Let’s make it quick, The APX was tested for 30k rounds with zero breakages and malfunctions for the military and it passed. Trust me Beretta has been doing this for 500 Years! They do it pretty much Perfect!!💪🏼❤️🙌🏼🇮🇹👍🏼🇺🇸
Regarding your lack of a third hand, you don't actually need a third hand. The spring only needs to be held out of the groove, not held necessarily held up. So lift the spring out of the groove, and slide the spring to the right a little bit to rest on the shank of the pin. The pin is no longer being held captive by the spring, and you can then just push the pin out.
Great video and a gorgeous pistol. Not just the finish, which looks fantastic, but the machining and internals. Just a flipping beautiful gun. If it's functionality is even half as high a standard as the craftsmanship, it should be enjoyable. Sorry folks, this is why you buy the Berettas, HKs, Sigs, and Steyrs of the world. Beretta isn't a copyist of others' work and innovation. Even in this CNC age, there is obvious pride in build. Time to go gun shopping😁
The new full size tac version is also very nice and affordable based on what is offered and quality...way underrated imo. The trigger set up could use a little polish to smooth out the slight grit, but it is not bad...shoots very good.
My dad gave me his apx compact and I was blown away by how nice a shooter it is. Accurate with a very mild recoil impulse. Shoots more like a full size for me. I'd love to see the frame removal 😊
Thank you for sharing your videos. This pistol is absolutely amazing. My husband and I have the full size as well as the compact version. We've had absolutely no negative issues. Many people comment on the trigger being gritty. I, personally don't find any negative issues with the trigger. It's n extremely well engineered and manufactured pistol. I have seen most of the reviews on this gun but this is the best tabletop review. That gun is top heavy but shoot flat , so instead of getting Glock clones i purchased the first Apx full size and i find the weird slide serrations nice looking.
Underrated pew pew.! I’m so glad is starting to get the reviews and love it deserves.! I love mine and can’t beat beretta with the quality and pricing.
I think that this is one of the nicest modular platforms available. I liked the first gen and look forward to seeing what updates have been done to it.
I can't believe I haven't found this channel before. Reviews that get up close like this are what really matter and let me know if something is worth getting my hands on in the first place.

It is beautiful in all respects except for that square profile slide---THAT'S gonna print under a shirt! Thank you for bringing this one to our attention!...................................elsullo
Got the full size and compact. 2 of the best shooting I own. And I have all the major brands outside of Springfield. (Glock, CZ, and S&W) Winter I carry full-size. Spring and summer the compact.
The APX is solid value for $. I sold my original due to the XL backstrap was still too small, and my trigger was stiffer than a G19.5. But the guns are tanks and its a solid platform.
Put a little bit of extra oil on key contact points in the trigger and striker safety and more dry-firing and you will notice an improvement in it. Looking forward to your range test.
Like the gun. Had some issues with the magazine followers getting deep scratches, and when that would happen, the slide wouldn’t stay open on the last round. Sent it in and Beretta sent me a new gun with new mags. Very happy about that. At this point there aren’t any or many holster options for this particular model. My last concern was that you can buy the tactical model for within $100 more but buying a new threaded barrel was almost $300 more. You could almost get the gun for that amount. All in all, I like this pistol a lot and what a great bargain for under $400 after rebate.
Checkout the APX A1 Tactical version. Reminds me of the Green VP9 Tactical. To pull out the take down lever you simply twist the lever to the original run position, and it comes right out.
I waited a long time for the A1 compact (previously Centurion ) Carried the original toblerone but retired it once my optics migration was complete and irreversible. Doing away with that striker indicator pop up thingamajig made an optics cut possible and as a bonus I can still use the compact and centurion frames from the gen1 It’s the perfect subcompact/3.5” barrel carry IMHO. Beretta R&D knocked it outta the park. Maybe some day The piasans in the Marketing Dept will let the marketplace know that it even exists.
Graham, because of your review I got a killer deal from Bereli over Fathers Day. On Sale $299.99, but Beretta has a $100 Rebate running thru August. I got his awesome firearm for $199.99. THANKS !! Dwight
More and more manufacturers are switching to offering only PDF copies of their manuals. My buddy noticed it with recent sales from his shop. People were calling him after they picked up their firearms and asking where the manual went.
Beretta rebranding the Centurion as the Compact and just not making a new compact is extremely disappointing. I suspect it may become hard for me to find 13 round mags before long. Edit: I'd like to see them bring back the manual safety grip modules, specifically one for the centurion/compact slide.
Looks well made, well finished and overall a well executed pistol. Looks to be slightly small than a Glock 19 but begger than a glock 26. The take down is a litttle odd but not overwhelming. The trigger looks like a rolling type break. Keep us posted on the 3rd hand. I could use at least 1 more.
