You are the only one who mentioned that the slide has to be back just a little in order to disengage the striker with the button. I was going crazy trying to push the button in. Also, that slide release button is tough. I hope it breaks in with use. Thanks for the great video.
thanks, if you look at the beretta apx and apx a1 full size manual online you see there that that is shown like that. if you dont move the slide backwards an bit the spring power inside is to hard and you cant disconect the sear from the striker...
Excellent instructions. I watched your video and had it apart in probably 20 seconds. Not sure why people online are saying this is a stupid way to take apart a pistol by Beretta. It was extremely easy and safe to do given that you can bypass pulling the trigger to disassemble. Now off to the range to try it out!
Great video, thanks! You're right, the instructions in the manual are not very good and I was really struggling to take the APX apart. But you did a very good job of explaining how to do this, and now I am surprised by how easy it is to disassemble this pistol. Much appreciated.
Thank you for this great video... I struggled with getting the lever far enough out. I really had to push hard on it. Your explanation clarified the procedure. Now I can field strip the gun very easily....
do you have a video on whether a person should oil an AR or leave them dry? I hear both sides. Some people oil the bcg and some don't also some oil the trigger group and some don't.
@swissbianco turns out it was just really stuck. I finally got it after much trying. Did it a second time and was still very stiff but on the third time it started to loosen a bit. Thanks for the video and response!
Sportman's Warehouse has the full size with the Burris red dot for $449.99 and a $50 rebate. I got the last one at my store. The computer didn't ring up the sale price. They had to check it in their computer and then enter it manually.
check the video, press in first while then hold it press in and turn the lever at the same time. check with a gunstore in your area, unloaded gun, im sure they help you!

Took mine to range for first time today and since then getting that takedown lever to go is much easier. I only shot 200 rounds through it.

@@swissbianco I mean, make a video with the cleaning equipment...what would you use to do it...I'm new to weapons, and I have the APX A1. Thanks!
@@K9ChrisTV I think he thinks you meant CLEARING it. I'll bet you found another youtuber's cleaning video, right?

mechanical items should always be oiled or greased to reduce friction.
@@swissbianco thank you
I need help. My teardown lever isn't moving. Any ideas? It's my first handgun.

Thanks.
I can’t imagine being a gun owner and being afraid to pull the trigger in order to disassemble you gun.🙄
millions out there, some are by the police and military, as always, safety first!
Always good to have options. There's absolutely a market for it. Same as thumb safeties, just a matter of preference.
Physically unable to get that lever to go down, tried for hours....

You have to get a good grip when you push the button, once you get the button pushed all the way in the lever will turn
The button requires quite a bit of effort to fully pressed in. I have to use both thumbs on top of each other to get enough power.
@@dinh71 yes, the two thumb trick works. I never thought of that. I had to use the edge of table trick previously. Thank you.
