I am a 90 kilo guy, I am going to train hard three days a week and I do an intense workout, I had the reign 6 and I liked them, but I have not tried the nano X4, I also do some cardio but above all I want something comfortable and stable Since I do squats, deadlifts... and I have wide feet, do you think the X4 will be good? I'm glad you like them. I really enjoy building these. They challenge me to look at more nuance between different models and I plan to keep doing them! Thank you!
I've been using the UA Reign 6 for about 5 months now and got to say it's been very supportive to do most of my lower body workouts. I feel relaxed and never had an issue wearing it for 2 hours straight unlike the Nano X3s which I feel a bit discomfort at times where I have to remove the shoe so that my toes can come out of numbness. I feel like the Reign 6 pair can easily dodge a bullet since they are built so well! 😇 The best purchase I've made in 2024, hands down & Thanks for the recommendation Jake! For 2025 I have already purchased a Nike Metcon 9 - Grey shoe with the Cyan sole hoping to train and compete in a local CrossFit competition. Long way to go... Thanks again! 💪🏻 Cheers to you!!! 🍻
Hey Jake! Love the videos. I ended up going with the black/pink/blue Nano x4. I was worried about the width because I also have little bit wider feet. I bought my true size, 11.5, and they were a bit snug on the outer foot for a little, but broke in so well! Now they fit perfect.
@@thatfitfriend my feet don’t run as warm, but after my 3rd session they were feeling pretty molded to my feet. That snug spot on my left outer foot went away completely.
Thanks to you, Jake, I got the Reign 6. These are some of the best gym shoes I've ever had, even though they are not as aesthetically pleasing as other shoes. Please do a gym sock video.
Wide toe box and smaller heel toe drop for the win! The Nanos used to have that. Stopped wearing them after the X. Now I wear the UA's. The 6 are legit amazing.
Great review 👌! I recentely bought the Reign 5 and like it very much! I am consedering the Reign 6 but i am wondering if that midsole isn't to squishy? I have also the metcon 6 with a midsole like that and i find it to soft!
Stick with the 5s then especially if they're working. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, imo. The 6s will feel more plush compared to the 5s but I've squatted over 400 and pulled north of 5 in em and found them to be fine

Best X-Fit shoe I have ever owned - by a mile. And I have tried alot of shoes. I'm waiting for them to go on sale then I'll get 3 pairs in addition to the one I have.
Love these breakdowns mate ! Quick question - do you find these a tad long or is that how much space you like up front. Just basing this off the shot of your foot on the insole, mine is very similar & I can’t tell if going down half a size would have been better …. Thoughts ?
They run a smidge long, but I like the space in this context and it never hinders performance. So much of that is personal preference, though, but if it doesn't hinder performance/you don't have heel slip - I'd let em ride! Thank you for checking out the video!
Hi Jake! I'm actually too confused in between this 2 models because I've been using barefoot shoes for training and developed a knee problem (chrondomalacy) and I think I should find a more shock absorbing shoes for my cross trainings and regular gym use. Which one would you recommend? Also took a look at the Dropset 3 from Adidas. I also use custom insoles so I will take out the regular one and put mine. Told this because I think the shock absorbing part on the Reign 6 is particularly on the insole. Huge thanks in advance, hope you see this comment 🙏
Reign 6 can be great but may not be the best for custom insoles since it utilizes the drop-in midsole. Nano X4 can run narrow and lower volume in the toe box. Dropset 2/3 would be my suggestion to start with. Reign 6 is second pick.
@@thatfitfriend Went to a shop yesterday and tested the Dropset 3. It felt a bit tight but I think is maybe because they are new or I am not used to it. About the Nano X4, you mean the sole is not that shock absorbing? Can't find them physically to test it out. What do you think about the Free Metcon 6? @@thatfitfriend Hi Jake, sorry for bothering you again, but I've been trying to test the shoes in person and wasn't able to check it properly. What do you think about the Metcon 9 or Free Metcon 6? I just starting going to the gym and was looking for a stable shoe for squats and beginner dumbell exercises since I wobble a bit in my nike running shoes, but would like also something good for some treadmill runs for warmups or end of exercise runs. Thanks heaps for your very helpful comparisons Jake!! I would love to go for reign 6 based on your review however just find out they don’t come in US6/EU39😭

@@thatfitfriend Another question please, would you think it’s a good idea for men to go for the women’s trainers for the same model but because of the sizing problem (or the way round)? For example Reign 6 do come in US6 (and above) but under the women’s category. Or sometimes men’s certain sizes run out of stock but still available under women’s.

Hi im looking into buying some new trainers but looking for some advice. My primary use for the shoes will be plyos, sprinting, change of direction training on turf mostly.
