@@GreenGayYT She sacrificed herself for our sins, repent yourself
If she'd won we wouldn't be even talking about her as mutch, Drag Race has plenty of winners. But Bendelachristing herself? That's icon.
They would have absolutely invited her back with Jinkx for the All Winners season after winning that many challenges - and that would have been a real showdown between those 2.
@@ZzzMMZzzthat would have been AMAZING
@@ZzzMMZzzyou think those two close friends would have thrown their work relationship into that horror show?
I actually think sacrificing herself was the smartest move she could have pulled. I mean she did not know at the moment, but the eliminated queens voting for the top 2 would have been her downfall. She won so many challenges that the outcome with Trixie and Kenedy would have been the same. Just look at Shangela, she did amazing at the end, yet she still only got one vote.
@@memento81 Of course not. It's just fun to think about. Like Bob & Monet in the same competition. 😅

I really want to give props to Aja for giving us "Not Bendelachrist!" which I will say aloud periodically because it makes me giggle.
I do agree with you: Trixie Mattel would’ve had her enormous success even without the AS3 crown. The win has definitely boosted her image, but as you said, she’s worked her way way up to the stars ✨
BenDeLa honestly doesn’t need a comeback to AS, she’s so loved by her fans and she’s part of a duo with the Queen of all Queens Jinkx 😊
no honestly i keep forgetting that she won all stars
Ben's the jesus to jinkx's god
I don't mean this as shade, but most of the time when I remember Trixie won AS3 I shock myself, lol. Cause, at this point, Trixie is so much bigger than drag race in a way. Like Trixie and Katya seem so above drag race that often times you forget Katya was runner up in AS2 and Trixie actually won. They feel a million miles away from all that.
@@alorockss Yes! That was my thought exactly. Trixie was already successful. She didn't *need* it! --- (PS- I also didn't know how to say it without sounding shady, then I read your comment and was ... ah, that's it! :) )
Trixie’s ‘win’ actually damaged her image, at least at first. No one felt that finale was fair, and let’s not forget that Ben voted just as unfairly as everyone else. Trixie’s ‘win’ will always be questioned. At best, you could say she performed in about fourth place behind Ben, Shangela and Bebe.
LMAO NOT JUJUBEE & HER CATS IN THE HALL OF FAME. The way you just didnt even acknowledge that, im cackling

God that long ass lipstick message is such a nice touch lol she's so witty
I always “got” Dela’s schtick and loved her even during her original RPDR run - it was strange to learn that people genuinely disliked her or to see how some of the other queens react negatively to her. I’m glad she got her All Stars redemption though to really show people the kind of character Dela is.
The fact that she really broke the 4th wall on RPDR in that way, sent a message like *that* - it just further solidified in my mind how truly intelligent and empathetic she is.
Dela is a great example for the winner who needes no wins to prove the point that they’re amazing and well deserved enough that being titled as a winner is not needed. ♥️
People forget that the “fly” runway outfit took place on the episode where the remaining queens had to interview Cher’s mother and Cher’s son, during which Dela impressed the judges with her more natural, personably easy going demeanor, casual sense of humor and warmth, and effortless rapport and genuine connection with Cher’s family. The judges finally saw past Dela’s meticulously constructed drag persona to Ben’s organically delightful personality, and found her far less contrived than in previous episodes. Dela earned a well deserved top placement this episode, losing to Courtney Act, who nailed the runway challenge with her iconic bird themed runway outfit (complete with astonishing expandable/retractable wings), and who also sparked chemistry with Cher’s son.
It’s not fair AT ALL to say she hindered her own career. Dela is doing exactly what she wants. After S6 she went back to Seattle and worked on her craft, because she wanted to. After AS3 she is focusing on projects she is in love with. What more could one ask for? That she gets on the Vegas show where she has no say in what songs she performs or isn’t able to write any of it? To see her on Werq the world? Why? Dela is navigating her career in a way that makes her happy, as is Trixie, who never even mentions she won. They’re both winning.
I loved seeing Ben and Jinkx in their Christmas show last year. Ben is definitely one of my favorite queens.
5:27 Dela actually revealed that it was the editors of the show that changed what she said to Ru, originally Dela said "I can't do an English accent . . . Unless its Maggie Smith"
I tell you what it meant to me: When a system you are a part of is hurting people as part of its operation, you don't have to take the excuse of "that's just the rules," "that's just how it's done," or "that's what everyone is doing." You can find a way to change the game or participate differently. You can make your participation or non-participation a statement on the kind of world you would like to see, where people don't justify cruelty in the name of "good TV," for example. I hold her in high honor just for that, even if she weren't as iconic as she is, even if she hadn't proved how great she is at drag.
Well said!!
Sort of like the soldier who was just following orders, that's not an excuse either ....
I want Ben in a non-elimination RuPaul's best friend race with jinkx. I mean I think the only way Ben would want to come back would be non elimination anyway.
Why did I not remember that she actually was the first in season 6 to win 2 challenges??? It makes sense Darriene thought she'd be making it to the top 3, but it's hilarious that she purposefully played mind games on her haha
Cuz maybe u should watch the original seasons???

