  • DIY Sharp Shooter Double End Ball for your boxing gym or home. This is a great tool to teach or improve your straight punches like the jab, right or left cross or simply to help you improve snapping your punches. The Sharp Shooter Double End Ball can be installed on your ceiling and floor anchors of your existing double end bag or you can installed it horizontally by attaching it to two poles or walls.

    To save the initial steps, go to a pet store... you can frequently find tennis balls with elastic loops through them in the dog toy section.

      can we use real bungee cords ??

    • @cybern9ne
      @cybern9ne 7 лет назад +5

      Instead of a bungee, I used 2 sets of rubber bands looped to the desired length - about 4 feet. I am 6'3".
      Use a crochet needle to pull the cord through.

    Thanks so much for the awesome video, just made a triple sharpshooter and can't wait to practice on it! For those frustrated with shoving the knot in, I found an easier way to get the cord through. I saved the knotting for the end so you only need to get the double string through instead of a bulky knot. I pulled the string tight against a flathead screwdriver so it made a loop on the tip and wrapped it with tape, helping it stay in place as I pushed it through both holes. Then I knotted on both sides of the ball to hold it in place - I'm sure this has its disadvantages versus the original, but for people like me who don't have a knitting needle sitting around, it did the trick!

    Thanks for the great video. It inspired me to get off my ass and start working out again. I pretty much followed your idea but i used bungee cord top and bottom and used your idea of using the metal rings to adjust the tension on the top and the bottom with the added benefit that it allows me to vary the height of the ball. Thanks again.

    Why use bungee/resistance bands only at bottom and paracord at top? Would using bungee/bands at top of ball AND bottom allow for more movement, or less?
    Great vid! Thanks!

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  6 лет назад

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  8 лет назад

      You can but the felt material of the ball will wrap around the drill bit so you have to be careful that you don't twist your wrist. The reason I burn the hole is so that the hole doesn't get bigger by tearing from all the striking.

    What is the length of rope and elastic?

    • @TrustDog
      @TrustDog  8 лет назад

      Hi Simon, that depends on the height of the ceiling or what you will use to hang the sharp shooter and the bungee depends on how tall you are. The ball should be about chin or nose high. Install the top part first so that you can adjust the height of the ball. Then install/fix the tension of the bungee to your liking.

      As a matter of fact I did using a five inch tennis ball which is great but I didn't do another video because I didn't want to be repetitive 🎾👊🏼
