  • Bunch of requests for a full video of how to get these 2013 Genesis Coupe tails apart. Video stops after i have the light fully broken down. I painted them with Rustoleum paint/primer in Satin Black. Throw it all back together and seal it closed with some 100% silicone caulk. Enjoy =D

    Hey thanks for the video! I've been looking to do this for a while and this video was just what I needed! I'm going for black with white accents and sequential! Just waiting on parts now

    Yeah no problem. They came out awesome. Love them all blacked out as they were the last remaining thing on my car that wasn't black haha. And love the exposed individual red leds

    Is the LED lights red colour? or have you to put the red plastic back?

    • @williampietraszewski4140
      @williampietraszewski4140  7 лет назад +1

      Yea the Leds are red under that red plastic cover. You remove that cover completely and leave it out. You will see all the individual red leds which leads looks awesome

    Avoid touching the lens with fingers and tool,they scratch easily.use tiny screwdriver around edges.for the red wing part use screwdriver near the smallesst area and give it a wack thru the led hole to pop it out.otherwise seems not bad

    Why you cut the edge? Is the second video that I see the same step. Can't you warm it up with heat gun or oven as the headlight step?

    • @williampietraszewski4140
      @williampietraszewski4140  7 лет назад +1

      Hey. No the tail lights can't be baked or heat gun and pulled apart. They are one piece and need to be cut in half to open them up. Headlights can be baked or heat gunned. Good luck

      Hey man. Just a tube of 100% silicone from Home Depot. Toss it in a calling gun and use it generously on all seems

      @williampietraszewski4140  7 лет назад

      dac7622 yes sand all the chrome with a fine wet sand paper to help the paint stick

      William Pietraszewski even the inside behind the red plastic ?

    • @williampietraszewski4140
      @williampietraszewski4140  7 лет назад

      dac7622 any chrome Younare painting gets sanded

    • @dac7622
      @dac7622 7 лет назад

      William Pietraszewski okay sounds good might just get it sand blasted to ensure a good finish

    • @williampietraszewski4140
      @williampietraszewski4140  7 лет назад

      dac7622 not necessary. Thenplastic is very soft and sandblasting will likely leave an in smooth finish. I didn't sand mine at all and they came out fine but you should def just do a quick light sanding
