They haven't posted photos of the shooter, so we pretty much know who it was and who it wasn't.
I've travelled to the States from NZ for many holidays and have always found Americans to be kind, open and friendly. I broke down in my rental in the middle of nowhere and within 5 mins a pick-up had pulled over to see if I needed any help. Honestly it's one of my favourite countries to visit. Then you see this on the news and it's such a disconnect.

I’m a midwestern gal. This isn’t how we treat each other. Police say it’s “gang related.” Vice and other gang police need to start clearing the bad neighborhoods. KC is NOT a hotbed of gang activity. This was senseless and down right unAmerican. Education is key to stopping the violence before it begins. Blast the no gun tolerance laws on TV and social media before big events don’t hold huge events of this magnitude. Put up barriers and make everyone go through a check point.

I was at an event about 20 years ago and I notice all the people with shoe gear that they could not run in. I began to tell all my family member especially the women not to wear flip flops and such when in public; never know when you are going to have run.
Sneakers, boots or lace ups. Flip flops are the worst thing to wear in crowded places. They don't protect your toes & you can't run in them. Good advice, though! No heels!!

I'm supposed to go see Willie Nelson and family on Sunday. But I'm having second thoughts at least when I go to Sea World for a concert, Everyone is completely shaken down and scanned. So, you know you're pretty safe. And it sucks that they even have to do that now.
I was there on the East Side of the stage & there were 6 shots fired within 45 feet of where I was standing for roughly 4 hours. Shortly after the event was over, maybe 5 to 10 minuets that's when all the gunfire started. My opinion is that COWARDS whom shoot innocent people at ANY event like this are simply "COWARDS"! I feel sad that someone has lost their Life due to some PUNK COWARD whom has ZERO RESPECT for others & their being! To those whom perpetrated this, YOU WILL NOT EVER.......Take away our dignity & nor will you EVER get away with robbing us whom have morals & have our freedoms removed due to your sheer ignorance! I PRAY for all those effected from this in hopes they recover & for the Chiefs Kingdom, STAND STRONG & Pray with me for our fellow family!!!!

Shame on adults not willing to be adults about guns. Stricter gun control is a necessity because there are those that must be stopped from getting guns. Also no good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy with a gun in a gun nut state. (Not counting police into that situation as they should have guns).
Part of the problem is the media has diluted the term of mass shooting away from the actual meaning of mass shooting.
We were at the parade and for the most part, people had no idea something had happened. We only noticed when the snipers got on their rifles and scanned the crowed and helicopters came in close. People played with their kids and slowly went to their cars unaware anything happened. Police did a great job not inducing panic and eliminating the threat quickly

I've travelled to the States from NZ for many holidays and have always found Americans to be kind, open and friendly. I broke down in my rental in the middle of nowhere and within 5 mins a pick-up had pulled over to see if I needed any help. Honestly it's one of my favourite countries to visit. Then you see this on the news and it's such a disconnect.
I was starting to get worried America.

My mum always told me to beware with large popular events such as this parade. I went to the parade with my mom, her bff and her son. Once we were in the car her son was sleeping and all we heard above us were guns, screaming, and fire trucks (honking etc-) crazy. I can’t believe I live in such a clueless and brainless country.
