That tressame heat protector works great for a lot of people but for me personally it would give me frizzy results. For the blow drying try to get your hair straighter with the blow dryer before going in the with the flat iron. I have a a couple videos on my channel showing what I do, hope that helps . My hair also wouldn’t straighten properly in the beginning but now with my new technique i get good results every single time
You likely didn’t get a silky result due to the plates of the iron. Titanium plates work best on our hair, so def consider either a Hot Tools or Babyliss titanium iron if you attempt a silk press again before your big chop. Regular ceramic plates just don’t give that smooth finish on thicker, highly textured strands.
