It's a fantastic handgun 😃. My husband and I, are going to purchase another one this week. It's a great defense weapon, the trigger on the handgun we purchased is very smooth. Excellent craftsmanship by Beretta. Thanks for sharing your voice.😁
I’ve been a big fan of the APX since it was released. Very much looking forward to this one. Hopefully I will see one locally in the near future. Thank you for the video.
It's a fantastic handgun from Beretta. My husband and I now own two of them 😁 We may buy another one due to the current events. It's a classy gun, looks good in our Caballo 😊👌
Very very good video. Great job. I got one today. Kind of sharp points on the mag bottom and the front of the rail. Don’t like. Very nice grip. Firm grip. Keep up the good work. Thanks a lot friend. SC Navy vet.
Great review man. I agree with the disassembly process. I know what Beretta was going for because it's similar to the 92 series, but I wish that it was as easy to push and pull the lever down as the 92 series. You do have to disengage the striker as an extra step, but the strength/pressure needed to push the lever should be lighter just like the 92
I agree about the trigger, it was kinda crunchy springy sproingy. After a clean, oil, dry fire 200 rounds, fired 400 and its getting smoother. My cz p10 trigger was still better out of the box than the APX A1 is after all that work.
I like a u-notch rear sight or a straight bar like a Sig P226, but I do not like a 3-dot setup! That's one of the easiest take down's I've ever seen, can't believe you actually complained about it!
I purchased the APX-A1 brought it home and gave it a through cleaning. Went to take off the optic cover plate and one of the screws snapped off even after letting the plate and screw soak in Kroil for 8 days. Called Beretta and sent it back, that was 5 weeks ago! Still no pistol and no updates!
Pushing the takedown button is a lot easier if you pull the slide back a hair the same way you do with a Glock. I pull it back with my left hand and manipulate the button and lever with my right hand. Easier than a Glock in my opinion.
I might give this one a try. The previous one I owned had a weird bump just below the trigger in the trigger well that I rubbed against when shooting. It drove me crazy.
15 round version is for States with a 15 round magazine limit like Colorado. I'm hoping Beretta will make a Centurion version of this and offer it with 15 round mags.
Good review. Thank you. The best DASA I have owned was a 92 a1. Extremely slick. If you mentioned it I missed it. What type of finish does this have? Melonite/Armornite type I assume. 2 of my children are looking at these. One is going to be an edc so the compact model. It will be absolutely every day and everywhere. I have seen the Ruger LC9 issues because they cut corners on the finish to keep cost down. We don't want that. Thank you.
The ONLY problem I have with this pistol is the finish. Mines and many others , have started peeling after regular use. I use this as my carry and the holster eats at the finish. Just something to be aware of.
Not if you can't find one for sale. Checking for months and when requested info from beretta usa about availability and had only one site and that was for the $499 version.
I like the serrations a lot better for function, not looks! Fingerprints are for grip and the lines aren't wide for that reason...thank You, our Creator! I just wish grip texture was extended to where thumbs grip.
The compact barely came out…. Beretta customer service says expect at least a year before the compact frame and slide with No fire control ( if you own the A1 fs you already have it.) The A1 represent tremendous value…. I’d by the actual A1 compact gun on it’s own for the right price?
Might sound stupid but I didnt buy one of the original APX because of the slide serrations. I ended up buying a used Gen 3 Glock 19 for the same price.
I am looking for a holster for the Beretta APX A1, Full size. Preferably IWB holster and if possible one that will accommodate a weapon light. Right now I have the streetlight, TLR-1 HL. Thanks in advance.
Neptune concealment is a great holster company. They made a holster for an FNX 40 with laser which was impossible to find with any other holster maker. I hope you find one that works brother!
You can hear a muddy River tactical for the original APX for this to work, or a Concealment Express for the original APX ( just use a hair dryer for the Kydex) Currently, The Armzmen holster company is making one for the A1 and it’s quality seems really good.
@@aperson4057 does the Armzmen take a light? I'm not even picky about which one, I'll get a new light if I have to I just need a holster for this thing.
@@GarbageDeplorableBitterClinger mine was not light specific. But they do an APX version with an olight. Tbh, with a light, I’d just a TLR-1 and get the Phlster floodlight which will most likely fit the APX
The trend is to make the slide thinner. I don't know why Beretta and Walther is making thicker slides? APXA1 and the PDP Looks way thicker than the G17. And people used to call Glock a Block.
I like this gun but I think you're giving it too much credit on the specs. For a full size pistol the APX A1 is thicker and heavier than most of the competition, and the barrel is unusually short. As a Beretta lover, I would have a hard time buying this when a 92X is only $100 more.
Had to buy optics for my 43x and for my p320 rx carry that gun is like super expensive too. Beretta is selling apx for $400-479 right now at different places and it's the same pric or as cheaper than 43x for me with the blue label discount..so it's way better deal
@@MrMarkmill True, but other manufacturers (IWI, AREX, maybe S&W) include the plates in the box. Walther & H&K give you a voucher. So when "optics ready" is a major selling point, it would be nice to have the plates included. I wish Beretta & CZ would follow suit.

“Priced reasonably given what it is…” you ought to unpack that statement. Begs the question: what is it? It’s a plastic striker-fired gun in a league with at least twenty five others of the same ilk. Nothing here says run out and buy one, particularly since my benchmark for a gun like this is a Sig P229 Legion with a short reset trigger, a little more expensive, but not by much.
Please tell me where I can get a Sig P229 Legion that's just a little more expensive than the APX A1. Father's Day is coming up soon and I want to get my dad something nice, but the P229 Legion is at least $1300 at most places I'm looking at 😭
I see these APX A1 Full Size for sub $470. I personally would love a Sig 229 Legion for anywhere near that price. You could buy 2 of these Berettas and still come in under the price of that 229 Legion.
How does one honestly complain about the takedown operation of this? I feel like you’re grasping at straws. it’s basically no different than any M9/92/96. I guess sorry it’s not copy and paste Glock lol
Beretta has an issue in their R&D department. Somebody is making bad decisions and the rest of the monkeys just nod their heads in unison (group think). The APX A1 my be their best....after a dismal failure with the APX 0.

I could be wrong, but I think there is a state that limits magazine capacity to 15 rounds instead of 10. So, that would explain the 15 round magazine.
Nice review. Very good shooting.
Thank you.
I own this firearm it’s amazing I love the new look and it’s a very flat shooter kinda favors the Walther Pdp
