I am 43 years old, and I weigh 280lbs, is it possible that I also drop 50lbs by walking? Do you have more tips please? It looks like meal plan is the most important, so I will check that one
@@andyyy-e5p yes, that’s possible via just walking. The one and only rule you need to follow is, more calories out, than calories in. Just work out roughly what you burn in an average day + walking, then ensure you eat less. You WILL lose weight! Now how much and how fast, all depends on how hard you take it. But just do what’s easiest for you, don’t try to do it all at once or you’ll just burn out!
I would love to see Dr. Mike do a critique of classic kung fu training sequences from an exercise science perspective. Like carrying buckeets of water with your arms outstretched and stuff. I remember being taught that those kinds of exercises are creating a "different" kind of strength from lifting weights.
It would probably be muscular endurance rather than hypertrophy. Probably just feasible ways to get resistance when commercial gym equipment wasn't a thing.

I gained like 25 lbs in a few days after my first ever physique show. I was naive and uneducated, and had a whole gym support system that didn't tell me about rebound or reverse dieting. My legs were basically squishy with edema and would become painful walking up and down steep incline. My stomach seemingly had no limits to how much food I could eat and it was hard to stop. DO NOT rebound after a show and eat everything in sight for days! Shit sucked and all that time to get lean was gone in a week lol

Im 28 ..A year ago I was 385 today I’m 205 I lift 45 min a day 4 days a week and control my diet like Mike said it’s just consistency this channel has been a huge help for me from lift form to diet suggestions just wanna say thanks for all you guys do and keep the videos rolling in

NO, Larry Wheels does NOT have that "young man testosterone" energy as by his own admission his body is no longer capable of producing any testosterone because of his many years of steroid abuse. YES, Larry still has a lot of testosterone surging through his veins but it all comes out of a bottle at this point in his life... I'm not judging, just stating the facts here for accuracy, as I have the same complication myself after being a juicer when I was younger and am now on TRT.
It's like the show prep puts the body in a similar state to those that are saved from a survival situation. Low water, low caloric intake with calorie burn through the roof. That's why they teach you that after you're stuck in a situation like that, you have to very closely manage your diet.

I switched from push pull to a mix of chest and bicep and back and tricep. The logic is that I can independently exhaust both of them without the synergistic movements tiring out my triceps. When I’m benching for example, I can switch to bicep and allow my triceps to recover from the little bit of activation and fully exhaust itself at maximum potential the next day with my back workout
I got some Versa Grips for Christmas. Been lifting since 1997 and never liked straps. I love the versa grips though! Been using them for a few weeks and have already seen some strength gains.

But I've found figure 8 straps to be much, much easier to setup than regular straps. Can you get them as tight as regular straps? Probably not, but I've never found myself in a situation where the figure 8 straps slipped off or were even close. At the same time you can find them for less than $10 and while I'm sure there could be some theoretical additional functionality to the Versa Gripps, anyone strapped for cash would probably be happy with 90 % of the benefits for 1/8 the price. So if you're a lifter who's not in a financial situation to spend $80 on gym accessories but think that regular straps are a hassle to set up, I would recommend figure 8 straps, preferably in some sort of non-abrasive cotton weave.
Some time ago, I heard that the most anyone could do with a strict chest supported one-arm dumbbell row was 100 kg: chest resting on a firm flat surface, and the weight pulled up until the humerus is just parallel to the floor ... and a discernable pause at the top, and not just up and then immediately down as is usually done.

I understand the desire to do it naturally, HOWEVER, the health benefits of TRT on older guys cannot be denied. I really recommend that you talk to your doctor about getting on TRT. Aside from a boost in strength it is a boost in all forms of performance for anyone who is old enough that their natural T levels have fallen off. You will heal faster, many of your little aches and pains will stop and you will feel younger and stronger.
