These Pilates stretches for glute pain and tightness are perfect for releasing those overactive muscles.
These glute stretches are the perfect way to improve your flexibility while decreasing soreness. If you're an active person, do these glute stretches after your workout, especially if you are a runner, cyclist or do a lot of lower body exercise. In this same area, the piriformis muscle can also get very tight; and if you suffer from piriformis syndrome, these exercises can help stretch the muscles to help decrease shooting pain. Lastly, if you experience hip pain, this can sometimes be a result of tight glutes; so you may find hip pain relief by stretching the glutes. This is a great video if you have struggles with your piriformis!
Do these exercises consistently to be prevent injuries and remain mobile and limber.

Thank you. I've been in pain from Piriformis syndrome for months and this really helps. I've been trying Pilates Reformer as well. Do you have any videos on using the reformer that shows specific exercises for that area? Or in general? Thanks!!!!!
Hi Sheila, I'm glad that this video helped your pain :) Unfortunately, I only have one general reformer workout, and it's not specific to that area. All of my workouts are mat-based.
