Why the fuck do think a political party will 'pay' for it?
In tas we have a protected introduced pest species, the deer. More potential fuckery than the rabbit

The Greens want more animals and much less humans.
The Greens would prefer us to be in the crosshairs.
But for the time being they are content in destroying Australia's economy and the livelihoods of everyone, especially those trying to scratch a living or gain some benefit from the land.

Awesome shooting Rod. That right there you are using is an incredible bit of kit. Numbers are a bit like they used to be on the Nullarbor . I used to go out and get up to 80 pair a night and sell them to the local rabbit buyer Ted Gerovitch who used to run a couple of full time trappers. All the rabbits a couple of thousand or so used to go to Perth for the meat supply. Of course they all had to be headshot to be useable. Good times , good money and plenty of bunnies.thanks for the video mate. Take it easy.

A lot of gutting and skinning there! Great job. You don't have to discard older rabbits for eating. As long as you 'steep' the skinned jointed rabbit in milk overnight (10 plus hrs) in the fridge it will tenderise the meat and remove any 'gamey' flavour. Great vid.

We went round in one paddock for an hour and a half talking out 107 rabbits, 3 foxes, and 5 feral cats. We had to go as we ran out of ammo. The price of nice rabbits is quite high in Canada. As the coyotes have expanded into eastern Ontario, it hard to find more than a few wild ones.
Of all the wild game available varying hare are some of the finest eating. Traditional bottled rabbit is a fine delicacy.

I spent 2 years in Aus on a military exchange in the late 80's. Did some diving at Burrendong Dam at Stuart Town, NSW. Stayed in the Iron Bark Hotel and met some farmers who shot their own rabbits. They fired 22 rimfires above the rabbit's heads which caused them to 'freeze' and they caught them by hand. To be sold later and killed when required. Went gold mining too, found about $50s worth
