Ann is so graceful on the harp! Love it! Such great advice, Carrie! Working on this right now! 🌷
This is SO helpful. I am a clarinetist and I recently bought a lever harp because I want to play one. It's very hard to go slowly when learning because I read music and also play piano which deals with fingerings. Harp is a very different creature. For me technique is everything. Building the foundations, scales, arpeggios etc. Iam watching videos, bought books.
So glad you found this useful! I can understand how that would be hard when you have musical experience and feel like your brain is ahead of your fingers - there's a lot of new muscle memory to learn! But I know you can do this! 🙌🏼It sounds like you've got a great mindset, understanding the importance of technique :) let us know if we can answer any questions that come up! -Carrie 💚
This is so helpful, what a great question and useful reply! Thank you!
ETA: I also adore the proud, happy look Carrie gets watching students play on these videos! It’s just so supportive and sweet. 💝

@@LearningtheHarp Don't want 2 say, becos it is probably not a proper one,but I don't even know how 2 read music, so going to start with this little one
Don't have the space 4 a big one yet.😂
