+WinterSoldier LTE Sevendust is doing just fine. It's the whole metal/rock scene that needs to pick up. Kids rather listen to some DJ dressed as Mickey Mouse with a light show going while taking X or Molly. What we have here is a failure of the system. LOL Teach your kids right! Musicians > DJs.
I met him once at what I think was Fallout 2000 in Orlando. I got a backstage pass and we were sharing a drink together, him and Clint. Really cool guys, have always respected them

Thanks for sharing. I’m not the biggest fan of the band. But I do love the Animosity album. I used to sing that album front to back OFTEN back in the day. Very fun. Good vocal patterns on it. Nice to hear everyone here in the comments talk about how cool they are in person
Sevendust has to be one of classiest bands in history. Talk about down to earth, humble, still making killer music, and still enjoying each other’s company while doing it. Very cool dudes.
I saw Sevendust with Creed back in the early 2000's. I actually found out about Sevendust at a local cd store. I saw their first album and said "This looks interesting." I listened to it and I loved it. I remember the first big story about them was about Skinheads showing up to their concert because they thought that their songs were about white supremacy. I can only imagine how they felt when Lajon walked out on stage. I would have laid on the floor from laughing so hard.
+TheMeJustMe75 I also saw them a few years ago for the third time in Connecticut and at least 3 rows in the back were all Hell's Angels. I was completely shocked. I know not all Hell's Angels are racist but that I definitely have heard that many are.
I saw that tour as well. I had no clue who Sevendust was. Never heard their music. The first song was played, Lajon was whipping his dreads, the band was jumping up and down, Morgan was screaming and I was hooked. I don’t even really remember creed. They have been one of my favorite bands ever since.
Sevendust, creed, kid rock, and metallic played a concert in Tampa. I missed sevendust due to traffic. Got to see them later though but that concert rocked.

Sevendust at a Manson show demanding their $99! That's amazing! Sad hearing about LJ's brother - I saw them play right after that happened. Super emotional show.
I got to spend a few hours hanging with Clint and Lajon at a show in 98. Ultraspank (their bass player still owes me a pack of smokes), Clutch, Stuck Mojo (Bones is a cool fucking dude), and Sevendust. Lajon was the nicest guy ever. He's a little dude and I'm 6'5. It was comical looking. Morgan was so drunk he could barely keep his chin off his chest. We talked for a minute but he was fully wrecked. They put on a hell of a show though. I'll always have much love for Lajon and Sevendust.
I'm the same way. Into more technical metal, but I've met these guys a few times and they're probably the coolest band I've ever hung out with. Fucking love these guys!
I can also vouch for Thor's experience. I've seen Sevendust several times in Tallahassee, Florida. Lajon wasn't shy about hanging out after the show and was just the nicest dude. I think Lajon and Dimebag are/were the most humble people and made everyone feel welcome. On a side note, it's a fucking shame Dime is gone.
These guys are really cool and always put on a good show every single night. I first saw them at Woodstock '99 and then 28 more times since! They're really one of the best bands out there. Glad to see them having so much fun and performing at the top of their game AND sober. Much respect.
In the early 2000’s I saw them in concert. I was in front against the gate and a crowd surfer landed on top of my head which got slammed/pinned on the gate. When they finally got him off of me - my head was bleeding quite a bit. LJ stopped the show mid song saying “hey get her up here - she’s hurt”, had security pick me up over the gate so I was directly in front of the stage and they gave me a chair to finish out the concert holding a towel against my head. 😆 They all kept checking on me during the rest of the show. I still have the scar and they are still the nicest band I’ve met.
It's nice to see these two having good times like bros again, I know they had that falling out for a bit. Best band I saw at warped tour 97 man, amazing live.
Was at the show the night LJ found out about his brother in St. Jo, MN. They played a short set and you could see the emotion on his face. I've had the pleasure of seeing them and chilling with them several times since. Just last Wednesday I saw them in fact. Most down to earth guys in the business, in my opinion.
Saw them open for Megadeth back in 98. Had never heard of them at the time. The crowd was into them. I never became a fan but regardless of my or anyone else's opinion of them, they are a solid live band.
Yeah, it's sad to look around and see that the same boring rap gets promoted, but you hear good songs and they never get any positive press. Truly a shame
These guys played a USO show in Afghanistan in 2008. I was so excited that I got to see them. They played acoustic versions of their hits, kind of like an "unplugged" show. Then they stayed and signed autographs for all the soldiers and gave us all a free copy of their CD Chapter IV: Hope and Sorrow. Thank you Sevendust. You'll always be one of my favorite bands.

