, it reminded me of peacock feathers rather than pineapples. As you were creating the base and subsequent fans, it reminds me of peacocks when they have their tail feathers lifted and fanned out. It may be the pineapple shawl, but it'll forever be the peacock shawl in my mind, and yes, it's been saved for yarn that I have on order, so I can rewatch and follow along to create one, perhaps many. Beautiful work! :)
