Just noticed that your goalie coach Ruggiero played in our Finnish tier 3 hockey league in 08-09 season. So Trav, try to make some Mestis (Tier 2 in Finland ice hockey tier) contract ;)
I know he is a position goalie, but if he doesn't work on his reflexes, I don't think he will ever get to the next step. If he rely only on positioning, teams will figure him out so easily. I am always shocked how little reflex drills he does (unless he doesn't film it)

Honestly I know your the back up and they few times I had too do it in minor hockey and it sucked but your attitude and the team chemistry is something special. all you have to do is look at the goalies in the NHL that switched teams last year to know the grass isn't always greener . I once saw a saying that a WW2 vet had on his desk "And this too will pass" which really sums up life's experiences good and bad. I guess what I'm saying is don't be in to much of a rush.

I really hope you're successful in your first start, I'm certain you can do really well on this level, you only need to show what so many of you know you can do. I even remember when his sister Angela played for the Oilers back in the early 2000s that was a huge deal. But it’s been awesome to see you grow and get to know these amazing guys.

People that haven’t actually seen hockey before then think of this hockey as good hockey. You know this is pretty much “beer league” when the guys eat three hot dogs after a game and you get payed $125 or so every week. You make more working just over 6 hours at McDonalds. Think about that.

So a 6 hour shift gets you $57.90 USD gross (@$77.57 CAD). That's not $125 no matter which currency you use. Is it just me, or has your game plateaued? What else can be done to elevate your game? You have worked with countless, very expensive private coaches, personal trainers, maybe a dietitian or 2, and although your game has improved slightly, and yes you are playing pro hockey, I don’t see GM’s blowing up your phone trying to recruit you.

I think it's going to take some athletic work, as well as game sample size to make some mistakes and build from there
