It’s less taboo than it was back then. My generation is all about tattoos, piercings, dying our hair unnaturally colors, showing more skin, etc. People still find them attractive, but it’s less of an exciting, exotic discovery, and more of a normal attractive physical display

I always found tattoos unattractive. But hey, I’m just one guy.
Some parents don't want their children to get a tattoo until they are at least 18 if not 21, so there is still a degree of hesitation - especially where children are involved.

Anyone knows how to stream episodes of the nanny?
There are a couple of Nanny Facebook pages that will stream episodes at random times, if you follow and check notifications on FB. They usually will stream whole season in a row, typically late at night, sometimes mid morning

It’s crazy she was actually 39 on this episode but said she stays 29 on the show LOL, this whole time especially as a child I thought she was actually in her 20s while filming the Nanny because she looks so young, fit and pretty

Some of the best writing on tv. I think Fran Dresher is a lovely woman and a great actress (when she isn't using the nasal voice). I loved Mr. Sheffield's Waldo remark.

I'm surprised in the final season when Fran wants to get pregnant, Max says "diapers" instead of "nappies" but I think since this was a sitcom that aired in the States, most of us wouldn't know what he meant.

I hated the fact that they strung the audience along for so long. They should have moved the story further and quicker than they did.
I think they probably would've except for shows that do that you know give you the relationship part of it straight off tend to get cancelled especially when it's based more on the unfulfilled sexual attraction between the two characters
The appeal of the ,”will they, won’t they “ storyline is what attracts the audience. I think if they had gotten together sooner, the premise of the show would have be ruined and it wouldn’t have made it to 6 seasons. It was fitting for them to finally marry when the kids were grown up and no longer in need of a nanny and they could pretty much focus on each other
Because Fran Drescher felt like if Fran and Max got together too quickly it would end the show. That's why the will they or won't they scenario lasted so long.
The show actually started to tank *once* they got together with the viewership. I would've watched it as it aired (of I were born) but loved the reruns in the very early 2000's.
