We drive a manual h3, got it new, almost all base model . Have just hit 250,000 miles and it's still running strong . 100,000 of them probably towing miles as well. It's been super reliable and a great vehicle

Thanks for a great review.Beautiful H-3.I have a 2006 H-3 with some issue’s but I still love it as I bought it new in 2006 and I doubt I will ever sell it.
I’m looking at the H3 and found one for a good deal with 115k miles. Any issues I should be aware of? It’s the 5 cylinder. I’m basically a bird photographer that goes into remote places to shoot. I don’t plan on doing crazy off roading but it’s nice to know I could. I’m also debating the FJ cruiser and even a Subaru Forester. You fellas have any opinions on what may be best for my needs? I hear the H3 has a good sunroof. I could shoot birds out the top I suppose! Thanks
Sold thousands of trucks and sport utilities in the 30 years as a dealer. Little baby Hummer is one my favorite vehicles. Hated Jeeps except for the 4.0 Cherokees. When they stopped building them in 01 I quit buying jeeps. My wife wont give up her 07 H3 baby Hummer. In 15 years it has never been in the shop except for oil changes.
Very nice hummer, I hope you still have it. Have to point out though that the 4high and the 4low buttons aren’t front and rear locking differential buttons. They’re transfer case buttons.
Thanks for the Video Mate, i have a Dodge Nitro at the Moment but i'm thinking about to get an H3 thats my Dream Car since i was a child but i heared some Bad Things about it 😢
whta a wonderful car the h3 5 cyl is, definitely sounds better than the modern suv's, i'd suggest replacing the radio head unit with a naviagtion screen thats meant to look like the h3's with the optional naviagtion system(some of those head units come with a backup camera to wire to the back which can help when towing a trailer or parking in general
I will be purchasing my Hummer H3 Adventure next week! Thanks for the video. I am even more excited. One question. Assuming I take care of it how many miles can expect to get out of it? It currently has 128,000 miles.
Thank you! Honestly with the right care i can see it lasting as long as you want haha. Just do/ keep up with proper fluid changes (oil, brake, power steering, coolant, transfer case, possibly transmission and filter) and other basic maintenance like spark plugs etc. You should be able to get 300,000 miles with the right care :)
The millage is not to bad in comparison to the V8. Id say that im surprised in regards with the five cylinder. There has never been an issue with it ever. its a great motor with plenty of torque to support the truck in just about anything.
Lol too funny... I'll pardon your ignorance. Those switches are not LOCKERS!! There is no locker on that model. And that H3 doesn't even have a rear locker. It would be all the way to the right. I hate hummers and even I know that
Well so far this truck has caused next to zero problems (Mechanical and transmission). Jut typical maintenance. Around 55k miles the coolant/antifreeze should be flushed, belts should be checked (they should still be good), the brake pads will go soon if they have not gone already, your also going to want to do the differential fluid, and transfer case fluid. Other than that make sure the radio unit functions properly because ive gone through 2 units already. Besides that minor issue, these trucks are built to last a lifetime! Good Luck!
I bought an '07 H3, 3.7 manual 102k mi. in near perfect condition a year ago for $13k. As I understand it, the '07's have an issue with the ignition that was fixed in '08's and later. On mine you can't just twist the key all the way to start it. You have to turn it to ON, wait for the idiot lights to turn off/bell to stop, then start it. If I don't do this often the security system will interpret it as a theft and kick in and it will not start for 10 minutes. I researched the issue online and how I described starting it is the fix. People have spent $400+ having the dealer replace ignition parts, but nothing fixes it. It's no big deal to use the start procedure I described but is a huge deal if you buy one and don't have this information. Otherwise I absolutely love mine.
Oh and there is an issue with the hood louvres/that black plastic thing on the hood. It can blow off. There was a recall and the fix was glue, which is BS. Inspection revealed mine already had the recall remedy. Mine blew off in a car wash, in the dryer section, broke. GM would not fix it again, even though I told them their "fix" didn't fix it. It still blew off. haha. I bought a replacement on Amazon. Must have been redesigned because the clips are different/better. My advice would be to keep it out of auto car washes, i.e. 90mph blower/dryers.
+Chris Carrere thanks for the advice, and yeah is better to take your time and wash your car by yourself, I'll get that soon. Anyways they are parts that can be fixed easily. Thanks
bro...ur car after hood open, its completely new like just brought from the showroom...! man how's that even possible, its already 65k droven [if am not wrong ] and 9 year old. even the hidden parts in the bonnet are super shiny and new like. how come its so dustless..!
Take off the wheel cap and remove the bolts that hold it on the trunk door. But you must have a special bolt that comes when you buy the car, without that you cannot remove any tires off the H3.( It's a little safety feature ).
Great video!!! Hummers are so iconic. I love them, especially yellow ones! I recently found a POV with a black H3, and I am seriously considering buying one. I hope I can still find one in good shape. If you guys know someone selling a black one like the one in the video, let me know!!! ruclips.net/video/WUl3QmCqlCs/видео.html Question: Do you know any frequent problems with the H3's? I've heard about some issues with the front axle, but not quite sure that's true? Any thoughts on that? Keep up with these great videos! Maybe you can get the chance to make a video with the new Hummer that is supposed to come out this year or next year. That would be an awesome video!
Youre not really a car guy are you lol. You have a few of the specs wrong, and you really cant speak about how reliable it is, and I dissagree that you have done a lot of "hard driving" when your truck is 9+ years old and has under 65k on it. The average milage on a vehicle that age is around 118k.
No lockers. H3s are not good sry. Very Unrealible. And yea I would hope u would have nothing wrong with it at 65,000. Cheap plastic interior. Never ever would consider a H2 or H3 real hummers. Maybe a modified chevy Colorado lol
