Uncannily if I'm traveling through London I would have his music playing on the iPod. Very calming & keeps you sane. In fact good for any rail journey.
While living in Paris in 2003, we were accustomed to watching FashionTV a lot for the music and visuals. When they released “ Fashion TV Presents Pete Tong” we bought the CD at Virgin Records store on the Champs-Élysées . Best track on it was one of Ulrich’s - Knuddelmaus - and we’ve been listen to his music ever since.
Some great vintage gear in those racks MXR Delay and Flanger/Doubler, Eventide Harmonizer, even CP -70 piano. Just shows you don't need the latest greatest piece that everyone is currently raving about. Music comes from within. Ulrich is good, very good !
Yeah, Ulrich makes some really nice music..very big fan here...I think of all modern electronic composers, I will place his work and that of Simon Millls (Bent Napoleon) and maybe Air right up there with Harold Budd and Robin Guthrie....He is definately in the top 5...Crazy for Love is brilliant..and I do love Ulrich's ability to create an atmosphere...a feeling....a vision...a memory....through ambiance....will check out the magazine review thanks...:)
nice rack setup..very clean..wiring all hiden (unlike my mess of tangled midi and audio cables gawd). I wish they talked more about the sequencing..what was used..was it Logic, Ableton? Were the synths and rhythms software or hardware? Were they hardware sequenced through an external mixer than brought back into the DAW or all In the Box only? Is that an 8000K Eventide H8000FW I see in the rack? How bout that MemoryMoog! Cheers

Well it's not particularly flea market either. The stuff you list is part of the most expensive and sought after gear, and they're incredibly hyped.
Love this. London is one of my favorite tracks from the LP.
This is how those amazing tracks from Recollections of a Memory (with Ulrich) got made?? Wow.