Exactly and everyone is still waiting for the videos on Elliott with 2 Ts and Blair St. Clair.
She was so ahead of her time... The perfect drag tv show wouldn't involve any kind of elimination... Just amazing queens working together and learning from each other while showcasing their talents. A real celebration of the art form that is drag, instead of the half-baked, cringey challenges that they usually make the queens go through. I mean, there's a reason why Talent Show episodes are the best ranked.
It’s a competition show, people go home
You're so beyond wrong babes
@@BlakeSenters But why does it need to be a competition... can't there be a space in TV or any streaming service where queens just go there to showcase their talents, while being backed by the amount of production that goes to any other rpdr episode? Even the individualistic paradigm from production and direction often clashes with the reality and the feelings of the contestants, take Drag Race España Season 2's Sharonne for example, she won yes but she revealed that she was most focused on making good televsion and making sure the gigs of the other girls came out perfect, because she valued the show more than her own track recird. The sisterhood between the queens clashes against production and direction very often.
@@aasdfghjka3584because majority of people do not want to watch that lol Drag race became the success it is today due to the completion aspect and the element of drama and shadiness among the queens that’s what is most entertaining for most viewers
@@aasdfghjka3584it doesn't "need" to be a competition, it was Drag Race that was created with the competition format in mind, doesn't mean there can't be any other shows about drag without the competition aspect. but expecting Drag Race to get rid of their entire format is not it
I was at a watch party WITH Dela during that episode and it was the most iconic moment of my life. Being able to hear her explain how she was feeling then and now right after seeing that episode helped a lot with closure
What did you hear from her? What were her thoughts while at her watch party for THAT episode?
I'm pretty sure DeLa was out touring with Jinkx in the period between S6 & AS3. She was pretty perplexed when people thought she'd gone away as she was working the whole time.
DeLa is a true artist. Her drag has such a strong visual language, and I love how she uses her drag character as this bright, bubbly figure in a world that is far from it. I’ve seen her in the Jinkx and DeLa Christmas Special twice and she has such a magnetic stage presence. She’s my favorite drag artist ever.
(13:42) I think Trixie was crying because she bombed snatch game and worried about her fans reaction AND worried about Shangela voting her off since she had a fight with her during this episode. I don’t think Bebdelacreme factored into this.
DeLa knew DAMNED well that her trajectory on the show was setting her up for the AS3 win. She's not stupid; she's smart, intelligent and stealthy. She knew what she was doing; removing herself from the competition ensured two things: 1/DeLa would be a name on everyone's lips from then and there, and 2/The tone and tenor on "Drag Race" would be completely different from there on out. I can't imagine what would have happened had she chosen to eliminate Kennedy, but she was too kind and thoughtful to hurt someone openly; even her reads on AS3 had everyone laughing; they were verbal dropkicks, and they were HILARIOUS. HOWEVER, she also flagged up the dichotomy between what is "real" and what is "right". I feel she got tired of the pageantry, seeing this as a way to breathe again and move back into the "real world" which has zero basis in "reality TV". She didn't want to participate in something that no longer felt "right" to her, no matter how the producers or Ru attempted to spin the narrative. Did she make the right decision? Much as we all might want to decry her for leaving, one need only look at what she's doing now to know she was destined for greatness REGARDLESS of how far she got on RPDR.
"This is a stepping stone; not an endgame." Truer words have never been spoken.
Ben was my favorite to win in All Stars. She was my favorite in her season, so I wanted her to win.
Ngl, the self-elimination she pulled was probably more iconic than anything she could have done at that point. She had some major guts to do that and I honestly admire her for taking a stand for what she believed in.
I'm glad you made this video. NOBODY ever talks about Ben as the most probable winner or atleast the absolute frontrunner of that AS season. It's always Shangela.
I hate how she got forgotten like that.
No hate to Shangela or Trixie, but Bendela deserves more praise.
So, the reason DeLa's talent show was so good was because she's been doing a longer version of that performance for years. She produces and performs so much off-camera, and I'm kind of sad none of it was covered here.
WE ARE EATING GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!
I have seen Dela 2x (once for ready to be committed, and Jinkx and Dela Holiday Show) I have them art both times and it is just so clear that she was made to be a writer and performer. So so kind.

