+ememstarr37 I'm looking at the sixties flick with the color pop, and I'm thinking that just might work with my hooded eyes if I make the sixties flick line a little thinner than is demonstrated here and skip the bottom liner. I'm not really into heavy black liner but the black line with a nice iridescent bright color is gorgeous.
+ememstarr37 So I got a lil curious and looked around, and in my honest opinion, I think really subtle thin liner would look best with hooded eyes. you could easily do these styles but with a smaller line c: It helps to use an eyeliner pen. I use a pen from Starlooks Pro and I can make just about the thinest as well as thickest lines with it and I love it so much, it stays all day long. I really hope this helps some!!!!

this is definitely not for all eye types. most of these techniques pretty much only works for yours, which has a very inset very high crease, unlike all other eye types. also, that "arab" bit was pretty racist.

It is not other peoples job to cater to your feelings of what may or may not offend you.
If you search 'arabic eyeliner' you'll find thousands of makeup looks similar to that one. It is simply a style of eye-liner. It has nothing to do with you or your culture.
May peace find the hearts of those who are seriously offended by something as trivial as that.

I'd probably be happy! haha Like yay.. there is a style named from my country that everyone loves...that's so cool xD and the arab liner style is so very beautiful. I can not wear it because my eyes are too big but whenever i see other people wear it, they are just so gorgeous :)

You couldn't steep BECAUSE you were watching stuff. Screens emit blue light which mimics early morning light and that triggers the release of cortisol into your system. Cortisol is the awake / stress hormone, and only absolute exhaustion can overcome it.

Sadly, having very droopy hooded eyelids doesn't allow me to do ANY liner on my upper lid, except maybe tightlining.

Tight lining isn't lining he upper waterline... It's putting eyeliner between your lashes.She was lining her waterline and calling it tightlining.

Alethia Cornelli That's not true actually, lining the upper waterline is called tightlining. It IS to ensure that the lashes have no visible gaps in them but it's really the same thing.

I wish I could "wing" out my eyeliner. My eyes are so deep set, the ocular bone at the corner of my eye causes the eyeliner to curve up...it doesn't work!
I have this problem too, but I wear the "60's" look everyday. You just need to look forward as you're doing the wing. You need to adapt the different parts of the line. It won't look great from the top or the side but I like it :)
Julebox722 - I have the same problem as you. No matter how hard I've practiced or how many times I've tried, I just can't get that nice "wing" shape.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! It looks ridiculous. The bone in my eyes is so prominent the eyeliner doesn't stay straight because the surface is curved. Oh well...lol.

pyewacket60 I'm in my twenties and have had hooded eyes since I was born, like my entire family on both sides, so I never stood a chance, haha. My hood completely covers my mobile lid, so if I put eyeliner on, it is not visible at all when my eyes are open. I still like to play around with eye make up and see what I can do with what I have - if you type into RUclips 'hooded eyes makeup' you get videos focusing on hooded eyes. Missmai27 for example has made several videos on the subject. I also get inspiration from how celebrities with hooded eyes do their makeup, like Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence and Lucy Liu. I just embrace it and hope it won't get a lot worse, as I really really do not want surgery.

'all eye types'.... The Arab / connect your eyeliner to the inner corner of your eyes look doesn't work for hooded lids :/ :(. I've been wanting to do that style of liner forever but I've not seen a single tutorial of one where a (true?) hooded lid is involved.

Kate... the remnants of my first tight lining experience can still be seen in the inner corner of my right eye in every video I do. Last summer I tried tight lining for the first time. I was using a liner with wood and the liner slipped and went right into my eye. Wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't a sharp edge on the wood... It hurt like a ***** and you can still see the redness a whole year later. My suggestion to anyone trying TL is to use a twist up liner in a plastic case and the liner itself should be very soft and easy to spread. XOXO
"For all Eye Shapes" this literally only works for deep set/portruding eyes. as soon as your eyes are droopy or hooded (which most people have) you can forget about 10 of those -.- just like always *sighs*

I always shower before I take my make-up fully off, washing of a part of it (and leaving a creepy look haha). Always remain careful and gentle with taking off your make-up, though.
What I'm doing after a shower, is gently patting my eyes dry (without rubbing, the make-up might stay in the towel n__n) and after that, taking a make-up removal lotion or oil or whatever comes in handy and clean my eyes further. Make sure not to let it touch your eyeballs, it might irritate a little. ;)
If I seem wonky in my explanation, I'm sorry for that. I never really think about what I might be doing, haha.
Sydney Huang your supposed to use a q tip, wet it a little and wipe the leftover off your waterline it should be gentle and not hurt at all all most refreshing to the eye and most of it will come off during the day so your just removing the residue

I like to use lotion to remove my eye makeup. But I shower first and carefully clean off my smudgy eyeliner with a soft tissue. Then I apply lotion to my eyes and the makeup comes off easily. Then clean again this time with a Q-tip. It's not that I use a lot of eyeliner, it's just that I use it daily lol hope that helps

I don't need to tightline and put black on my water line because my eyelashes are so thick that it looks like I have eyeliner on ( a couple of people asked me and I said no it's just my lashes.)

SAME! But I still like to apply eyeliner, but I dont go around the eye I just secretly do a short wing and it looks like I went all around the eye because my lashes are so long and thick you cant notice cause the wing blends in with my lashes.

My eyes are light green and my eyelashes are pretty light (light brown) so when i put any kind of eyeliner it looks weird.. Do i have to put the mascara first to nake my eyelashes black so it will go with eyelines or.. I need help uhh..
You should put mascara on after your eyeliner but if you still feel like they are too light then try coatng your eyelashes just once before eyeliner abd then go back with mascara again after. I'm a red head so i have really light eyelashes too. It could also just be that you're not used to it.

Hi Kathy, I am now using my own line, that I formulated with my husband an MD and daughter, a lawyer and reality star-- as people love our organic skin care, and they also want a bit of science in it. We have glass bottles to help nature and they are travel sized. It is CincereMD. I also use egg whites, Bentonite edible clay (with water for a mask), apple cider vinegar (ra, organic) that has a dot of it mixed with 6 more parts water to tone my skin. . . our new 22 K gold product makes you look younger and actually reverses aging. I am married to a plastic surgeon, and he studied how gold lasts forever in the earth, so we have real gold in it!

i dont understand how this is for different eye shapes..
for everyone with heavily hooded, deep set eyes like me, what I like to do is use a nude eye-shadow all over my eyelid, minus directly under my brow and my crease (instead of nude I use a white, creamy color and blend) and then I line very thinly just the outer part of my eye (it makes the eyes look a bit bigger) with BROWN liner (black is too dark for my hooded eyes) and the. finish with mascara. it's really simple and its not dramatic or anything. but of course I'm not a professional and I probably explained this poorly. Hope this helps someone
Like the 60s, feline and grunge wings. Can you move the camera a little lower, please? It was hard to see the application part of the tutorial. The grunge wing really gave me a heroin chic flashback.
Using the scotch tape is fine, but PLEASE remember to stick it to the back of you hand before you put it on your face. This will make sure you're not pulling at the skin around your eyes and damaging them too much.

I can't do tightline or waterline. Every time I attempt to do it, my eyes just start tearing up like crazy! A little touch from that pencil would make me tear up and it frustrates me *cries