For takedown just release striker tension (either way) push the button opposite the take down lever and push the take down lever. Takes me less than a second to do. No need to pull the slide back at all like Glocks. One of my APX had a very stiff button but it loosened up after a few hundred rounds. Poe Performance has a quick demonstration of how to field strip the APX that also illustrates how most other Gun-tubers always get it wrong. For chassis removal; If you rotate the take down lever even slightly before trying to remove it would have come right out with a wiggle or two. Use a dental pick or even a sharpened chop stick to lift the spring out of the channel in the rear pin. Pull it up and out of the groove and rest the tool on a frame rail freeing up a hand to push the pin out. One doesn't need three hands. Chassis removal from there is easy peasy. With the chassis out, remove the factory packing oil / grease and grit (simple green works well) from the fire control unit and re-lube at points covered in the manual - it cleans up the trigger pull action a bit.
Twist and easy pull, will get the take down pin out. I have changed my lower frames to different color i.e Green. FDE. And at about $50 per frame it is easy. And unlike Glock, where my 1992, 2nd Gen. is beat up and battered, my Apx's are easily and cheaply upgraded to look new. Now with a Beretta review perhaps you wil forgive Ruger? Or is that asking too much? Love your work.
Haha, no Ruger needs to apologize and change their ways first. With Beretta we were simply too busy with other offerings. There are enough options out there that I've gone two videos per week for 8 years and still not touched multiple brands.
She hates that target because she's competitive, but it serves it's purpose of testing sights and trigger control regardless of how we might do against the target.
Got new my Beretta APX A1 Compact two weeks ago, it is very hard to handle and very stiff, the slide and all the buttons on the pistol are hard to operate or to move. Rounds are hard to load manually in the magazine, even when using the speed loader that comes in the box. The gun's salesman from Bass Pro Shop noticed that issues and he recommended to replace the loader with the UpLULA universal loader. At least I got the UpLULA loaded and is a lot easier to load the magazine, but the gun is still very hard to handle. I read from other owners that you have to shoot at least 300 rounds in order to make the gun softer. It think that the RECOIL SPRING ASSEMBLY is not soft enough and is causing those handling issues, it is that possible ?
I certainly don't speak for everyone, but I'd love to hear about your past at some point. I didn't know you spoke several languages, and I have no idea what a crypto linguist is. Thanks for the overview, GB!
At the risk of being redundant, having not read all of the comments, most reviews show that the takedown lever should be rotated to the 3:00 position to remove it from the frame, after pressing the takedown lever's far end to the left.

Both company's have a great track record; Beretta's may be a tad bit longer lol.
I went ahead and A JUMPED ON THE Walther PDP Compact as I found it on sale and it freaking came with an Ameriglo Haven 3.5 red dot which is Ameriglo's first red dot as they made Iron sights for years until this new red dot they just released.. And also came with a Hornady pistol safe.. The red dot sells on optics planet right now for $280 and MSRP is like $325 on their site, and the Hornady pistol safe sells for around $125 and the pistol all for $490+ a $30 out of state sales tax b.s., but still a crazy deal I could not pass up at $520 out the door with the accessories that cost freaking around $405+ ALONE, so I paid basically "$115" for the "Walther PDP" it self counting the $400+ in accessories that come with it..🤯 I bought it at Sportsman's outdoor Superstore for those that might be interested in such a freaking great deal, they only had 2 choices one with a dark gray slide and another with an FDE slide, well I got one of the last gray slide ones and they are sold out, but they still have some with the FDE slide.. I noticed on the picture they showed that it was a 2021 model which has a Gen 1 RMR slide cut, which they upgraded to a gen 2 Optic cut design in 2022 which is the same as the 2024 model, So I figured that was one reason they were able to get the guns so cheap to be able to sell them for an unreal price, as I read a customer review saying that they got the gen 1 Optic cut PDP and was slightly bummed as he was saying the gen 1 plate is hard to find, which I guess he did not understand that when you buy the gun you just go on Walthers web site and put in your serial number of your gun and the type of RMR plate you want and they send it to you for free!, but to my knowledge there were no issues with the gen 1 RMR cut anyways, so no big deal to me at such a deal.. To my pleasant surprise though ,when I got my gun yesterday it ended up being the one built in 2022 which is the upgraded gen 2 optic cut after all!!! 😊 The only complaint I have about the PDP is it is slightly wider than, say a Glock 19, instead of 1.1in. it is 1.3in. which really is not much, but it looks wide due to the very pronounced slide cuts as .2 of an inch is nothing really and it is light at about the same weight as a Glock.. As I said you can't beat the deal of $490 with the red dot and pistol safe included , Hell you can't even get a PDP by itself for $490, much less with the accessories that total around $400 by themselves.. My first real pistol was the Original Walther P99 I bought right after seeing it in the James Bond movie and loved it, So getting the PDP which is just a modern P99 evolution was a no brainer.. For those that don't know the Canik pistol is just a knock off of the old Walther P99..😂
Here is a video I watched when I changed my frame on my original APX. I'm fairly certain the newer models use the same method: ruclips.net/video/T5a6Hs02LiQ/видео.html
A warning not to dry fire this gun in manual warning against it damaging the firing pin . The decocker pin in the frame is it supposed to be used always. I own the full size.
