Rob, I always enjoy your quilting videos, but this one is the most fun and you've really made it look doable. Mandalas are some of my favorite art objects. I will enjoy making this quilt! Thank you
Beyond fabulous! Also learned about the quick way to cut circles, which I've never seen before. Many thanks for such an informative and entertaining class.
Rob! Your creative mind is amazing and inspiring. This design knocks the ball out of the park! One of the many things I like about you is that you make projects that make me "think". First I need to come up with a space to work and lay out the pattern plus purchase the cutter. I want to do this in various blues, oranges and yellows or black, grey and red. See you got me thinking.
Love this project. I recently saw a photo of a large flower done with the same method. Rather than circles start with small petals in light the larger petals as the fabric gets darker. So many options! Enjoy your work and love your enthusiasm!
Your Mandala (wall hanging) is beautiful & visually stunning. It has a retro 70s vibe. I found your channel a couple months ago & I've been watching your videos. You are entertaining, personnable, and awesome at presenting & teaching your protects. I've been quilting since 1995. Thanks to your videos I've learned many new techniques to expand my sewiing & quilting skills. 😊 Thanks for taking the time to make your videos.
I totally enjoyed this tutorial. I would have never thought of doing any quilting like this. This turned out absolutely beautiful and it's on my list to complete
I LOVE this idea! I’m doing something similar as a temperature blanket... with the high as the large circle and the low as the smaller circle. Each color matches a key to the temperature range! Love love love your inspiration!
I considered this while rock painting but never translated it into a quilt in my head. Painting the rock and getting it to shine was harder because of the size. Good job!!
Love what you did with the ombré. I used a blue/teal/green/yellow for a quilt for my son as it had some tennis ball yellow at the fold. Great use for the rest of the material!
Rob, I so enjoy your tutorials. I think I will use this technique to make cushion covers. I like how in this video you show us how to use the ombre fabrics.
So.o.o.o.o.o.o. COOL! I love it ! Can't wait to try... I have some of these fabrics and am going to try a smaller version to start! Yikes...can't wait!
Love this-first time seeing the circle cutter in action! Must have it and there is going to be lots of circle quilts everywhere now! Thank you so much!
Love this ! Excellent tutorial on it. May try this at some time in future. I had this tool for YEARS, and really never used. Finally gave it away, and now this ! It figures. LOL
I purchased a cutting machine at the Quilt Festival in Houston last year and this would make a great project to try some of the different shapes with... Maybe the stars!! Thanks for the great idea and the wonderful tutorial..
love this quilt and the way you make it look so simple! I just love the enthusiasm that you have for working with fabrics and design I learn so much from listening to you.
Wow! I don't know how you come up with such innovative and inspirational designs, but I'm definitely hooked. I've been wondering how to use the Ombre fabrics for a while now, and this is a perfect project for them. Watching your quilt come alive as each color was added was so amazing. Would love to see more projects using those fabrics. Awesome project!
Oh I have loads of the V&co ombre left still, after finishing a quilt, so this quilt will be a great other project to use it on. I love it! Thanks heaps
Absolutely wonderful you are an inspiration. You inspired me to start quilting a couple a years ago and I just love it. Think I may give this a try I love it.
Loved the quilt. I'm going to do one with lighter colors or start with a different color family, (I do love yours but I think I love red, orange, and blue/purple more). Xoxo
So enjoying your videos. Trying to figure out when I can fit this one in to my list of quilts to make in 2018 - my list keeps growing because of your videos.🙂
HOW do you IRON this??? heavens! Big job!I've watched until the end now, you explained your quilting so well! Camera shots are excellent too! Love it that its different, (I wonder if you ever read our comments...mmmm) thanks again, fantastic job in every way! Marietta Brisbane Australia
This was very cool. I would use my Accuquilt Go since I have the circle die cutter. I cannot free motion quilt yet so I would have to applique each circle with a blanket stitch or similar. In that case I would be fearful that with all the turning of the fabric under my needle that some of the adhesive would loosen and I would tend to start losing circles! I know this because I've done similar quilts. At any rate, it's a lovely piece.
Are you kidding me... seems like great minds think alike. Here I was thinking I had created something unique that I have not yet seen in the realm of the quilting world and yet here you are half way around the world creating the same design I had done for a friend as a gift almost a year ago. Since then I have created the same concept into almost a wave spiral motion with almost 40% negative space around it. I am no artist but I am still relatively new to quilting. I just make it up as I go along. But you have created such a cool design. 💜 it. 👍👍😻
Mischell Smith Wow.... Thanks for your comment. To tell you the truth I am pretty much a reserved quilter meaning I don't really ever think of my work as being remotely good enough to share. I 'm not quite a confident quilter yet. I basically make quilts for friends and family at the moment. My inspiration for that type of quilting came from Aboriginal art and the fact that I live on the coast line of Australia. So I just combined the two. But your comment has given me something to think about so thank you.
What a fun project. This could be a great family project. I have to buy one of those cutters.
You have so very much of an artistic flare! Amazing job!!!
This would be a terrific scrap buster.
You are an amazing designer and teacher!
Elspeth McLean does beautiful mandala rocks. This is a great quilt. Thanks, Rob. Love your enthusiasm.
I think this is my favourite of your quilts! It’s mesmerising and the colours are gorgeous. I will definitely be trying this

Thank you for sharing. This is a beautiful quilt. Going to give it a try
Didn't think I would like this, but I was wrong, I love it. I would love to use batik fabrics on this
Wow, I’m envisioning in batiks with different shapes. Not just circles. I love it.
It would be really cool with squares turned diagonally, each overlapped just a bit at the corners!

Another incredible design. Thank you Rob. Mixing sizes and placements make this so interesting.
Brilliant, I feel like I have been in a creative black hole, you have inspired me to do something again. I love this quilt, Thank you!
I LOVE this design. Reminds me of peacock feathers. BEAUTIFUL!!! Another great job Rob.
Love this project. I recently saw a photo of a large flower done with the same method. Rather than circles start with small petals in light the larger petals as the fabric gets darker. So many options! Enjoy your work and love your enthusiasm!
Wow, what a wonderful quilt. Thank you Rob for a great idea for a quilt for my granddaughter, she loves coloring Mandala pictures.
I don't typically go for modern designs or art quilts but I have to give this a try. Absolutely stunning. Would buy a kit for this in a heartbeat!

Adoro mandalas!. Efeito maravilhoso dos círculos. Parabéns!!. NAMASTÊ!
Thanks for showing me how to use the circle cutter. I've struggled.
The pins cap actually can be popped on to the tool right above the blade for "storage" when using the circle cutter. So that you don't loss it.
Wow! Love this quilt. Thank You. Great instructions, you covered every aspect of this lovely quilt. I just received my Ombré Dots and this is perfect.
