Serna reminds me of a left handed version of Conchita Martinez but with a more lethal slice backhand. I remember she was hyped quite a bit in the late 90s but from what I recall, she didn't quite live up to that promise. She was still quite talented though. And to be fair, she played in a competitive era.
Today’s tennis matches and sports world in general is becoming more weak, soft and cowardly than ever before. Not enough hard-core opponents, clean shots on the courts and possibly becoming too politically correct with race and gender as the primary existences of the games as well. Just look up Jelena Ostapenko and her daily whining hissy fit and you will understand why I don't watch today's sports anymore.
