Instead of a bungee, I used 2 sets of rubber bands looped to the desired length - about 4 feet. I am 6'3". Use a crochet needle to pull the cord through.
Thanks so much for the awesome video, just made a triple sharpshooter and can't wait to practice on it! For those frustrated with shoving the knot in, I found an easier way to get the cord through. I saved the knotting for the end so you only need to get the double string through instead of a bulky knot. I pulled the string tight against a flathead screwdriver so it made a loop on the tip and wrapped it with tape, helping it stay in place as I pushed it through both holes. Then I knotted on both sides of the ball to hold it in place - I'm sure this has its disadvantages versus the original, but for people like me who don't have a knitting needle sitting around, it did the trick!
Thanks for the great video. It inspired me to get off my ass and start working out again. I pretty much followed your idea but i used bungee cord top and bottom and used your idea of using the metal rings to adjust the tension on the top and the bottom with the added benefit that it allows me to vary the height of the ball. Thanks again.
@@TrustDogBoxing Genial! Ahora lo veo entonces, muchas gracias! Creo que todo lo del video lo puedo conseguir, de hecho algunas cosas las tengo, lo que no se bien que es es lo que esta en la punta de abajo (lo que se agarra al gancho que está en el piso)
great video mate! i like that you took the extra work to ensure quality and functionality. i make these DIY gym components whenever i can for my personal gym. I subscribed and i look forward to your future content. if you haven't done the sharp shooter hat i got great diy instructions (no video unfortunately, i'm too lazy for that effort lol) or i would love to see what you do!
@@TrustDog well you're doing a wonderful service to all of us who compete competitively but are not at high enough level, (potential Olympic/pro candidates) that don't get the same gym time in the ABC so we have to do a lot on our own. And everyone else at any level for that matter. You've worked everywhere from beginners to high level pros so you're a great person to get advice from! Thanks again! Everyone at St Pancras ABC are always looking for extra training drills and fight tips, particularly from American and Mexican boxers and trainers.
Why use bungee/resistance bands only at bottom and paracord at top? Would using bungee/bands at top of ball AND bottom allow for more movement, or less? Great vid! Thanks!
Bry Hvd No because it would just sway and not rebound. You use the bungee only if you like but it will rebound in all directions including up and down.
Hi there. I made another video of a Triple Sharp Shooter in which I did use after workout. I look stiff because I was wearing a waist slimmer belt lol 😂
i just put a slit on top and bottom of tennis ball, tied multiple elastic bands together to make two long ropes, tied a knot at the end of each and stuffed it in the tennis ball with tweezers then tied the ends to my light and a dumbell at the right height and it works a charm this is a whole lotta shit lol
marti C Malta Simply take a piece of paracord approximately two feet long and tie a knot at the end to make a loop. When you run the loop through the ball, make sure the knot goes inside the tennis ball.
You can but the felt material of the ball will wrap around the drill bit so you have to be careful that you don't twist your wrist. The reason I burn the hole is so that the hole doesn't get bigger by tearing from all the striking.
Hi Simon, that depends on the height of the ceiling or what you will use to hang the sharp shooter and the bungee depends on how tall you are. The ball should be about chin or nose high. Install the top part first so that you can adjust the height of the ball. Then install/fix the tension of the bungee to your liking.
Dan P I think it's 10 pounds but since I double it, it's about 20 pounds. However, the tighter you make it, the more resistance the ball has but less movement. Thanks for taking the time to watch. I hope you subscribe 👍🏼
Trust Dog Boxing Thanks. I ended up using a bungie cord to easily switch them out. Also made a nerf soccer ball and tennis ball one. Really appreciate your vids and absolutely just subscribed. Keep it up man super helpful!
Yes, some people use soccer balls for double-end bags/balls but this is not a full size ball. This is used for a greater challenge hitting the much smaller target.
side note: making metal go from extreme cold temperatures to hot and vice versa will damage the metal. use warm water, dry the screwdriver and let the screwdriver cool off by itself.
The second ball is the one I used in the DIY vid but you can add a second or third ball to the setup, which gives you more targets. Check out my "Triple Sharp Shooter" video for an example.
To save the initial steps, go to a pet store... you can frequently find tennis balls with elastic loops through them in the dog toy section.
Didn't know this. This is why your comments are very much appreciated, thanks.
Mike Laplante i was thinking that too
can we use real bungee cords ??
Instead of a bungee, I used 2 sets of rubber bands looped to the desired length - about 4 feet. I am 6'3".

Mike Laplante dude thanks!!!!

Your a legend bro ! Thanks for the tutorial
Not quite yet 😬👍🏼
8:17...that's what she said. lol. great vid
Very Nice
Thank you Coach 👍🏼
good for practicing kicks accuracy too, excellent video thanks!
So whats the top sling for? Thats the part i couldnt understand. Or was it used just because you didnt have enough bungee length?
The top is a non elastic paracord. It’s to stabilize the bouncing up and down of the ball after striking it. 👍🏼
Cool. The double-ended bag is key. I'm definitely going to have to try this.
Yes Sir!
Really helpful video thanks for your time and effort
You are very welcome. I’m glad you liked it. 👍🏼

No demo????
I have another video were I do demonstrate 👍🏼
JT Van V's channel gave a big shout out to this video.
Made one. Thanks guys. Uploaded video of me attempting to use it. lol
Why use bungee/resistance bands only at bottom and paracord at top? Would using bungee/bands at top of ball AND bottom allow for more movement, or less?
Great vid! Thanks!
Yes, using only bungee will give too much bounce in all directions, including up and down. Thanks for your input 👍🏼
Awesome Vid thanks for POSTING :D!
nelson NSC Thanks 👍🏼
@justmichael82, Thanks I'm glad you liked it. I hope you also saw my "Triple Sharp Shooter."