My wife and I had a chance to see Sevendust at The Varsity theater in Baton Rouge years ago. It is a small venue so we got to be up close. The show was AWESOME! These folks ROCK!
Lajon Witherspoon has been my metal music crush for many years. He is talented, funny, down to earth, and sexy as hell!! At a Sevendust show 4 days ago, Lajon held my hand as he sang part of Thank You to me, then winked and blew me a kiss!!! I saw Sevendust down at the Metro Theatre in Sydney just 2 nights ago (26/04/2019) and as we were lining up for entry the whole band walked out and shook hands with the fans waiting in line at the time, and see the great thing about that was everyone kept there cool and greeted them like old friends as they did us. Now majority of that crowd were older, middle aged men and women with families and life experience - maturity, and I am just this 18 year old Aussie boy who has a passion for his music and to have met, looked into the eyes of and shook hands with each and every member of that band was the most surreal experience. I was lucky enough to be up on the barrier of their set, directly in front of me was Clint. Multiple times I made communications and gestures to Clint because I genuinely worship him and his talents. I play guitar aswell, and he took a moment in the show to come forward to me and hand me the pick he had (I know it’s common for band members to throw picks) but the fact that he handed it to me followed by a wink and a chest tap was something truly special it made my night. I sent him a message on Instagram, nothing super fanboy, just a genuine thank you and he responded just today with a simple devils horns and a heart. You won’t get stuff like this at modern day mainstream shows. Metal is a beautiful thing because its real, it’s intimate, it’s raw and this band is a perfect example as to why. Thank you 7D 🤘🏼♥️
I've always liked Sevendust, and I still think they should be on more people's playlists. I think they're probably one of the most underrated bands of my generation.
They were one of those bands I found when I was 13 who started me down the road to metal. Don't love the music anymore looking back. But respect for what they did for me when I was 13.
I hung out with Clint backstage at the 2006 Family Values tour when he was playing for Korn - one of the most down to earth, humble, cool guys I've ever met. I didn't even know who he was for over an hour of talking to him because he didn't just outright say "oh yeah I'm a rock star". Awesome experience
I saw these guys in 2022 at Hampton Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire. It was for the 21st anniversary of Animosity. It was easily one of the best live shows I've been to. They still sound incredible after all these years.
One of the best metal bands in music history. Being a SOAD/Deftones/Slipknot fan growing up, I always heard about them but somehow I always overlooked them for some strange freaking reason! So I can definitely agree that they are underrated. But I've been listening to them a lot lately and can say they're definitely one of my favorite.
Fact: Clint Lowery is from Fayetteville, NC, grew up in Layfayette Village and attended Douglas Byrd Senior High School. I don't think the dude ever graduated. I use to drive him and his brother Corey around after shows. Clint is about 3 or 4 years younger than me.
I’ve seen these guys in concert 6 times. These guys never disappointed. Every single time I had an awesome time! To see this interview and how down to earth, laughing and joking, and just being themselves. Seems like other bands have a script when they do interviews. But not Sevendust! That’s a real brotherhood!!!
I absolutely love these guys. Morgan Rose and crew make such a great band. . I'm a day 1 fla Jacksonville fan since first sho. Id ride or die with these guys they've had so many different sounds and love it all

Sometimes I wonder about all the fun they have together. You know they're close friends. How cool it must be to be in a kick-ass band with your closest friends. Awesome
My mom (Cindie), dated Lajon back when the band was named 'Crawlspace'. The band used to perform at the bar that my mom worked at back in the day, before they were signed.
I need them to headline a tour before they shut it down. They deserve it. What an amazing group of guys. Nicest guys in the business. They deserve every bit of success that comes their way.
I was front row at a show in Louisville and Lajon was telling the crowd how much their love and support meant to him and the band. I was standing directly below Lajon as he was talking, and I could see his eyes turn red and he let a couple of tears drop. Such a real and touching moment from a humble man!! I then held my hands up toward him in a heart, and when he looked down I said "I love you, Lajon". He smiled and blew me a kiss!! 🖤
I have been a fan since the very beginning. And I’m an older man now but will forever be a fan and I hope they last forever. I wish good health and all the best to you and yours!
I've been a fan of Sevendust since 1999, the year of their sophomore album Home. Lajon's laughter is contagious & I love his energy, & his dreadlocks ❤ And props to Clint Lowery for staying sober 👍 March 2025 will mark 7 years of sobriety for me.

