I picked some up for $135 and my lord these are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn and I usually run wide on shoes/boots. I’m very happy with the construction and quality and am very picky with footwear. Never thought I’d get a pair but glad I did
Great review. I ended up sending mine back. I just didn't find myself reaching for them often enough to justify keeping them. (Especially with the price point.) I'll be trying out my Dropset 2's on Thursday! 🤞
Bought my first pair for regular wear. Love them. Bought the first pair predominantly for an athletic shoe that I could also wear casually. They’re so comfortable I ended up buying another pair specifically for working out. I had a severe edema in my heel over a year ago and this was the first shoe to not cause a flair up with all day wear or during a workout sesh. Love these shoes!
Me too heel planter fasciitis! These shoes are great if you have or experience heel pain ! I love them 👍🏻🇨🇦and they look great, not like an orthopaedic shoe! 5 ⭐️
The design team FINALLY put the brama bull back on the side of the shoe(unlike the 4) and it’s big enough to see. These are on sale at Dick’s sporting goods for $65 for certain colorways.
i really like the PR line actually. I'm a bit more flat-footed and needed more cushion or my feet will feel like it's on fire whenever I work out. To date, I still prefer PR2 and PR3s. DIdn't like the 4s and 5s but the 6, when I tried them felt closer to the 3s. But you're right, it is a costly pair of shoes :(
Hi, Jake! Planning to buy these but just curious whether it'll fit for a treadmill walk after my training sesh. I do my incline treadmill walk for about 20 - 30 mins 4 days per week so, wish to know if I can hop in with the same without changing to a running shoe. Have you tried them on for a walk yourself? Thanks! Great review BTW... Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the review. I've been contemplating getting these shoes. I currently use the metcon 7s. I'm more of a powerbuilder athlete and occasionally do athletic plyometric workouts. Do you recommend this shoe for squatting and deadlifting over 400 pounds? Is the heel more plush or firm?
Eh, it's okay and would be firm enough for your needs, but are open to other models? I'm keen to see if you like the Born Primitive Savage 1 or Reebok Nano 2.0. Both are wider with more density for lifting!
@thatfitfriend they're pretty good. I'm a week in using them. And I've done pretty much all the exercises wearing it. I'm a pretty big guy 6'0 230 lbs and I found these very comfortable to wear. And I don't need to switch from my metcons to runners to do LISS which is quite convenient. I was sold when you did the review on the metcon free 5s.
I got them yesterday and idk why they make my feet hurt. The shoe is tight in the front and the back of my ankle keeps rising out despite them being the right size as the other UA shoes I had since last year. I'm not a fit fiend or anything, just wanted good new shoes to last long. These kinds hurt. Will they open up in the front and adjust eventually or did I spend in futility?
Still prefer the PR1, I like the 4 cause of its versatility, but I wish they’d come out with another one like the PR1 that was solely for heavy lifting
I am trying to find a comfortable pretty much an all day type of shoe but I can use for training and stuff like that I’m not relief fit or anything like that. I’m planning on getting fit why I’m also want them for training but I have a slight ankle issue and I’m wide foot and it’s kind of hard to find a good pair of shoes
Keep in mind that PR 6 vs Rom 4 is a very diff shoe type. Training shoe vs weightlifting shoes so they'll be very different regarding their performance/construction. Rom 4 won't be a shoe that you can use for versatility and cross-training, for example.
@@thatfitfriend oh 100% , to be honest I had a budget and was looking for a weightlifting shoe , I already bought metcon 8 but pr6 was looking kind of fancy but no point keeping such shoes when I can buy something like tribase 5 at a cheaper price
I try to stay away from the project rock line since the first, I just don't know why, but I couldn't do it. I like the reign series, but these are a pass for me

I get that and that makes sense! Interested for your Dropset 2 thoughts.
Personally I don’t think it’s heavy the PR5s was pretty heavy than the PR6. In my opinion the PR6 are WAAAY better and my fav right now 😁
6s for sure better. Heavy compared to other training shoes, btw
Easily my favorite since the 2... 4 was good too. As a bigger person the PR6 has been great for me.
Love hearing that!

Managed to get this for $60 USD. Very happy with that price. Can’t wait to try these out.
That's a solid deal!
I got mine on sale for 91.00 at Dick’s Sporting, I love the shoe. Bought also the veterans PR6 for regular price.

Totally feel that! So costly for a shoe that isn't really specialized regarding performance.
@thatfitfriend - I've tried them all and the PR2's are still my favorites.
@@capt1941 2s were a solid model! I remember reviewing those when I was at BB!

Reign 6 hands down

Should be fine for incline walking, imo! Will feel heavy, but will be fine at the end of the day! Thank you
does you back ankle foot as the material always touch my leg because i use short ankle socks
Not terribly, imo!
Hello bro.... would you recommend PROJECT ROCK 6 OR PHANTOM 3 SE for daily usage ??? Please do reply @jake
PR6 if you can find them for a good price :)
What would be a go to light weight gym shoe for recreational lifting?
Hit you back on my other vid!
Is this model more similar to the PR4 or PR5? Love the 4s and absolutely hated the 5s.
3/4, I feel. Def pretty diff from the 5!

@@christo9693 6 despite it being a little more costly, tbh

Is that a good shoe for daily wear and also good for wider feet or not , please let me know sir thanks

Love these shoes! Especially for a heavier guy like myself! No more heel pain 👍🏻🇨🇦5⭐️

I'd say... PR 2, PR 4/6, BSR 2, BSR 3, PR 5!

Ayyyy

Super hit or miss shoes. I don’t think you’re alone there!
Hey Jake. You mentioned in the PR5 review that you felt that your feet were more forward in the shoe. Is that the case here as well?
To an extent, but it's not as noticeable in this model due to its lower toe spring, IMO!
Thanks @@thatfitfriend. Will give this a try then. 🙂
@@aravindnair4556 keep me posted!
I’m a fan of all things Project Rock. But this is my least favorite model. It’s the outer design and the price point. The PR 3 is my favorite.
Chonky and expensive. you're not alone in that sentiment.
I payed today for them $45 at roses
Oh heck yeah! Good pick up, bro!
Got lucky and found one pair of my size for $39 at the UA outlet💪🏽
I love these shoes for lifting. Plus I got them for $108 at Dick's.
Solid deal!
Got the black ones for 92 at Dicks cuz I wasn't paying 160
