I work for Eaton (specifically in the prototype sector) and the supercharger rattle is a common problem. The bearings and everything inside that blower were more than fine, but the couplers are known to wear out and rattle. For anyone who runs into this problem, just replace that coupler. Its a lot easier, much cheaper and designed to be serviceable. Edit: Removed top part. Obviously a lot of ppl have seen this. Best wishes everyone and thanks to BIFB for the quality content!!!

I love this channel but they take shortcuts and lazy/cheaper approaches to things that they don’t want to spend anymore time with. Shame too because they have the best ideas in the automotive RUclips world.
This is the most hacked together build I have ever seen, you can buy the aftermarket body panels to do this for less than $2k. They aren't as good quality as the oem ones but at least they will fit.
@@Blue_Flame_Raptor if you really wanted to you could add a couple layers to the aftermarket ones and make them better/stronger than stock. This swap makes no sense why they tried to use oem panels that simply don't fit. After everything they did it looks terrible. I'd feel like a dipshit driving around after the hack job they did.
@@jcbuilds3648 not to mention there isn't really a reason to do it. Why would anybody want their limited production truck to look like one they made hundreds of thousands of?
DIY helper tip... wear a fresh tyvek suit to work in. Your clothes have super fine silicates from your laundry detergent. Just standing around them after the final clean will shed those onto the part causing pin holes in the paint.
I think you guys did a great job everyone critiques every little thing like the door fender gap and the three lights on the front that nobody knew if they worked or not . Remember this is a shop truck to work out of not a show truck and from day one when you got the thing its definitely way more awsome id be proud of it man . You guys rock love your content .
Yeah but should still fix the fender door gap. What’s the point of doing all that work if your gonna do it half ass? I’m not trying to roast or talk smack but seriously why not put a little bit more work and make it look right?
Great job. That blue looks awesome. 👍 BTW. I like the new look but a direct comparison before vs. after would have been nice at the end. I'm just nitpicking.
i mean you have to love how much work they do themselves. painting fabricating troubleshooting. especially when you see people with way bigger shops sending a ton of stuff out to do that stuff.
You should use grey scotchbrite with a rubbing paste after using the 400grit. Two benefits, evens out the sanding scratches (so you don't see the finger marks) and cleans the panel at the same time.
I think you wired in the high beams when driving home from the restaurant if I’m not mistaken (which is why they’re so high, they don’t need adjusting)
Before you compound the bonnet (hood!) you need to sand the dust nibs with something like 2000 grit wet n dry paper. Plenty of warm soapy water, knock the nibs off, then a quick sand all over, then buff, and the results will be awesome.
Nice, a car channel doing car stuff - crazy right! Upgrade looks awesome, I would of colour matched the wide fender panels seeing as you had the gun and paint out anyway but solid job.
I would’ve sanded that better, all repair areas in 320 then spot high build primer and then final sanded the entire parts flat with 400 then 600. After sanding hit all edges with grey scotchbrite to ensure a proper mechanical adhesion, then a wet on wet coat of sealer and base, finish off your base coverage and clear coat, I always use a slower reducer than what my ambient temps require which will allow it to flow a bit better and don’t have to worry about it flashing off too fast. Slower is always faster when painting because you avoid mistakes and allow the paint to do its thing, definitely getting better with your painting. I’d suggest taking a certification course with the paint manufacturer you use the most, helped me out a ton to learn from the manufacturer how to best apply their products. Turned out great.
so im commenting this while you where doing the body work. but im pretty sure the beam thats closer to the hood line is actually the low beam and the lower one near the bumper is the high beam. ive yet to work on a gen 2 raptor but thats how all the modern f150's are so id doubt they'd do something different that may be why it was blinding other drivers
Finally! I've been waiting for this episode forever! Good job guys. Have you considered adding some matching male + female plugs to the headlight harness so you'd be able to easily disconnect if needed?
The Truck came out great I would love to upgrade the front end of my truck but that looks like more work than i'm willing to put in but great job guys!
The face lift looks really good is there a such thing as a truck bed lift because I think it would look very nice with the 2017 raptor tail gate and truck bed
Cannot wIt for single seat shows to be back. But with sema canceled. Plenty of time for that. The boat build is great. Can not wait to see all the upgrades to the B is for Boat.

Thank you
was an easy fix on my Eaton Gen III M90.
Whats service life for the internals? I’m sure that one was due for overhaul. I assume first oil change for the unit.
people like you are the reason I love this community on BIFB’s page
Should epoxy the garage floor. Cement floors give off a ton of dust.
That's why you wash down the floor, so the dust stays down. They need better ventilation. You can see the amount of spray in the air is terrible.
@@thatguy.42 or just epoxy them an leaf blow /mop them when there dirty 👀
Epoxied floors are extremely slippery, versus bare cement that sucks in the water instead of puddling.

Definitely should try to fab the 17 bumper on to the front as well it'll complete the look imo.
Nerf bumper would look better
It will never fit, look how much the frame sticks out past the body
That fender to door transition looks like it is just asking for water intrusion... Did he address that somewhere and I missed it?
The fender is just mounted on the outside really, the water cant get through there.
I don’t think it was addressed. Even if it turned out to be water tight, details like that kinda bug me. 😕
I love how you guys use cheap harbor freight tools and still do such a good job.

For others- He fixed it by the end. high's on bottom, which is (partly) why they were pointed so high when he drove back from TG
As far as your clear coat, try using a slower activated and reducer to increase your recoat window.
