    Anyone who says this is easy has nooooo idea what they speak about. Try hitting a regular double end bag...let alone this small ball. Shit is way harder than it looks

    Now mosley knows how to train that is exactly how a double bag should be, it should have slack and be small. Those huge and tight double end bags don't train shit. When the bag is small and moves around every time you hit it simulates head movement as if you were in a real fight and because the bag is so small your eyes get trained to their full potential, great job on shane mosleys team.

  • @vh788
    @vh788 5 лет назад +2

    Its a "Winning Byonbyon Ball SB-9000"
    With the ball being as small as it is, you have much less of a surface area to make contact with when punching , that coupled with the right amount of slack (looser) results in a motion that helps to promote a fighters reactions and ability based on the information our eyes perceive (visual spatial perception) to guide our bodies to that particular action, INSTEAD of anticipating the balls movement patterns as such which are more influenced by your punches on a larger bag.
    This is just one of the aspects that the slacker, smaller bag is used for.
    an example of the difference in how the bag functions, depending on how you set it up -
    when you first try to hit a tight, fast ftc bag you'll probably think its really hard, this is because you instinctively look at the target and release a punch based on that calculation and most times you miss.
    because its moved by the time you punch... try this , stand in front of the bag and jab it, then close your eyes, don't move and jab again in the same place, your likely going to hit it, despite what your brains telling you when your eyes are open.
    so you simply cannot put your fist to the target when employing your "visual spatial perception" reaction alone. To be successful in this instance you will need to assume the position of the bag to always be centered and jab there, do this and you will have more success hitting the ball, based off timing and movement patterns instead of reactive perception.
    So we understand now that its not as simple as one bag set-up being better, or worse then the other , but really its your understanding on what the bag is actually doing for you and how it can be applied in the ring.

    The "Chin Ball" was first made by 90 year old Ray Ramos ( 69' lightweight champ Mando Ramos' father). Its called the chin ball, I have been taking this ball to all the gyms since 89'. Only now do biter trainers see its value. I'm able to knock out flies because of it. I have a new improved version of it, for this reason known fighters never want some from me.

    • @spartanboxing1

      @Run DMC Ray was in the army with Rocco Marciaggiano in 1949 and Rays father would make speed bags in the 1920's. Thank you.

      @spartanboxing1 3 года назад

      @Run DMCRun, my trainer two time world champion Armando "Mando" Ramos had a thing about sparring.... each sparring match I went into had to be going hard. It's the only way Mando Ramos wanted his fighters to train. That's the only way I learned how to box, is to go hard. I'm in shape always, 147lbs.... we'll meet up at the wild card gym in Hollywood anytime, let me know.

    • @spartanboxing1
      @spartanboxing1 3 года назад

      @Run DMC Run, I know, that's what I tell myself, it's a joke to me what I can do in the ring. I was part of Mando's Ramos "B.A.A.D" boxing program. Boxing Against Alcohol Drugs. Mando was a great champion and lost it all to alcohol and drugs. Youngest lightweight Champion Mando would mentor to us about the danger of alcohol and drug abuse. This was 1983 at the Wilmington teen center where he taught his Boxing skills. Mando felt great to teach champion Boxing skills to us. Other Champions would come in and teach their skills. Champions Raul Rojas, Bobby Chacon, Paul Gonzalez, Hector Lopez, I have a long list .A lot of years Boxing here. Ash Adams did a documentary "The Distance" boxing documentary.Through Mando I got to throw leather with so many great pros, champions. Azabache Martinez could take punches, my respects to him, I thought he was an old man and I had just turned 18, I learned alot about being hurt. but its good to know what to do when hurt, if ever hurt. Bood and ko's like the old closed Hoover and 77th "The war zone" Boxing sparring gyms(two 16x16 rings) Smitty ran the Broadway and 108th st. Boxing gym,v still open but R.I.P. to all that have paased on. 2 time golden gloves finalist here.Look, let's show up at the wild card and warm up then let's get in the ring? Freddie's gym is about the only place left. David Gonzalez at the DG boxing could be a place to spar. The UFC gym in Long Beach would let us spar, but they would just want to make you were sure beforehand though. I'm still ready, age is nothing but a number here. Another thing, this body throws and turns steel every day for the last 25 years, boxing over 37 years. You have to be able to turn your body on to another level. Be able to blow steam from your traps. When?

      Tennis ball is too light. I made a double end ball myself (better then any I bought myself). I cut a tennis ball half-open and stuffed it with R6-batteries to get it heavy and hard. This is also good for bare knuckle-sparring against it. It will thicken your skin and make your cartilage grow stronger.
      Put a elastic cord or rope through the ball and cover it with a sock, then wrap it with silver tape. You can then take a weight plate, put it on your floor and attach the rope/cord to it - and at the ceiling with a hook. Depening on how tight you stretch the cable/rope/cord will change how the ball reacts when it gets hit.
      It's a really great exercise to develop precision and technique.
      Any questions about making your own double end bag/ball just hit me up.

    • @kylehooro368

      @@Airguitarfooker did you have the elastic cord the entire length from floor to roof? Or use rope from the ball to roof and elastic from floor to ceiling?

    • @Airguitarfooker
      @Airguitarfooker 6 лет назад

      I had the elastic cord running through the entire ball so it was the same cord. If you want your ball to move more like in this video you will need to use a elastic cord from the floor attached to the ball, and a normal "non-elastic" cord running from the ball to the ceiling. You can also play around with it vice versa. In this case you can instead drill two holes in your ball (top/botton) and tie knots on your cords as attachement inside the ball to hold them steady. Be sure to stuff the ball heavy, as a light ball just will move around too easy.
      Also, I think the cords in this video are thin long rubber bands.

    Because he knows he won't be able to take their punches. In the sport of boxing, these fighters have less then 8 percent body fat. That means they're extreme athletes meaning every pound makes a difference.
    If Canelo would've been hit by a fighter who was the same weight the way he got hit he would've been knocked out because the weight would've been transitioned into the punch correctly.
    Once again, no offense but educate yourself and go to a boxing gym. I trained in Riverside for 13 years

    Getting to the point though, if Mosley doesn't come in at 150% and has no game plan he's going to get knocked out by Canelo.
    Canelo is too big for Mosley. And he hides between those hooks and crosses which can be deciphered correctly by a natural fighter at his weight in their prime

  • @adxgr0undzer0
    @adxgr0undzer0 12 лет назад +1

    Negative, Canelo is a super middle weight naturally but cuts weight to super welter/middleweight.
    He's the middle weight version of Nonito Donaire, just taking advantage of smaller fighters. If you knew anything about exercise, boxing or fitness you would know this.
    Canelo wasn't "Badly hurt" he was getting rocked by a 40 yr old fat ass Baldomir who threw left hooks. Don't watch the highlights watch the full fight. Canelo doesn't want to fight in his division like Chavez

    • @lande813

      Of course it doesn't, when the elastic is tight it will move in a more uniform way, people don't always move in a calculated way....when the elastic is looser, the ball will move and act more randomly....which will sharpen your reaction times because your brain will be constantly challenged by off 'Beat' movement!!...It is quite logical if you think about it.
      That's probably the reason that the elastic is even off-centre, again just to increase random movement to the ball, I doubt because of the makers incompetence.

    I purchased both the medium ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes.Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.
