Would like to clear that the veil is NOT a ship! The veil is some sort of artifact on Neomuna, I still think the witness will use it and that it makes the enemies darkness enhanced! That is entirely my fault though on that oopsie, thanks commenters
My theory is that the veil is going to be a sort of middle ground of the paracarsal game, the giant veiled woman.
Is actually a key to open up the portal on the traveler.
@Anima Mirror yeah a key that isn't explained whatsoever despite all NPCs apparently knowing what it actually is and talking to us like we do as well.
Lightfall has come and we STILL have zero idea what tf the Veil actually is, just that it was used to open the Traveler in the cut in half ending cutscene that they shoved an entire filler incoherent mess of a campaign into.
@@zackphy Yup, dont expect the raid to explain much either. ;) It was confirmed that this expansion was just an extra, the true lightfall will come with the final shape
I’m just saying. Saint-14 said Bastion was our favorite weapon during Corridors of Time. So, either Bastion is going to get a massive buff one day, or we lied to keep Saint-14 happy.
If I recall, Bastion doesn't have a catalyst. It's possible that Bastion's catalyst will make the gun ridiculous (but not overpowered, obviously).
Maybe it gives the gun a darkness damage type? maybe something like "thread snapper" where is synergizes stupid well with strand, like extra damage to strand-verbed enemies?
@@ashumon23 adding strand bonus damage would make it useful, maybe single visioned but has a purpose
Between Revision Zero having multiple catalysts with different effects and Quicksilver Storms Catalyst making it into a Strand damage type; It's not out of the question that Exotics, particularly Kinetic exotics like Bastion, could get multiple catalysts as well.
I have a feeling that was a different timeline so it's possible that version of us just really liked bastion

The Veil is not the ship, it is another artifact on Neomuna that we don't know anything about yet.
I was under the assumption it is where we'll discover/unlock strand.

Ahamkara draw power from the space between how things are and how one wants things to be. We the players want that wish, but will likely never get it, which gave Riven an infinite well of desire to pull from.

Just a quick note reinforcing the point about the Rasputin video - the accoutn name is 'Joyeuse7' - Joyeuse is one of the swords of Charlamagne, 'forged from the steel of Cortana and Durandal' .
I wonder if, at a point, Ghost's name was Joyeuse, that seems quite plausible given the pattern from Marathon and Halo.
Oh, and the 7 is because Bungie.

A theory that I loosely subscribe to is that the Witness' forces were on earth once before the Collapse, most likely during the times of ancient Mesopotamia to that of ancient Egypt. Evidence is K1, Clarity Control, Revision Zero, displays in the pyramid ships featuring architecture, language, and art very reminiscent of our own from that time period. As Osiris pointed out in a recent collecter's edition lore book, the Cabal and Eliksni also don't seemingly have any religions that we know of other than those featuring the Traveler. For us, however, we still had other religions during the golden age. It may be just a crack theory, but it's what I'm currently kinda hoping for.
@SlipperyStacks "It makes sense just like how the traveler was going from planet to planet empowering populations, the darkness was going around gathering disciples." That's actually the one piece that doesn't make sense to me. This is because if the Witness wanted Disciples, why did it not take what would follow it and destroy the remainder as it did with Hive and Rhulk's race? No, I think there is a different reason the Witness was here, one that I think we'll most likely see in Lightfall if the build-up is anything to go by.
@SlipperyStacks Possibly, but I think by the end of the first battle of light and dark is meant to be our big bang ending with the Gardener and the Winnower stuck in our universe. On a slightly separate note, there are two lines from savathun's from Alters of reflection referring to the Witness' origins I view as plausible. One refers to the Witness birthing the Darkness, and the other refers to the Witness' race being blessed by the light but changed after growing discontent. On the weapon Future Safe 10 there is this text "See who's robed as if a god, who stands with pride above the rest!
Destroy this ancient nameless fraud! Destroy the one whose death was blessed!" Just something to think about.
@SlipperyStacks, then we have but a few questions remaining, don't we. Where was the Witness' species blessed, and how so? What Species was the Witness, and how was it changed after going against the Light? How is the Witness connected to Humanity? I've had my answer since Shadowkeep. What's yours?
So k1 is because of Nezerac, Clarity control is because it is the witness influencing Clovis, and Revision zero is made of material from the K1 artifact
We know now that Nezarec was known to pre-golden age humanity, so that's anywhere from 2014- to the beginning of recorded human history at least and since we also know he personally helmed the invasion of Sol during the collapse, it tracks.
This may sound weird but we've spent 100s of hours in Last Wish searching for 15th wish. All over Dreaming City, too. There's a place by elevator, and a place by Mara's throne that are pretty cool.
I think we have every inch examined.