Regarding Beretta’s hundred dollar rebate on this gun. I sent my rebate form in on November 26. They just informed me I can expect it mid to late March. The website says wait up to 10 weeks I’ll be at 20 weeks if I get it then. Their rebate program is a joke. I’ll stick with Walther and Springfield and never buy another Beretta.
Say no to polymer and dingus ...... unless it's a Sig P2022 Although the nearly full length slide rails on this APX A1 is admirable but not as good as metal Sigs. Good review ✌️👍 ps, don't forget to keep your thumbs off of the slide lock so you get slide open on last round⚠️🤣

The only complaint I have about the PDP is it is slightly wider than, say a Glock 19, instead of 1.1in. it is 1.3in. which really is not much, but it looks wide due to the very pronounced slide cuts as .2 of an inch is nothing really and it is light at about the same weight as a Glock..
I'm fairly new to the channel. Have you done a review on the kimber mako r7?.
Welcome and yes. The full review can be found at GBGunsDepot.com
You need to rotate the take down level to remove the take down level.
9:50 Thank you. It's not hard at all
Nice vide🔫🔥👍
Just to confirm a point. You have to download the manual?
Yes. There is a paper with a QR code in the box. It'll take you to PDF of manual.
Great review… all the Best. Now I gotta get one…
Graham are there any compatible Mags other than Beretta APX A1 Compact?
Not that I know of, but I also haven't dug through my mountain of magazines to test either.
More reviews on the way….. foreshadowing
Here is a video I watched when I changed my frame on my original APX. I'm fairly certain the newer models use the same method: ruclips.net/video/T5a6Hs02LiQ/видео.html
The trigger gets better with time.
You don't have to disable the striker to take it down
La mejor Pistola del Mundo !!!
You are the guy that says his country is the best without traveling the world
A warning not to dry fire this gun in manual warning against it damaging the firing pin . The decocker pin in the frame is it supposed to be used always. I own the full size.
Thanks GB. Great job. Good info. God bless.
LETS GO BRANDON
Good vid. Would like to see the safety check happen as soon as the case was opened.
Berretta Apx is a nice weapon for a striker fired pistol my old cheetah 84 .380 looks bigger than this pistol
Che dire...un po' Walther...un po' Springfield...un po' Glock...un po' Smith and Wesson...un po' Beretta.
😊😊👍🏼👍🏼
Regarding Beretta’s hundred dollar rebate on this gun. I sent my rebate form in on November 26. They just informed me I can expect it mid to late March. The website says wait up to 10 weeks I’ll be at 20 weeks if I get it then. Their rebate program is a joke. I’ll stick with Walther and Springfield and never buy another Beretta.
It took 8 weeks to get the rebate for a PX4 storm , I had to resubmit for the APX A1 2 times , still waiting
@@cl71698, I finally got mine in the mail today. 95 days, or 13 1/2 weeks. I’ll never buy another Beretta….
It's easy to require the frame but not the top slide assembly , come on Beretta?
Keep rotating the lever so it can come out.
Man, I have a gen1 apx and its so Chonky compared to this.
$320 out the door is a no brainer.
It looks thick but I guess that's the camera.
I like a 5” barrel and a 12-15 round magazine. Being 6’ tall concealing 5” is not difficult.
Concealing a full size magazine/ grip can be difficult.
Like the gun, but the texture is too aggressive for me....
Looks like a Walther PDP. 😅
Say no to polymer and dingus ...... unless it's a Sig P2022
Although the nearly full length slide rails on this APX A1 is admirable but not as good as metal Sigs.
Good review ✌️👍
ps, don't forget to keep your thumbs off of the slide lock so you get slide open on last round⚠️🤣
It takes 15 minutes to pull the trigger
Wow. It looks like a HiPoint Yeet Cannon.
Speaking from personal experience the Beretta APC A1 CARRY is trash the ammo stuck and jammed the trigger is also terrible
You should have gotten the Walther PDP.😅
7:28 that's the reason some people don't like you ,passive aggressive.
You're mad at your girlfriend because she leaves the cap off the toothpaste, so you start drinking out of the milk container, which you know she hates, because you're mad about the toothpaste issue. That's passive aggressive.
@@asdf89sdf that's all you can say about it ?
We have a dedicated video on how to clear handgun malfunctions, so I've already covered it.
I think you chose the wrong word ..
@GBGuns its your arrogant way of says things , very superior
not putting a manual with a firearm is one of the dumbest things ive ever seen, in conjunction with printing read manual first on the firearm, considering even a bluetooth speaker includes a manual
