Interesting choice! A well-off friend of mine had one when they first came out; i always thought it was beautiful, but oh the suspension was stiff! Probably not helped by the fact that my drive in those days was a LWB isuzu trooper 😂
That’s crazy I just bought the same car same year same spec with the same mods but mines an amu which I think is just the American spec motor and it’s a convertible. Truly a great car. Parts and tune are on the way
Nice choice Kenny 👌 I can't keep up with you both 😂😂😂👍great video both 🏴 P.s gotta love a turbo Kenny, i love My twin turbo👍looking forward to seeing what you do to it mate...
Very nice 🤩 thank you for this guys! Btw I just happened to notice The German Car Group Newport have a couple of RS3s for sale - I wonder if they’d let you test drive one for a bit of free advertising 🤔 just a thought (dream)😆
@@accelerateyoutube they’re not a group as such, just car sales. They’ve been trading for years and always have some lovely examples in stock and you can tell they’re passionate about Audi/VW. Definitely worth a mooch on their website, it’s my go to on a rainy day 😂
Yaaaasssss mk1 bam baby miss mine soo damn much been itching to get another one the mod list could be endless, my 2 cents is badger5 oversized turbo intake pipe and some beefy downpipes night and day difference, defo worth large front mount too cos the 2 piddly little things in front of the front wheels are awful haha, well done Kenny my biggest regret was getting rid of mine I can now re live my life through your journey ❤❤
Great car the tt mk 1 ive had mine over 6 yrs its saved me a fortune over that time just by being so good . If your thinking about one . Try and find something with low miles on .
i have one of the nicest 2004 audi tt 225 examples left in the usa. most of them are either falling apart due to lack of service and maintenance or they are in stock typical shape that have been minimally driven and decently taken care of. but you dont see many really good looking mk1 left on the road. mine is garage kept with a lot of oem and aftermarket upgrade parts over the years. between me and the original 2 owners who were friends and rich we have put over 30 grand easily into this car from the show room floor for 40k what they originally bought it for. i would like to have 100hp per cylinder 400 horsepower ish but to reliably do that the motor would need built. i am just stage 1 and trust me 280 horsepoewr in this small car is like having 400hp in a camaro similar quarter mile times for comparison. if i were to build a motor i would like to put either a 2.5t 5 cylinder into it or build a vr6 turbo into it. i need some paint and minor body work its a constant project. just hit 90k miles after 20 years!
I remember seeing this car first in About a Boy and then watching it on Top Gear and it was a goal ever since then to get a convertible TT but then I got older learned more about cars and chose the Z platform instead and now I don't actually like the first gen TT very much, I think other platforms are better with more potential. I wouldn't have ever thought you'd get Gen 1 TT, this took me totally by surprise. But I'm interested to see what you can do with one, I'll definitely be following you on this journey Ken
After owning a mk2 TTRS it made me realize just how good these cars actually are. The aftermarket parts are everywhere too. The equivalent 350z is fat and lazy, not very fast and not tunable (very). Plus build quality is night and day with the Z being very basic and dated. And I have first hand experience of this lol. I'm hoping I can turn this into a great fun all rounder. Thanks Ken
@@accelerateyoutube we owned a 2006, midnight black with the Recaro bucket seats. Wonderful car, great driving position. Looking forward to your content on the 225… 👌🏻
Always happy to help out guys 👍🏻👍🏻😁
Thanks mate.
Ken
Awsome example 👍 I said to Kenny purple and green even red will work with the silver thank u for ieuans mention bois❤
Can’t wait to see what Kenny does with the car. Cinematic’s are incredible, smashed it😎
Definitely suits me better 😉 and your gonna have to start picking them by the boot size rather than the engine size 😂😘
That's why we are keeping the A4 avant ☺
I looked at these for Track, The 225 and the V6. Class bits of kit with so many parts available to them 👌
I liked the fact that parts are everywhere and reasonably cheap ish too.
Thanks
Ken
I'll have a cut and blow dry please Kenny 😜😉 that was a surprise, but what a lovely looking car. I cannot wait to see this journey 😁
Haha on my way matey. Thanks, hoping I can turn this into something fun.
Thanks
Ken

Thanks

I would love to do some track days with you next year as well.
Cheers mate. Was looking at rear wheel drive but with my budget not much fitted.
Thanks

@@accelerateyoutube that's the way Kenny boy gonna be a sick build
I've got a W reg 225 ! brakes need a uprgrading! then clutch, remap intercooler! its what makes it a fun car and being old loads of 2nd hand parts
How about doing Tron lines over it? The car has good lines so show them off a little.

Love the mk1 tt. When I kill the ibiza I'm getting one
Thanks mate, hope you don't kill it too soon though lol.

Dude I can’t imagine you fit in that car 🤣🤣🤣
I have to take a run up ☻
pink blue and white or black
I thought the best spec mk1 is a Quattro sport
You are right. We completely forgot about about the QS when filming this.
Thanks
Ken
Porsch tax is so real
The Sport was the best, chaps… 240bhp
That's right. Perfomance wise was just a slight tweek on the map on the Quattro Sport.
Thanks