Evil Traveler was my favorite theory. It was credible at the time with what we knew and what the lore was.
I remember this idea of the Traveler being a vex construct as a huge plot twist. There was also the heart of the vex being inside the Traveler corrupting it.
Ya know the inside of the traveler I think the veil could be there and the witness is hunting it…

I remember I heard that The Traveler could connect with the Hellsmouth on the moon and become a weapon.

Vex use Triangles as passageways and the Witness uses a Triangle to create a portal into the Traveller...
So there is a somewhat a link to the Vex between them.
Or maybe the Traveller created the Vex
They were created in the "Primordial Garden" after all...
Or maybe the Traveller hosts the Primordial Garden within it which could explain why it created plants when it fired at the pyramid ships.
I have a feeling that within the Portal the Witness travelled through, the Primordial Garden is on the other side.

2. Evan and CB now hate Sweat because he screams too much.
3. Sweat got arrested and evicted for continuously trying to light fires in the oven.
Isn't sweat going to be part of the day one raid race and hence can't be shout casting with evan and CB

If you want to make another bizarre theory video, there's a fan theory that the Witness is our guardian from another timeline. You could honestly make an entire video around that theory as there is some (albeit small) evidence to back it up.

My uneducated guess for the "Take up your arms, my children" video is that it could be Clovis Bray communicating with early exos that haven't awaken yet, as we now know his intent to overthrow the Traveler.
It could also be Rasputin training his various subminds before they became fully independent, talking to Siva to kill Felwinter, or maybe attempting to make more than one son alongside Felwinter.
considering it was three years before release, it was probably IG plot rasputin. nothing to relate it to now.

I think a lot of people missed the image behind our rewards track this season. It shows a very similar image of the exo frame (shown in the eerie video) in renaissance style artwork. Reminds me of something from the Sistine Chapel

There was an old legendary sniper rifle in year 1 of D2 that talked about a sniper needing to move after firing a shot. My first thought was Devrim K was going to die or just need to move. Then Lightfall trailer drops and I saw him move. But will he die? I hope he does because I want his gun, specifically the No Land Beyond.

I feel like that is talking more about the traveler in this case. The traveler shot off the huge burst of light awhile back and destroyed a few darkness ships, but never moved from earth. Now we saw it try to move but it was too late and is already surrounded by the darkness.

I have a weird theory that the traveller was created by the witness's people and its basically an attempt at godhood , supposed to be an engine of pure creation they could control but instead turned into a rogue machine that gained sentience and has been running away for millennia from its creators. probably completely off but its still a cool concept i think.

The fact that !lettinggo came out before the destiny teaser in Halo will always be crazy to me. Bungie devs still capping to this day they didn't make that XD

What? Didn't hte video come out in 2011? Destiny was first teased in Halo 3: ODST in 2009. Not saying it can't still eb true, but Halo teased it before the video

From the recent light fall trailers, we can see that the traveler can create life as we see it’s beam make trees grow from one of the pyramids.
And the Morse code fits the traveler too. The video also says it had an awakening.

Here’s my theory. The traveler wanted savathun to capture it. Savathun calls it her friend the traveler gave her the light willingly the traveler tries to leave only to have Rasputin pointed at it. It doesn’t have confidence in the guardians ability to protect it. That is all. I won’t have more on it until lightfall.
So that Rasputin video, if that came out before Destiny then its most definitely a bungie made video. Bungie has a history of using Arthurian mythology i think its called, in their work. marathon had Durendal, sword of Roland. Halo had Cortana which is one letter off of Curtana, sword of Ogier. Joyeuse is the Sword of Charlemagne and Charlemagne was originally intended to be a warmind of its own of Mars. They were retconned to later be a submind of Rasputin along with the others we recovered during this season.
There could very be more bungie videos out there like that with similar naming conventions.

I’d like to believe that the Galaxy Pools is where we fight The Witness, maybe there’s a point in time during the final battle where you get severely injured and end up in the Galaxy Pools since it would tie into the theory that it’s where Guardians come to die for real.
The 15th wish is kinda obvious at this point; when last wish gets craftables. You'll need the 15th wish to get a guaranteed red border once per week.
Cant forget that lightfall was a whole filler expansion made between 1 cutscene split into 2 sections. The beginning and end cutscene have 0 time between them, it literally picks up where it left off so everything in between was completely irrelevant

I feel like the darkness-enhanced enemies will be a weaker version of the twizzler-chimera enemies like Rhulk, Nezarec, and the Tormentors. Maybe with some Taken thrown in the mix somehow.
