About The Nanny:
Fran Drescher stars as Fran Fine, a street-smart young woman with a face out of Vogue and a voice out of Queens who stumbles onto the opportunity to become nanny to the children of a wealthy widower, Maxwell Sheffield. Soon Fran, with her offbeat nurturing and no-nonsense honesty, touches Maxwell as well as the kids.

“They may look British, but they think Yiddish!” Brilliant line!
and especially true for Grace
Omg I thought she said "Yettish" which is rooted from Yetta 😭😭😭😂
The writing for this show was great!
@@shimanopetermann9068 lol I know right
A perfect line
Val's a G. This was the 90s. Walking through Central Park at night is no joke.
*Maxwell:* Repeat after me: 'Mark went on a lark after dark in Central Park.'
*Fran:* Gee, I hope he's got a gun.
😂🤣
@@musicaltheatergeek79 That's exactly the line that came to mind when Val said that haha
"What do I do first? Call my mother? No, call the electrolysis."😂
Fran’s outfit on the first scene is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love it!
I love the chaotic friendship of fran and val
Their real offscreen friendship definitely shines through onscreen and it's just beautiful! 😍
I would legit just watch a show on her and val. Absolutely Fabulous style!
Oh my goodness, the minute he walked into that room, I was swooning. I love the way Fran is so casual around him, but seriously how could you not have a crush on him?
He is a doll
HE IS SO CUTE
Niles is very cute indeed ^^
P
Fran is seriously jumping to conclusions faster than the Flash saving lives.
“He’s at death’s door” haha
I cant believe that Daniel Davis is not British, he's got an impeccable accent, and the character's cinisim just makes him the best of the show... to think he marries CC at the end it's just amazing, he was the main reason she ended up at a psych guard
Hey! Spoiler Alert!
Daniel Davis is the guy that plays Niles?
Psych guard or psych ward? What's a psych guard? I haven't watched the series all the way through yet.
@@katelynbrown98 ward not guard

Fran's sequined bodycon dress is totes gorge!
Val and Fran are so funny together 😂
"ahhhhh, Poo Poo, Poo Poo" haaa Val and Fran are too much! and Val is a G of a friend to wait for 2 trains a bus and cut thru central park for Fran.
Wait, why did they say poo poo??
@@lolitis01 It's their version of "knock on wood." Superstitious behavior.
TTT- toi, toi, toi
He’s known Fran shorter than C.C, and knows better to trust her with the kids. Though, I would figure he would make Niles the guardian, but I guess not
I would think Fran first, then Niles, should anything happen to Fran before they all turn 18, too. The business goes to C.C.
Really? It’s a TV show
@@worldtraveler457 ~imagination~
Niles isn't a nanny 😅
I think legally obvs the guardian would be his mom or sister and he just made sure Fran would still be their nanny and take care of them and practically raise them. But I can only imagine, it would be hell with Maxwell's mother interfering and belittling Fran. Or his sister Jocelyn who at this point we can't say if she's still the kind hearted woman we met in season 2(?) or the bitter alcoholic they turned her into in season 6.
I love Val's hair here
"Please how hard is it to wait for two trains?" Hahahaha gotta love Val
2:50 very true, but Gracie more so then her older siblings. But still she is not wrong.
I was just going to comment on this. Too true.
Gracie would need the most help from Fran still . The two older ones not really
"I'm gonna have to learn a whole new language." 😭😂💀
I was hoping that when Max asked about how he looked that Val would accidentally say “Drop dead gorgeous” 😂❤️
If Fran doesn’t frizz in the muggy NYC summers.....she’ll be fine in England.
Val is a real friend..... Knowing when your friend hair will frizz.... Yes
Hey that's job security at least 🤣🤣🤣
Val is such a good friend 💕
Val is the friend I want
Her outfit in the first scene 😍
She kinda looks like from the clueless movie
Can you imagine Fran with frizzy hair? It's already so big LOL. :)
Love this show so much lol
I wouldn’t even walk across the park at night, those raccoons and raccoon sized rats no thank you.
i was expecting Val to say "Don't worry Fran, you won't be a widow -- you two aren't married" :D
That would make too much sense for Val.
You know you frizz
Sp funny how familiar Fran's friends and family are with the house and the residents lol ☕
FULL EPISODES!!!! please!!!
I CAN'T believe that I never watched this show until now, it's so funny and Fran Drescher is friggin HOT!
I liked that she showed those kids a lot about Jews.
It was Fran dreschers idea, they wanted to make her Italian
2004, FDA banned a second Dexatrim ingredient, ephedra. Although ephedra showed some effectiveness for short-term weight loss, it was linked to raising blood pressure and increasing the risk of heart problems and stroke.
There are many ways to lose a backer, they don't like the music, the casting, but death by Nanny is a first
I need me a val and fran 😩🙌🏻💖
Hilarious 😂
These two are😂🤣🤣😂😂😅
Even in her old age she's funny
I can only imagine
I would put it in my will, without a doubt 😍
Val was great.
Funny 😁 😆 😄
At least they didn't say he looks Coffin Sharp.
Funny 😄
WHERE does she get her clothes?🤭
Her cousin or something is in the fashion industry and gives her free clothes
Her cousin Todd Oldme "cousin Toddy" who forgot meeting C.C.
This outfit!
I know something you don't know~

