It didn't look thin when I pulled the dipstick, iv asked the workshop to do full inspection so I should know soon enough, But I just drove it back to the unit and it drives fine
@@drivewaylife thats a problem that audi accepted its from factory. All 1.8-2.0t before 2012 (225hp facelift) has that problem. Problem: oil scraper ring is too low and the bore is too small, the bores become clogged with carbon deposits. As soon as the drainage hole in the oil scraper ring begins to clog, more and more engine oil is transported past the scraper ring into the combustion chamber and is also burned here.
Im surprised you were able to buy that through carwow. They were not interested in my B7 A4 as it was too old. Check the pickup pipe in the sump, if its blocked, thats why its gone bang. It shouldnt cost too much for a replacement engine and you can just upgrade it whilst the engine is out of the car. Probably save you money in the long run and you will have an even better car with a better possibly built engine.
@@drivewaylife I hope its something simple, but from what I know of the 2.0TFSI, mine has a balance shaft that can seize and this stop the oil pump from pumping. I dont know if your engine has the same or similar setup, but I would have the oil pump replaced just for peace of mind. Good luck man, its looks sweet as!
@jamesjakeman1 Ah okay, I understand. I didn't realise it was a trade sale. I bought a jaguar s type last July and the timing belt snapped on the way home. I got the money back for the car but had to take the seller to court to get back the recovery costs. Hopefully the TT will still prove to be a good buy for you
I bought it off the carwow platform, I'm 80% sure the old lady that owned it since 2007 never drove it the way I did when it went bang 🤣, It's my fault I take full responsibility,
Terrible bit off luck that. Sounds she got starved off oil tbh. Good to see u back hopefully your luck improves 😢
My thoughts exactly on oil pump, but doesn't explain the oil loss,
over filling with oil can cause all those problems as when overfilled the oil can turn into foam/bubbles and not lubricate properly.
Hopefully no major damage
Has the oil gone thin and smell of fuel?

Keep the alloys and get them diamond cut . Will look amazing
Keep it fully original
Sounds like a Rods gone through the block
But now it cooled down its running fine. No leakes, and oil is overfilled
Very Unlucky bro, did you check the oil before driving?
Well I checked the paper work that shows a full service in November 🤣🤣🤣, and fully sent it 🙃
Lol 😂
@@drivewaylifehad a 2.0 tfsi a5, was a nightmare. It was burning all of its oil every 3000 km, hybrid oil&petrol
Let's hope I don't end up down the same path

Why didn't you take it back to the seller for a full refund as soon as it broke?

My car, wow it’s fucked
Nothing to do with CarWow
You bought a car from an Auction and the seller was a dodgy liar.