From one aspiring director to another, you are MAGIC DELA!!!!! Always appreciate the light you’ve brought the world, along with tons of laughs
Bendela and jinkx are my favorite queens ever, I’ve watched every episode many times. Still watching many seasons over and over, because the show has changed so much. The older episodes/ seasons were better then the most recent seasons, in my opinion.
ok but can we talk about DeLa being Jinkx's drag mother? imagine the hype when the cast of season 6 was announced. it was the drag mother of the previous winner
I thought Jinkx's drag mother was Peaches Christ?
Ben is so not Jinkxs drag mother
Trixie would still be the mega star she is, regardless of winning or not.
Honestly I think the win hurt more than helped. A lot of it had more to do with the jury but she still got hate for it.

Ben is one of my favourite ever queens. I saw her Christmas show with Jinx and was quite near the front and had numerous eye contact moments which made me feel so blessed! What a wonderful human being. Who cares that she didn’t win the crown.
I admire her because she has an artistry that grounds her performances. It is some times difficult to critique drag without being homophobic. She can sing and act. She is sometimes better than her material. She can be catty without being crass. Even when her ladylike persona slips….she is always a class act. She is in the pantheon of Raja, Jinx and Bianca. Many queens are good at their gimmick. Still, not in the pantheon I truly enjoy. I don’t want to throw too much shade at any of the others….but loud screeching turns me off. Ben Delacreame is on point. She leaves you wanting more. Glad for this loving critical review.

I loved what she did especially knowing how the voting for the winners were made in the finale. Because despite having had the best track record we can't be sure the other queens would've voted for her. She made the right choice AND she avoided having the fans send hate to whoever wouldn't have voted for her in the final voting.
Bendela did her own exit in her own way! Props to her for her choice! She would've won AS3 for certain if she hadn't chosen this route!
She had her principles and she stuck to them and I think that’s what separates her from the others is that she’s not just a great drag queen but also a conscientious one
DeLa is one of the prime examples of defeating the Milgram test.
what is the Milgram test? :o
@@aexcoven Back in the 60s, a guy named Stanley Milgram ran a psychological experiment on obedience. Test subjects were taken one by one into a room, where they sat down in front of a control panel with a pair of speakers, a row of buttons, and a printed script. Somewhere in another room, there was another person (the "reader") whose job was to read out the same script the test subject had. The test subject had to listen through the speakers, and if the reader made a mistake in the script, the subject had to press one of the buttons to give the reader an electric shock. The buttons were ordered by the strength of the shock, and with each mistake, the subject had to press a higher button. Also in the room was a "supervisor" who made sure the experiment went according to plan.
The catch was that the reader and the supervisor were both actors. The reader would deliberately make mistakes, and there was no actual shock being delivered, but the actor pretended to be in increasing pain, and after the last button, just went completely silent. If the test subjects expressed hesitation or concern, the supervisor would tell them that everything was legal, that they would not be held to any kind of responsibility, and that if they broke off the experiment they wouldn't get paid. Milgram wanted to see how badly people were willing to hurt another person when they were just "following the rules", and as it turned out, a lot of them went all the way to the end.
you’re treating us so good! two vids so close to each other
The way I have always thought Ben was joking when they said they Hot glued that dress together. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I get Bianca's lane, but I'd like to think that in an alternate reality, one of the nicest queens wins against the most hateful of all seasons lol And it's funny that people think she wasn't doing well professionally before AS3. She just was doing her own thing. Not everyone wants to go to the Met Gala or be on Vogue, and that doesn't diminish her success.
Thank you for uploading this on a holiday were some of us dont have a supportive family to spend time with 🥰 you make your own family or whatever Rupaul says
It's crazy how it was only 1 more episode before the finale and Ben would have probably won again. 6 out of 7 wins.
We are being fed honey! Thank you for the back to back vids!!
Here's my thing about AS3....
Trixie won the crown and cash. She build her brand from the ground up. And she has all of the zeros in her bank. What's the thing you remember about AS3 when it is brought up? For me, it will always be Dela eliminating herself. And that's a conversation that is still talked about to this day. Dela isn't one of those queens who doesn't need a crown and title to succeed in life. She's good. All hail Bendelachrist. Savor of Morgan and the drag queens.
I've always loved her since the first episode aired. Despite the sixth season having incredible queens, she was definitely in my top 3. I was very furious with her elimination for Darienne Lake. When I found out she would return for All Stars I was super excited, very happy with the evolution and the trajectory she was showing. In the end, I was left with a bittersweet feeling but I totally understood the statement she wanted to pass. She will always be in my heart and I am so happy when I see something on social media about her projects with Jinx. They deserve all the success always :)
I think that production told Ru to pick Dela as the winner but didn't tell her why they wanted her to be the winner, so they could get a genuine reaction. I also really was kind of shocked at how rude Adam Lambert seemed to Trixie, I found that really weird (at least based off the edit for as much as that can be trusted).

