    Back when your garage is built those metal halide or mercury vapor’s were the hot set up. Then we started replacing them about 20 years ago with T eights fluorescent. Now in the last 6or 7 years LEDs are finally coming in to their own.

    Loving the lighting in the shop. I'm in a metro area right now, but my goal is to get out in the country & outfit a pole barn like yours into a shop. I watched this after the podcast & wanted to say thanks again for the giveaway win. Kick ass content as always Rustbelt!!👍👍

    I would say that most of the shop electricity is being used by the AC. $175/month just for lights would be a lot of lights.

    Are you going to put a PacMan machine or a pinball next to the Coke machine? That would be cool.

      Right?!?! I’d actually really love to get a mortal kombat machine and a pinball one as well🤘🏻

    Just curious why you didn’t do any new fixtures on the slanted side of the studio.

    Question for you not related to the video. I am thinking of purchasing a duramax from 2012 and up. But, some of them have problems with crankshaft breaking. How to tell if engine will fail because of the crankshaft? What is the cause, maintenance, design flow or else?

    • @RustbeltMechanic
      @RustbeltMechanic  3 года назад +2

      Many of the years of Duramaxs see the broken crank, however it’s is normally due to heavy upgrades. VERY FEW trucks ever see this issue in stock or light modded form. If they do it’s from being ran through high rpms and towed WAY over it’s limits. Mine has compounds, dual fuelers and quite a bit more with a stock crank still🤷‍♂️and know quite a few LMM’s that are the same way.

      @@RustbeltMechanic, one more question. How reliable l5p in your opinion comparing to lml? Thank you

    • @RustbeltMechanic
      @RustbeltMechanic  3 года назад +2

      They are quite reliable they just cost more to upkeep and upgrade

    Recycle the old fixtures for scrap metal.

    You would think for a old car detailing shop it would have killer lighting, very weird.
