Trav: like how you forced yourself to slow down and prepare b4 trying to start the truck...many of tubers do not, and cause trouble/damage..hard lesson to learn...and being a Dad is such a great gift and a huge step in life...give regards to the Mrs...she has the toughest job of all..
Congratulations on the baby news. You're going to be great parents!! Man Travis, you sounded just like Rick when you told the story about the torque convertor. You are your father's son!! You guys are great. Keep doing what you do. Looking forward to following your dream Cummins build.
😊 Travis, another great video. A little bit of everything. Congrats to you and Emily. Your dad got to be. Really proud of you. Keep these videos. Coming, they are the best.
I know you’re looking at that cab is junk. But just watching you tear apart I guarantee there’s someone back east here in the Rust belt that would love to have that cab. Having said that I vote Diamond T, Mack, or Brockway as a replacement cab😎 love the channel! I really miss working with my dad. He’s been gone 25 years today.
I kinda had a feeling when I saw the thumbnail that this might be what you had mentioned & It was and I can't wait ! Also really cool learning more about Diesels! So curious as to what Body style you'll choose. Congratulations to you both ! Praying !
Way to go! I know you will be great parents. Enjoy everything, as an older guy I still look back on the pregnancy and raising my girls and it makes me happy.
Those ac lines are a quick connect fitting, there is a disconnect tool to take them apart. Ford uses to use the same fittings on both their AC and fuel lines.
Interesting project Travis. Personally, I'd love to see you maybe come up with a very early quadcab or extended cab truck to mount onto your 12 valve frame. 30's, 40's.... Very rare, but their still out there...
Well done Travis & Emily, looking good Rick. The only advice is the one best thing, I think you know from Rick. Spend time with the kids. Give them attention.
Congratulations on the baby. I saw it on Instagram a week ago, I think. As a father of 2 girls. I wanna wish you good luck. And a tip that comes handy. Let them do what they want in there life. Just give them guidance in the right. Never pressure them into things. And one more thing ! Don't give them an iPad. Let them play outside. Let them get brushes and cuts . That will just prepare them for life.
Congrats dude. Kids are the best. Hopefully mom gives you time to wrench...i only get out in the shop when they're napping or at night anymore! Start stocking up on A LOT of wipes and diapers in all the sizes now! There's a lot of poop involved.
Old 40’s 50’s 1.5 ton flat bed would be perfect on the frame. Take the original flatbed and just section it out in the middle to keep the original look that I know you dig. Throw steelies on it and it would look original
Congrats on the baby! I tell new parents that kids will be the best thing and the worst thing that will ever happen to them, sometimes in the same day! Oh, and its a lot longer than 18 years!
Awesome video on the cummins and congratulations on the little one coming along. As a dad of a little girl (who's getting married March 30, 2025) spend as much time with your son/daughter as you can. It will be over before you know it. Whatever the gender, get them out there to help. Take care.
@@theetravisbright! That’s the fun of the old tools and machines makes a guy wonder. Anyhow I got to end of the video and congratulations on new addition!
Congratulations. As a father of 3 with 2 grandkids. Be involved. Teach them manners, respect for their elders. Never pass up a hug. Keep them off of video games, facebook, twitter and all that crap.
there is a quick release tool for taking the A/C lines apart come in a kit of i think 6 sizes there is a spring that the tool releases and they pull apart
Our babies were born in the 70s and we were into the all natural childbirth. We went with the La Mans method. She squeezed the kid out screeming like a Ferrari!
Girl, boy......get em out there learning practical skills..... I have two girls and I made the mistake of thinking they didnt really need to know how to notice a strange brake noise...ect...... biggest regret I have...congrats!
Its not just you, i would take a good looking Cummins like that any day lol. Congratulations! Nothing i could say will ever prepare for a kid, they always seem to leave me questioning myself. But if anything it takes a complete family/community to raise kids right, there's no right or wrong way, well mostly, if you're a decent person you this applies. And just when you think you figure it out buckle up cause you dont know the half of what could come up.
You lose about 3% to 5% with the automatics... But with the overdrive & lockup torque conv. , you basically get the same direct drive as a stick shift .. At least thats what my cousin says & he has been a Cummins mechanic since before Dodge dropped them in their trucks ... He likes the same years you do , but he bought a new Dodge truck to retire on .. He still has a couple of the old rigs though..
If she's like me at all you won't be able to keep her out of there anyway. When I was little I always come in a mess. Even to this day the curiosity to see how things work. Watch them come apart, not that I can put them back together when I was 4 years old I got into the dash of my grandfather's Pontiac. They had to take it back to the dealer to put it back together. That was in 1964 when I was seven. I tore apart our riding lawn mower. I couldn't sit down for a couple days after that, but I still love to see how they work. Your daughter will probably be the same way
That guy with the forklift was so aggresive! Like trying to load it while you were clearing the deck of Junk, then smashed up the hood! Parent advice, don't be afraid to consult professional counseling if things get real hard!
When you said Emily was 17 I was ready to go on a rant for a second there lol. Anyways, both of your new projects are sure to take your time and money, test your patience, and give you a little pain, and plenty of pride and satisfaction. Happy for you, from Argentina I wish you success and health for your child.