This and Naomi in AS4 broke All Stars all these years ago, still don't know why they kept that format after
Bendalacreme doesn't need DragRace, she's already won in the ways of integrity & honor & that carries a higher level of respect & prestige than any materialistic entity could ever bestow.
DragRace should take the humble wisdom Bendalacreme displayed & shift its goals into showcasing folks who want to win, but also don't want to sell (under sell) their souls & integrity for others to profit from. $100K is a drop in the bucket for what DR creates in profit.
Bendalacreme is exactly the sort of entertainer that we should all support wholeheartedly. Her productions (I've seen several) are top notch & she is beyond talented & a commanding force on stage. She's wonderful & thrilling to behold live & I can't recommend seeing her enough. The fact that she's also a decent & kind human being who refused to become something she wasn't comfortable with becoming, in the face of the fear of possibly making a career ending decision (some would postulate) she stood firm in knowing who she is & what she could do. That makes her a real hero to me & someone who I inspire to live up to. Bendalacreme is The Queen of Queens!👑
I live for patron Kamen Rider Furry. I watch all of your videos and their @ never fails to make me laugh at the end of every single one.
Honestly, I’m glad she did what she did. She seems really happy doing what she’s doing with Jinx and is successful in her own right, and I suspect a way she finds more fufilling than winning would have. She’s making things out of desire to make, not a winners obligation to preform to a certain standard. Go watch what’s available of her and Jinx’ Christmas show if you can it’s WONDERFUL

Out Of Respect For DeLa... 💜✨💜
Dela is one of my favorite queens. I cry every time I watch her elimination on S6, she was robbed. I totally respect her decision on AS3 and thoroughly enjoyed watching her kick ass. Respectfully, I don’t understand why you’re making it sound like she hasn’t had much success. She has done very well in her career post RPDR. She started her own production company, writing and producing her own shows on her terms not Voss or World of Wonder.
Oh hell yes. My fave queen since season 6. She is as talented as she is kind.
Dela is one of the “I forget they’re not winners or direct runners up” group. Manila is also in that LOL
I hate the format of queens eliminating queens. You're causing bad blood between queens when RuPaul herself would say they are a community and/or family. Or how about colleagues who can help each other with gigs. Dela is one of my fav for protesting against it.
It would be quite amusing if there were a libation flavoured with citrus. Can you imagine such a thing!
As soon as the cast was announced I fully expected Dela to destroy the competition tbh, and I was not disappointed ❤️
BenDeLaCreme is an All Star with or without the win, at least to me❤️
As someone from a more collective cultural background, I was shocked to see an United Statian doing what Ben did, since all I see from her country is a culture of individual winners and losers. It was nice and familiar to me to see someone think about others first, even in a competition setting. It was very honorable of her to admit her limits to that plain mean tomfoolery.
Drag Race is not the end all be all of drag. I love that queens like Ben go on and find success apart from Rupaul's Dragrace. I seriously doubt he is sitting by the phone waiting for the producers to call .
I love it when you make longer videos.
these videos are so silly but still very researched and have a lot of info like wow best of both worlds
I think DeLa really understands the scale of career that she wants to have, and doesn't work herself to death to try to grow ever bigger in every way, which is something I think could be emulated by more people who are trying to go beyond what is helpful and pays enough for themselves. Being able to say, "I'm happy with this and I'll keep doing it and making it better," is a great way to be an artist, I think.
Dela will always be a winner for us 👑
I mean, she already stated that if they do an all stars as pairs competing against pairs, she would go back IF Jinx could be there with her too, and then my friends, no one would survive in that all stars, too much power Jinx+Dela.

The other girls were lucky she sent herself home. She was literally walking away with the competition. I’m glad Trixie has that win under her belt, but WHEWWW Dela was taking it if she had stayed.
So happy you’re back, I missed your videos 💕
I would love to see Ben come back in a non elimination based format with other miss congeniality’s such as with Latrice Royale those two alone would make for good TV and maybe Valentina
i think after seeing jinkx back, and there being non eliminations supposedly coming back to all stars, i'd love to see her back, and i think the chance may be slightly higher than we may think. it'd have to be a really special all stars season though, like a "legends" or anniversary all stars. Dela is my 2nd favourite queen ever and it'd be really funny to just watch her dominate once again, cause to me she already honorarily has her own crown.
Soon enough, we'll have enough queens who left their season to make a full cast for some sort of All Stars season ahah. So who knows, maybe we'll see her again!
Two uploads in a week? Oh we are being fed! ❤
