Always said the same thing. Love ducktails on 911.. plus would eliminate mechanical stuff that would break and make the cars price tag a little cheaper
The performance is much better than you would think for 380hp but I think all the hype and good press has made the prices insane. I love my 992 (992.1 now?) but there are a few details about the 992.2 I would have to spend some time getting used to. For starters, that box on the front containing the lidar & camera. At least on the 992 it's not asymmetrical, in fact it's completely hidden by an aftermarket mesh I installed to keep debris out of the grills. On the 992.2 it looks like an afterthought. Second, the pushbutton starter. In the 992 its not a key, but at least it feels like a key! Third, the full digital driver's display. I love that the 992 still had an analog tach dominating the center, but to balance that out the steering wheel blocked most of the digital display. So depending on how configurable the 992.2 display is maybe its possible to put more of the information you want front & center, which would be a good thing. Aside from that the new base Carrera has the turbos from the 992 GTS - this is awesome because you can tune that to 600+ HP levels of performance! Previously you had to swap in the larger GTS turbos. So if you don't care about the new hybrid and e-turbo tech but want GTS level performance, consider the base 992.2 with just a few modifications.
Where I live in Southern Spain we are on the NVH/brake endurance routes for prerelease cars. They do two circuits AM/PM and currently the focus is on electric 911s and other models. They are in camo wrap and have triangular yellow electric shock stickers on them. Mercedes are testing their electric models as well, some are towing a loaded trailer.
Great car, great vid as always, Yuri and Jakub. A suggestion for you, fellas: not much sense in being in manual mode and a tall gear before hitting sport response and flooring it - not much happening there. Auto mode and sport response the car would immediately show off the brilliance of the PDK and sport engine response. Also, just a hunch but most of the people buying this car will not encounter Yuri's frenetic channel switching/ "I'm a passenger" issue. Looking forward to the Taycan and GTS reviews!
I prefer the analog center tack on my 992.1 C4S, prefer the turn "key" start, the interior trim piece paint match I don't think will age well. Everything else is okay.
I much prefer the 992.2 default headlights honestly. These are the optioned version. Love the color on the base model. That interior matched is not my taste at all though. I also think cabriolet versions are much better as Turbo or Turbo S so they get that spoiler. Don’t love that bulbous back end for the Carrera cabriolet though lol. The are spec nitpicks though, love the car!
I bought a loaded Carrera Coupe in 2021 for ~130K USD. Have since tuned it which is pretty interesting with the open diff. It's a great car but then all 992's are fantastic. Mine has 45k miles.
dude the 911 will always be amazing value in any trim, but at this point the base model is the only one truly seeming unfair for the price. I mean the GTS starts at 160 but you dont have to splurge an extra 5k for leather and another 7 for sport chrono and sport exhaust...

Currently have a 23 911 GTS, the back seat will accommodate small statured individuals. I am 5’10” and 180 lbs. and the back seats are a no go for any length of the ride. My head touches the roof and no leg room without placing the front seat fully forward. My youngest son (9-year-old) at 4”10” can sit in the back but the front seat needs to be moved forward to accommodate his knees. The 911 is reserved for me and a front passenger only. When I need to take the family of 4 anyplace, we take our BMW M5 (F90) or my wife’s Macan GTS.
