They had 3 games played at the river center as a test to see if Baton Rouge would want it and they said they needed to sell atleast 15,000 tickets for Baton Rouge to get a team. They sold over 20,000 last I heard they were coming up with the branding and it was pretty much a sure thing. If you look at the fed wiki Baton Rouge is labeled as a upcoming location

2:06 seems shady to me; wouldn't a pro team perform some sort of physical exam before signing a new player? If he didn't tell them that he was hurt BEFORE signing with the team, then that's a betrayal of trust that will be nearly impossible to come back from as a player... reputation-killing stuff right there. :/
Players are assets man. I was able to perform at a high level until I couldn't anymore. I did what was needed to get my foot in the door with the team and league.

hey Trav good luck with everything, hate to see what you're going through. We all know our bodies have their limits. In the beginning we might not think about it, realize it or maybe try to ignore it all together but at least we can sit back when it's time with few or no regrets. I've lost a significant percentage of my hearing playing in rock bands since 1989 and still doing it to this day. Not the best decision but I still enjoy doing it. Wishing you a speedy recovery, take care.
I think when the starter got called up and he didn’t start, that hurt his pride a little and he didn’t want to play through the injury, I doubt he’s faking the injury he just doesn’t want to risk further damage for a team that doesn’t believe in him

Good luck Trav! Your surgery will go well and you'll be rehabbing soon enough and back on the ice in a few months. Keep up the can do attitude and you'll get back in form soon enough. I do suggest you pick up a new hobby while you cannot play that keeps your mind sharp, but to each their own.
Don't push yourself too hard. There will be days during your recovery where you'll feel great and want to push the envelope a bit and try something you aren't quite ready for yet. Try not to get caught up in wanting to get back on the ice and just take it easy. Can't wait to see you back in MC next year

On the day you go under the knife, I got back on the ice after 2 months off. Playing with pain is one part of the equation, but when that pain keeps you from doing your job correctly, it's time to get fixed. I was lucky that a groin tear heals reasonably fast (but not fast enough), so I'm wishing you a successful surgery and a quick and productive rehab.

Good luck Trav. Surgery was best thing I did after trying to fight through a meniscus tear for years, similar to what you did here with your hip. It will suck for a while but it will be worth it and you'll wish you did it sooner. I'm also in need of same surgery as you so I'm looking forward to seeing how your process goes.
6 months will go by in a breeze. Take your time recovering, catch up with the lady and keep up the amazing videos and PC’s wishing you a smooth and painless recovery:)

how can i make my pads sit higher on my skates. i use skate laces and tie them pretty loose. i don’t use a boot strap and if i did i wouldn’t be able to use the lundy loop because it’s stock under my foot.

cotasone shots are rough in the knee i have had a few. even worse then those i think are Gelsyn shots
What are Gelsyn shots?

how can i make my pads sit higher on my skates. i use skate laces and tie them pretty loose. i don’t use a boot strap and if i did i wouldn’t be able to use the lundy loop because it’s stock under my foot.
you need a shallow boot, trav spec pro laces. Thats basically the setup
Man get better you'll have way more fun.
I see a doctor tomorrow to look at a tear in my groin :( good thing I'm a pickup hockey guy ;)