Lots of crochet enthusiasts on this video
I hope not upset grannys 🤣👍🏼
This is a great tutorial! Thank you.
Julius Zavala Thanks for your support 😊👍🏼
Excelente work!
Nice job
Thanks glad you liked it
Can I use parachute rope or do I really need a elastic cord?
Bry Hvd No because it would just sway and not rebound. You use the bungee only if you like but it will rebound in all directions including up and down.
Trust Dog Boxing get it thanks!
nice bro👍
Thanks bro
You didnt test it out?
Yes but it’s in another video 👍🏼
make a video on how to use this thanks
Hi there. I made another video of a Triple Sharp Shooter in which I did use after workout. I look stiff because I was wearing a waist slimmer belt lol 😂
Thanks for showing.

😂 Yes but I wanted something that would last for a while.
I am having a very hard time pulling the knot through the hole any tips
Isaac Perez It is a little difficult but you just have pull on the cord hard enough to get it through. Maybe the hole is a little too small.
Hey man, I just left a comment on the video about a way I personally found easier, maybe you will find it helpful
I would buy this from you
Hey Kevin I'm glad you like the video. Email me at trustdogboxing@gmail.com. Thanks for watching.
Very nice a video thank you
Thanks 👍🏼
Is this a game? I don't see any action after the product is ready to go
Sorry but this is just a DIY video. I have another video hitting a Triple Sharp Shooter. You should check it out.
Thanks!!!
Menny Ossi Your welcome 👍🏼
It look like i can use it my Karate, thank you.
Cool I’m glad it can help you 👍🏼
how was that sling rope made,i would like to do just like yours
marti C Malta Simply take a piece of paracord approximately two feet long and tie a knot at the end to make a loop. When you run the loop through the ball, make sure the knot goes inside the tennis ball.
could you do this with a big tennis ball
As a matter of fact I did using a five inch tennis ball which is great but I didn't do another video because I didn't want to be repetitive 🎾👊🏼
can you just list the materials used in the description thankyou
Bro can i use a Hand Drill when making a whole into the tennis Ball?
You can but the felt material of the ball will wrap around the drill bit so you have to be careful that you don't twist your wrist. The reason I burn the hole is so that the hole doesn't get bigger by tearing from all the striking.
Trust Dog Boxing wow quick response ok Bro tnx God Bless!
what is the name of the cord that was used at 6:50 ?
Colin Cruz It's paracord. You can order it on Amazon or buy it at most Home Depot or Walmart.
can we use real bungee cords to get this done???
Amal Divakaran Yes as long as it's strong enough 👍🏼
once its nice and tight...once it's nice and tight haha great video tho
Not the safest methods but i like it
This works like a SKLZ speed striker? I want one but i dont want to spend money.
Same concept but you can add balls and make other modifications to my setup.
What is the length of rope and elastic?
Hi Simon, that depends on the height of the ceiling or what you will use to hang the sharp shooter and the bungee depends on how tall you are. The ball should be about chin or nose high. Install the top part first so that you can adjust the height of the ball. Then install/fix the tension of the bungee to your liking.
How much resistance are those purple bands? I'm not sure what strength band to get! Thanks.
What about a soccer ball?
Yes, some people use soccer balls for double-end bags/balls but this is not a full size ball. This is used for a greater challenge hitting the much smaller target.
I AM USING A FENDER BOAT BAG FOR SOME VARIETY.THE VERTICAL POLYFORM G 1 FILLING WITH AIR.TRY IT SOME TIME.I WILL POST A VIDEO SOON
Lakis Krystal Sounds interesting. Let me know when you upload the video 👍🏼
OK MAN I WLL
GINE ME YOUR MAIL TO SEND YOU SOME PHOTOS
where are you Wilson ?
LOL 😂
Ну прикольно
Спасибо, мой друг
Is Luis Miguel in the background?
side note: making metal go from extreme cold temperatures to hot and vice versa will damage the metal. use warm water, dry the screwdriver and let the screwdriver cool off by itself.
Demonstration please.....
Let's see that hand speed
I did a demo in my Triple Sharp Shooter video but I was a bit tired from hitting the bags so I was slow (lol).
Lomachenko brought me here
New subcribe in you channel .

احسنت العمل

Once we've done that... he he he sorry dude but this is pretty thanks ill be doing this..
Yeah! Guys can make pretty things too 😊
Whats the 2nd tennis ball for?
The second ball is the one I used in the DIY vid but you can add a second or third ball to the setup, which gives you more targets. Check out my "Triple Sharp Shooter" video for an example.
It's a crochet hook.
Thanks :)
