Lol bans for weed when you can literally pop and fight in a couple of months is ridiculous. Guys like Omalley openly smoke these days. The ufcs consistently is non existent

Maybe not the most finesse fighter, or the most technical, certainly not the biggest or the strongest, not even the fastest, but no one can deny that mfer is a scrapper, a gritty brawler who just don't quit. And for that I respect him
You call someone like him who's only game plan is to "Let his opponents punch his face and punish him until they get tired then he'll beat them in a submission" and call him technical????
No kidding, I truly wish that the newer age of fans could see how great nick was. Nate definitely isn't a scrub but nick was different. The pressure, the unpredictability, just everything about his style and energy I loved.
the Strikeforce record of Nicks opponents: Daley 1-3, Cyborg 1-3, KJ Noons 3-4, Smith 3-5, Shamrock 2-2. Shamrock was the only none bum but he was an old ass man at the time. Strikeforce did a good job padding Nick's record.
At first I didn’t like Nick but man anyone who has the heart of Nick Diaz you have to love him! Good luck with anything you do Nick I know you will put your all into it!👏👏👏
I sure miss these brothers fighting it’s hard to get old. It’s hard to follow this after 25-30 years. I’ve watched it from the beginning. I watched them young and get old and it’s hard for an old man to follow some of the new guys I’m trying.❤❤
I got into UFC when the TUF was on season 2. All my favourites that I grew up watching have retired. It's hard keeping up with how the sport evolved. Seems like it's mainly the lower ranked guys want that brain damage to entertain us! I've turned into a casual. The point fighting BS sucks 😪 I wanna see finishes, whether it's a knockout or a submission. Far too many decisions on the main card these days.
I'm glad to see you say that bc I felt it was only me. Now we got all these Kazak guys like someone had a farm and planted them all together and it's now plowing the field with them popping up all over the UFC. That's the only thing I've found to be able to follow and keep up with.
not many guys can say they floored a young hard charging nick diaz, props to gomi he was fully game but nicks tough heart, persistence, determination prevailed
@@hotdaern2166 not only would khabib DESTROY this guy, nick diaz isn’t champ material. just like nate isn’t. they could get the belt MAYBE but someone would just take it from them🤷♂️ that’s why u need a good record, you can’t be getting beat left n right… or ya lose the belt. jon jones, khabib, gsp (real goats)
Young Nick at 19-23 was a savage warrior who never got finished and continued fighting Joe Riggs in the hospital after the match. There is no quitting or losing in his mind.
Diaz bros are real man. I remember his brother before he ever entered the ufc ring came in for a blood draw he was down to earth and he asked if I watched pride mma ufc I told him some he responded to watch him fight I'm trying to make it I wished him luck and didn't forget when I seen him on TV bet your ass dude won the fight respect.
One of the greatest quotes ever is when a reporter asked Nate if he was bullied in school, and his response was "nah, I got a big brother". Those 2 dudes are legends.
"He was high on Mary Jane during this fight... " It's possible that he might have been high just BEFORE the fight, or while walking to the ring maybe. But soon as that bell rings and that adrenaline hits, I can guarantee he was sober as a nun.
Diaz brothers had that street fighter mentality, but it was their heart and toughness that brought them to a level to be able to beat the best and be the best
I remember that fight. Some in the MMA Press called it the most embarrassing moment of Gomi's entire career. Nick was just a different kind of fighter. You almost had to kill him to win
One of the greatest fights of all time. Diaz was a cool fighter, in many ways he kickstarted the high pressure high volume striking meta which is so prevalent today
That first fight Nick had with Robbie Lawler is my favorite fight of his. No one expected Nick to win esp by knockout and when he did the way Nick looked and acted it was like he was thinking I’m here I made it. I f**king made it. Like all the tough times and bs in his life meant something in that moment and it gives me the feels.
UFC really did dirty to him
He did that to himself. 2 prior warnings but he still decided to come in the Silva fight smoking weed

Truly. Nick was not supposed to win this fight either.