Congrats! She or he will be raised in an 'old soul' world. What a unique experience.
Being from the east coast, body bolts just coming right out is almost unbelievable to me but I'm watching it happen lol. Crazy

I kinda had a feeling when I saw the thumbnail that this might be what you had mentioned & It was and I can't wait ! Also really cool learning more about Diesels! So curious as to what Body style you'll choose. Congratulations to you both ! Praying !

Congrats yous two !
Love to see you picked up the Cummins
Wow super congratulations to you both. I bet gramma is extatic!
It might be hard to find but a 70’s JEEP Gladiator or Comanche would be a nice truck to build.
WOOHOOO! Congrats on being expectant parents! April 2025!
Thank you!
Congratulations, may your baby be healthy. Treasure every day you get with your child, it's over way to soon. Be well.
Arizona wasn't a state when that hoist was built. That thing is epic. A 57 -59 f100 would be super cool for a body swap.
Congratulations for the new parents , wish the best for you guys 🙏 🎊🕺✌🏻😎
Congratulations on the baby. I saw it on Instagram a week ago, I think.

Congrats on the baby! I tell new parents that kids will be the best thing and the worst thing that will ever happen to them, sometimes in the same day! Oh, and its a lot longer than 18 years!
Sounds sweet
24:53 if you can find an old 40's or 50's power wagon or a dodge carryall or a jeepster would be bad ass to put on that frame.
Happy Halloween! Lets do this!!
Parabéns! Deus abençoe sua família!

Did not know that thanks for telling me

Hahaha that’s crazy
Those ac lines have a spring retainer inside. They aren't permanent crimps.
Oh I didn’t know that 🥲
Girl, boy......get em out there learning practical skills..... I have two girls and I made the mistake of thinking they didnt really need to know how to notice a strange brake noise...ect...... biggest regret I have...congrats!
Just saying these trucks would not start in the cold on just one battery I live up in Canada.... it wouldn't go over well :p lol 😊
Hola saludos desde CDMX de 🇲🇽👍 y muchas felicidades papás 🎉🎉🎉 ya pronto tienes un ayudante
I know nothing about diesels except what I've seen on RUclips.
Your videos always impress with their high quality and in-depth content. Thank you for your hard work!🐞🌍🐙
Another bon mot from a fembot!
And the RPM gauge works! 😆😆😆😉

Build yourself a Welderup style rat rod with that diesel motor!

I’ve been waiting on this video

Just do what your dad did, you'll be all right.
Good video as always thank you kindly. I was wondering do you watch Merlin old school garage. He likes Cummings engine s to. He is in lake Havasu.
I know of him
I'd like to see him in your build I think that would be awesome. Thank you kindly for answering me.
I believe you but I have never heard dodge and good transmission in the same system 😂
I figured with your love of old stuff, you would just adopt a 50 yr old baby. L😅😊 congratulations!!
Hahahaha
"needs a little work".
You just said it was ready. Then you are taking off the transmission.😢
1950s power wagon.. rollback
I have a question? Do you have a "9-5" gig? Or YT full-time?
