    You are the man! I think you learn the songs before the band has them down. 😂

    One of those rare bands that can get the 7 string sound perfect without actually playing a 7.

      They do play 7s on some songs. Clint has some baritones also.

    I just heard this song today and it is my new favorite. This is top class Sevendust. I don’t think I’ve heard Lajon sing better. As good as Shine.
    Prime to be a new underrated fan favorite.

    Deftones and Stephen Carpenter always seemed to drop a step every album they released. Now, Sevendust is going Drop G. Why not? That tuning is very hard to maintain on a standard guitar without effects. Most use a 7 or 8-string, usually highly modified.

    Is drop G new for Sevendust? I don't recall them tuning that low in the past.

      They dropped to G on Kill The Flaw first, just a different variation of it.

      holy shit!!! I found another fan that seems to have there ears working and isn't just blindly saying they love it. I'm honestly baffled a bit. ALL the singles have been pretty majorly underwhelming. Its just VERY formulaic. Everything from the progressions, melodies and most obvious the riffs. I was worried working with elvis AGAIN would be an issue and it seems that's the case. The guitars are really the main ingredient of this band that makes them standout from there peers and a huge reason why they have stayed relatively successful. I guess as long as the band is satisfied with what there creating that's most important but man this is the first time in so long (since clint came back) that all the singles have done NOTHING for me. The ONLY part that gave me that high I normally get was on the pre chorus of everything with those clint riffs but it was literally only like 10 seconds of the song. I know bands have to sort of straddle a line of being radio friendly and still doing what they want but I worry thats doing more harm than good at this point. Its because of the bands unique nature and hard work ethic thats kept them successful. The bands fans are die hard and established enough at this point I really dont think they need to cater to ANYONE at all! And ive said to others, if the band is happy thats the main thing. Maybe this is just what they want to do now? I just think if they keep going like this, there sort of going to just fade into obscurity. I just dont feel the passion at all in these songs.

    • @365daysgone
      @365daysgone 11 месяцев назад

      @wjveryzer7985 agreed. I do like Everything. I think that's a fantastic single but overall the singles are too formulaic and just nothing memorable. It was inly 8 years ago they released Kill the Flaw and that was a huge step in the right direction. All I see is war was a decent followup but blood from a stone was kind of showing the band nearing the end of their career. They all have different side projects, they've released over 12 albums, I think they should just put an album out when they've given it their all even if it takes 6 years.

    • @killianwhite6269
      @killianwhite6269 11 месяцев назад

      Yeah, really not feeling anything they've released so far for this record - it seems like the band is just running on autopilot at this point.

    • @MysticGuitar77

      You guys are going to like the rest of the songs on the album A LOT more than the singles. Once again, they didn't pick the best singles at all to represent this album.
      That's all I'm saying.

    Really curious about your thoughts man. Ill be honest, Im sort of shocked how boring these new songs have been. Im equally shocked that EVERYONE seems to be loving them. They just do nothing for me. Even the melodies are not up to there usual.

    • @MysticGuitar77
      @MysticGuitar77  11 месяцев назад

      This song and Everything aren't really doing anything for me if I'm being totally honest with myself. Not really sure what they're going for with these mid-tempo ballads. They've done them before to great success but these new songs just don't really go anywhere or have that big payoff somewhere in the song. It's missing something and it's hard to even say what it is.
      Clint does say on his Patreon that this song in particular was intentionally commercialized in sound to be ironic to the subject matter. They definitely succeeded in doing that because this song is very commercial sounding for Sevendust's standards.
      I'm trying to wait off full judgment until I can hear the whole album and hear these songs in context. The ebbs and flow of an album can really change your perspective of certain songs. It definitely did for me for Blood & Stone. Didn't really care all that much for that album at first either but it grew on me a lot over time. This album has potential to do the same. It already has that kind of feel. I love Holy Water, Fence is a'ght and Everything and this song definitely have room to possibly grow on me.

    I dislike this 7Dust song man, pop rock this one. The mixing is horrible, I am over Elvis. Elvis did awesome on that first Projected album and man just don’t know what happened. Always pumped for a new 7Dust album but this song will be skipped on the mix.

    • @MysticGuitar77
      @MysticGuitar77  11 месяцев назад

      The rest of the non-singles on the album are much better. I don't know why but they always tend to pick weaker songs as their singles and it's definitely no exception with this album either. The rest of the songs on the album are bangers and ends up being one of their heavier albums which is weird to say considering how soft the singles are. Very diverse album, there's something on it for every type of fan I think.