Pardon me for asking, but, can anyone explain the Chinese Restaurant joke?
@Floymin the joke comes from a stereotype that Chinese food isn't very filling. You eat... and an hour-and-a-half later, you're hungry again.
Long time no see.Who said this first?

I’ve watched the show a hundred times and I still don’t know if Val was Jewish.
Nope, catholic and Italian.
She's not
What is that gesture the nanny keeps doing? Where she puts the tips of her index and middle finger near her mouth and says "Pooey pooey(??)"?
I dont know what it's called but some people in my family do it too. It's like saying "God forbid". A way to be like "oh we shouldn't talk about this because it's bad juju"
@@ashleynoble2880 Oh I see, thank you. That's very interesting. Is it supposed to be like spitting?
@@lolitis01 Yes it's like to try to ward off whatever evil eye there may be, that some people believe comes from talking about things like death.
In Indian (meaning from India not Native American as far as I know) culture, this is sometimes taken even a step further and when children are born the parents might make a harmless dot or mark (usually a black mark) on their baby's face with an eye pencil (or something of that kind), to create an imperfection in the hope that it will result in the evil eye passing over their child, and leaving them alone because they are flawed.
@@crunchysocialisthippie Again, very interesting thank you! Would it be weird if I started doing that "pooey pooey" thing even if I'm not Jewish?
@@lolitis01 Thanks, if I recall correctly they even joked about this/something like this on the George Lopez show when George was horrified to find out that his mother had even put urine on his face when he was a baby to ward off the evil eye..............
And now a little Yiddish (or Hebrew?): Ma shlomex, Fran? At medaberet ivrit? Sorry, Fran, but that's about all the Hebrew I can conjure up at the moment. The Jewish people have contributed a lot to world civilisation, you have a history like no other, and I'm glad you cherish your Jewish heritage. The Judeo-Christian tradition gave rise to Western civilisation which has been a blessing to all the world. The ancient Jews gave us the Bible, modern Jews gave us Columbus, Einstein, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Wikipedia...and Fran Drescher gave us The Nanny. And we love you, Fran, whiny voice and all!
I often think we'd maybe be better off without the Bible and Facebook :DD otherwise good stuff
@@charliez077 I'm not a Facebook subscriber myself and I guess it may have its pros and cons, but how about the Bible? What makes you think we're better off without the Bible? 🤔
@@mpd8633 well for one - the terrible homophobia within Christianity and their book - Bible.
@@charliez077 Quite an interesting observation! But could you at least cite an instance of this Bible and christian homophobia?
@@mpd8633 mate if you need quotations to see that it's hugely because of last 2000 years and christianity that we still have TONS of homophobia in 2022 (tho things are way better today, still far from perfect), I think you should do some serious studying. (btw of course other religions are homophobic and very flawed too)
