Have any of you had similar struggles to Krys? Let's encourage each other in the comments! 🤗

Wow. I am Krystriana or Krys (the woman in the harp video). I was one the the first to do a feedback video when she started offering them and it has been a wonderful way for me to get some quick feedback on my harp playing. I highly recommend it!
Although I am a little embarrassed about having my whole video out here, if it helps and encourages others, then it is well worth it.❤

Hi Krys, it’s Christy-Lyn here. You’re amazing! Thank-you for giving us permission to share your video, even though I know it’s not comfortable for you. Such a kind thing to do, and I know it will encourage so many other people who are on a similar journey with their harp learning. It’s so evident that you are being really brave on this journey and stepping forward into things where you were previously held back by fear. That is so inspiring. Keep it up! Sending love 💕

I love it when people turn to music when they get older (and I'm 67 as of yesterday)!! Especially if it's been a life long wish. Acutally it takes a bit of courage to push yourself beyond "oh, I could never do that. I'm too old. 😔" Congratulations!

Yes! My grandfather started cello lessons in his 60s and that has always inspired me to be a life-long learner♥You're never too old! --Carrie

You are a wonderfully encouraging tutor! Just good old fashioned 80/20 feedback = 80% praise for the good skills & techniques being employed, and then 20% gentle critique of the areas where the student needs guidance. Well done! And wow! Imagine finding a basically new Roosebeck Harp for $100! That's like winning the lottery!

Great video, Carrie! Always lovely to see you. I'm still struggling with the "head tilt" myself -- I feel like I've dumped lots of bad habits and developed some new good ones, but for some reason aligning myself with my harp remains a challenge. I need to make it a priority to remedy that. Thanks again!

Hey Brittany, so good to hear from you! That's great that you feel like you're making progress😃I don't know if you've seen this video before from Christy-lyn, but this might be a good refresher for making sure you're sitting correctly at the harp: ruclips.net/video/qARN9vzwtSc/видео.html
I remember that the body of your harp is rather large to reach around to play, so you'll have to find the balance between angling it enough to the left where you don't have to tilt your head to see the strings, but also positioning it to where you can comfortably reach around with your right arm. Of course feel free to reach out to us if you need more guidance! Take care❤ --Carrie

I also found a used harp at Goodwill about 6 years ago. It was a 23 string, non lever harp that someone had made and it has a beautifully deep, rich sound that really projects. It cost me $130. I felt so blessed to find it!
