Crucified has always been a fun one to play. Looking forward to working on Xmas Day, it's been a little while since I picked up the acoustic.

Luv this jam one of my warmups. Helps warm up the rhythm hand while also good on warming up the fingers spreading them and getting them stretched a little. Sevendust forever my favorite band!🤘🎸🤘

I'm curious do you do your own set ups on your guitars? Which is the easiest one to play in your opinion, or which one feels the best I should say? I'd guess the PRS obviously! Love those Custom 24 body's. That one video you have covering the song Thank you I literally NEVER get tired of... You fucking nail it perfect, and not only that but you can tell you're getting into it big time hahah!! But who does your set ups? I'm constantly fucking with my guitar. Replacing the nut.... Filing this, filing that. I have an ESP LTD MH100QMNT which is ok for a little bit longer.. But I find picking, and strumming to be so on an off, love hate with that guitar.. IT's one of the reasons I'm always fucking with it.. I watch you play smooth as can be.. I'm just curious. Cheers bro great vid!

I do all my own set-up work, it's the only sure-fire way to get a guitar set-up exactly how you want it and once you set it up right once you're pretty much golden aside from minor touch-ups every now and then. I like working on guitars and besides, good techs charge a lot. I couldn't say which one is the easiest to play, they all play exactly how I like them to. The PRS is probably the most comfortable guitar to play for sure, it plays like butter. My dream guitar is a legit Custom 24 but those cost like 3 grand+ so yeah, I think it'll be saying as a dream for awhile lol.

Bro look up Mark Holcomb's Signature guitar... There's his basic version, and then there's this flame job that will make a dead guy's dick raise from the dead it's so attractive... FUcking asbolutely sick!!! I feel ya on the set ups... i do my own as well i just wanted to know what im getting wrong or if its my technique.. I've only been playing for about 2 years, and most of my playing is on Rocksmith just due to sight reading.. I don't feel im doing anything wrong.. personally i know you get out what you put in... But i tense up so much its hard to mimic even your playing style when i shift from certain cords... I don't really linger on the same song very long before too long either.. lol gotta love that about RS. THe CDLC version of the game is just a fucking blast though. after you create a few good tones and save them any song can sound badass if the tone in the game sucks... it's the only way i can find interest to play at the moment.. I guess a personal lesson would do some good. But I literally have spent so many hours, days, and time on youtube, and learning from mulitple areas i dont feel it would do me much justice, except to point out a few tips and then that would be it... maybe learning the fretboard to a point i could play off ear... but i think that just comes with time.
Have you heard of the band Any Given Day?? THey're fucking sick as ******!!!

Technique is a big thing and it can sometimes be hard finding what works for you. I've been told by many players that my technique is terrible but yet it works for me. Look at players like Tosin Abasi and Marty Friedman; two of the greatest players to ever live but their technique is so awkward looking. It works for them though. It's about finding what feels natural and right and going with that. Sometimes you do need somebody to point out flaws in your technique so you can improve because when it comes to technique, there's so many bad habits you can develop and it's extremely hard to break out of bad habits. One of my bad habits was the same as yours, I'd tense up too much especially for fast bits. The only way I broke it was to focus on not doing it when I played and after about 6 months or so not tensing up became natural. Guitar is tough because you can never master it, there's always something to improve upon and learn. I've been playing nearly 15 years now and I still feel like there's so much more to learn and get better at. As long as you have the passion and dedication for it, it'll come to you.
I never personally got into Rocksmith (I played the hell out of Rock Band back in the day though), but it's definitely a great learning tool. I don't recommend relying too much on tabs, after you've been playing for a couple years, you want to start developing your ear. Being able to play what you hear and knowing where the notes are on the fretboard are extremely important and will open up many new doors and your playing and understanding of the instrument will greatly improve because of it.