I was at the Melbourne show it was crazy! These guys are almost 50! I have no idea where they get so much energy.
I've always liked Sevendust, and I still think they should be on more people's playlists. I think they're probably one of the most underrated bands of my generation.
Pisses me off how underrated they are! Much love to sevendust! Especially LJ! Love you bro
Coolest dudes.. humble and chill.
And the Gnarliest fan base
F Love these guys since the 90s
Yeww!
They were one of those bands I found when I was 13 who started me down the road to metal. Don't love the music anymore looking back. But respect for what they did for me when I was 13.
Lajon's laugh makes me happy!
Such great energy ....just learned about the group. 😎
Favorite band of all time. Slightly behind Pantera
You guys should do fact or fiction with chino Moreno! Or all of the deftones really. They got the new album coming out too
Pls
Pls loudwire
+erik leaf PLEEEEEAAAAAASE
Yesssssssssss
Yeeeees!! OMG Finally!!
I can't believe that I've been a fan of Sevendust for so long and didn't realize that Chris Evans was in the band.
The more you know
🌈
He looks more like Ryan reynolds to me.
I was there at the show the night his brother passed.
Michael Grant in Jacksonville at freebird? Was that the one?
Clint's brother Corey plays for Stuck Mojo out of Atlanta right?
@@carlmiller8752 He does on the side but he's playing bass with Seether now.
@@williamrunner6718 Damn didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
I’ve seen these guys in concert 6 times. These guys never disappointed. Every single time I had an awesome time! To see this interview and how down to earth, laughing and joking, and just being themselves. Seems like other bands have a script when they do interviews. But not Sevendust! That’s a real brotherhood!!!
this is easily the best one I've seen so far! and that's coming from a guy who isn't really much of a sevendust fan
I love these guys. I'm glad Clint got it together.
Met LJ and Morgan in SF after seeing them at least 6 times! Super cool!
One of my favorite bands of all time. Got to see them live at the house of blues on new years in Florida!
Damn these are some cool guys!
Jacksonville FL dude.... saw these boys play many times in Jville... I love them so much
Absolutely love them! I met LaJon in Nashville earlier this year. One of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. 🤘🏼
I absolutely love these guys. Morgan Rose and crew make such a great band. . I'm a day 1 fla Jacksonville fan since first sho. Id ride or die with these guys they've had so many different sounds and love it all
I remember smoking weed with these guys backstage in Tempe, AZ in 1998(I think it was anyway). I was in a rising local band and our manager got us a hangout session with them after a show they put on(Chester Bennington was also at that show in Grey Daze). They still seem like the same down to Earth, humble guys they were back then. I remember being blown away by Lajon being friendly enough to put aside all the trappings of a backstage post-show of being a rock star and just chilling with us like we were friends of his. The band I was in never "made it" because we broke up over "creative differences" like many bands do. Glad to see these guys are still around and doing well.
Yeah baby! SEVENDUST!!
Sometimes I wonder about all the fun they have together. You know they're close friends. How cool it must be to be in a kick-ass band with your closest friends. Awesome
My mom (Cindie), dated Lajon back when the band was named 'Crawlspace'. The band used to perform at the bar that my mom worked at back in the day, before they were signed.
omg I love these guys. They are just this real, every time I've seen them.
I love their energy you guys are awesome!
I've seen seven dust twice live. And these guys are amazing. Love sevendust
love these guys. great interview. one of the best, yet most humble and hard working bands out there!
I need them to headline a tour before they shut it down. They deserve it. What an amazing group of guys. Nicest guys in the business. They deserve every bit of success that comes their way.
I’ve seen a lot of bands live but these guys really do put on a great show
The only band that never had drama!
Sevendust are the humblest dudes.
Just saw them last month. Fan since the beginning. Never disappoint
I've been a fan of Sevendust since 1999, the year of their sophomore album Home. Lajon's laughter is contagious & I love his energy, & his dreadlocks ❤ And props to Clint Lowery for staying sober 👍 March 2025 will mark 7 years of sobriety for me.
Can't wait to be on stage with these guys on May 5th
Great musicians with great personalities. Makes me respect them even more.
