Why the fuck do think a political party will 'pay' for it? In tas we have a protected introduced pest species, the deer. More potential fuckery than the rabbit
The Greens want more animals and much less humans. The Greens would prefer us to be in the crosshairs. But for the time being they are content in destroying Australia's economy and the livelihoods of everyone, especially those trying to scratch a living or gain some benefit from the land.
I don't have the stomach to hunt myself, but I understand completely how important it is to keep pest species under control. Excellent kit, excellent videography and superb marksmanship. You certainly have your work cut out for you! Cheers from the UK.
You are awesome. I have always enjoyed hunting rabbits and although I can't get around that well any longer I managed to get a couple that were making quick work of my wife garden. I eagerly await any video that you or Nathan put out. Gosh i enjoy them so much. Keep up the great work. Cheers
The image quality of that Hik Micro is just stellar. Nice job on the rabbits of the on that property I think that only classifies as a decent start. Watching in the background they're going to need a few more nights work to really make a dent in that population.
G'Day Rodney. Some excellent shooting in a target-rich environment. And some acrobatic rabbits. Your kit looks first class. Gotta love that fully integrated scope, rangefinder and ballistics computer all in one. Peace.
Looks like you’ve got long term work there, just keep the pellets up to the gun, as always, great gear that your using, hopefully it’s low maintenance, an very reliable, looks very accurate, another great video, thanks Rod
Spectacular work Rod. Just back from Day 1 of Sika Show here in Hamilton NZ where I was manning the NRANZ booth. On one walk about it was great to play with the new products from HikMicro, especially the Stellar SQ50L 3.0, and its bigger brother the Stellar SX60L 3.0. That SX60L is something else!!!
Awesome shooting Rod. That right there you are using is an incredible bit of kit. Numbers are a bit like they used to be on the Nullarbor . I used to go out and get up to 80 pair a night and sell them to the local rabbit buyer Ted Gerovitch who used to run a couple of full time trappers. All the rabbits a couple of thousand or so used to go to Perth for the meat supply. Of course they all had to be headshot to be useable. Good times , good money and plenty of bunnies.thanks for the video mate. Take it easy.
A lot of gutting and skinning there! Great job. You don't have to discard older rabbits for eating. As long as you 'steep' the skinned jointed rabbit in milk overnight (10 plus hrs) in the fridge it will tenderise the meat and remove any 'gamey' flavour. Great vid.
I was about 20 when we went spotlighting on my mates farm, I was using a ruger 10/22 with Nikko sterling 4x32 scope. We went round in one paddock for an hour and a half talking out 107 rabbits, 3 foxes, and 5 feral cats. We had to go as we ran out of ammo. Nice work on the underground mutton, and I know the dish licker will love you for it. Keep up the great work.
Excellent job. I am on my way home from a caravan park on the Saphire Coast of NSW and I thought the rabbits were bad there. You have plenty of targets to choose from.
I was talking to a mate about your videos the other day, when a woman listened in to our conversation. You could say she wasn't agreeable. Anyway, I politely gave her something to think about. I enjoy your videos, and mate, you are doing a great job. Your gear is envied by many lol. As always, looking forward to your next vid. Cheers 👍🏻
The only time I've ever seen an infestation like that was one of rats around a barn. I'm surprised that disease hadn't taken them, considering the density of that population. Great video, awesome markmanship! The Grim Reaper strikes again!
At least the judges a bit more restraint and probably tasted a lot better as well.................. but then again I am just on 80 and my personal tastes are a bit more refined perhaps?
@@kekenidika1 Only 80? Young whipper snapper🤣🤣 The best part about growing up when we did was,,,,,, no video cameras. As for personal tastes, once you make it past 60 odd our taste buds have already copped a flogging so we know better than to repeat the process, it's the old bull and young bull scenario.
New gear seems to be fantastic mate and wow that sure do have a rabbit problem great shooting as always the fx sure does the job cheers mate happy shooting
The price of nice rabbits is quite high in Canada. As the coyotes have expanded into eastern Ontario, it hard to find more than a few wild ones. Of all the wild game available varying hare are some of the finest eating. Traditional bottled rabbit is a fine delicacy. When I see your haul I’m thinking a couple of days work processing and I’ve got a nice winter hoard. Very nice optics, and fine shooting.
I spent 2 years in Aus on a military exchange in the late 80's. Did some diving at Burrendong Dam at Stuart Town, NSW. Stayed in the Iron Bark Hotel and met some farmers who shot their own rabbits. They fired 22 rimfires above the rabbit's heads which caused them to 'freeze' and they caught them by hand. To be sold later and killed when required. Went gold mining too, found about $50s worth
RJ you need to bring your own cart. I was just thinking of that when you showed the owner's cart. So from now on much more efficient and back-saving too.
G'day, Rod 90+ feral bunnies, not bad mate, and that's the ones you counted. Dog food? Skin a few, leave them in the sun to age for a day. Baked Bunny, the mutts love em mate. Another great post mate. not too long, not too short. take care.
Great Video Rod. The HikMicro Alpex 4K LRF always sounds like you're underwater when recording sound, so I know what you mean. I just don't have enough spare organs to sell to afford the new Stellar mate, but they look amazing.
Thats a bloody target rich environment, good work sir! I think you need to come down to Central Otago here in Kiwi Land and have a crack at out 250,000,000 rabbits :D
G'day Rod, yeah they need you back there to cut those numbers before the next cycle of breeding. 👍
Absolutely mate 👌
When the greens political party wants to pay for this, I'll vote for them. Because this is true environmental service. So, thank you.
Very welcome mate

Thank you Sir 👊
I've heard it takes about 7 rabbit pelts to make a felt hat ;-) New products? makin' me jealous!
The FX certainly hit the bunnies hard, struggling with the bloopers at the end Rod,seems like a chocolate withdrawal problem to me😂
Ran out of red frogs 😉
I feel like sending you a big pot of spag bol, Rod.
Great work mate.
