For 16 year old you, seeing a plethora of queer people living out loud, refusing to cower to threats, and banding together was important for you to see what your life could look like.

I had no idea who they were but came to love their dynamic so much! Bob and Monet are the ones who got me interested in the show which is funny cause it's usually the other way around for fans of Drag Race.
I think he left out, when saying Cynthia fontaine was supposed to perform, that not only did her friend show up and stay but he also died :( . Cynthia lost a few friends at the night club that night.

There’s another explanation for season 8 to have so few episodes, I read this somewhere can’t remember where. Season 7 had very low ratings and because of that RPDR was almost cancelled after season 7. So apparently Logo only ordered 10 episodes for season 8 because they were not sure how the show would do. That was the last season airing on Logo, after that went to VH1 who ordered normal number of episodes again.
I met Bob at Therapy in NYC just before she was officially announced as apart of the cast of Ru Paul’s Drag race. She was amazing , it’s so funny I ran into her again just last year at the Eagle in Atlanta. Her career growth is crazy ….

Bob once brought me onto stage at a show years back and was so lovely. I’ve met her twice and, such a joy each time. Bobs really worked their way up and I’m so happy to them reach new heights in their career. Every bit of her success is earned and deserved
Bob is my favourite winner and one of my favourite drag queens, she's so unique, funny and nowadays so stunning. Also season 8 holds an special place in my heart because I had no expectations and it's one of my favourites

One of the notable things Alaska said during the tantrum is how absurd it is for her (Alaska) to shade Sasha Velour because she's a winner getting made fun of by someone who didn't win their initial season.
