Yes, Book took his name from his mentor; I don't recall if he was "taken in" or if that meant as a little kid or as a young adult. But it's previously established that he took his name from his mentor.
Re in love: They don't show public displays of affection. What *do* they show? I would be a fanatical need to help the other out of a tough situation or to avoid being separated. It's what you expect from partners, but taken to the extreme.

I don't know what to make of this episode. Presumably there was no evil Spock on the ISS Enterprise in this incarnation as if I am not mistaken aside from the Kelpian slaves only Terrans were allowed in the Empire. We have three different Enterprises involved in Mirror episodes: in the original series, in Enterprise, and in Discovery. So it is easy to get a little confused. If the ISS Enterprise is in our universe how does it get back to its own some ten years later? Did they build a new one? Anyway it's really disappointing to give us the ISS Enterprise here and have it be deserted. I know we all wanted to see the evil crew.

Where's the drama unveiling the Breen true appearance for mass appeal, after 30 years of maintaining the mystery! Focus! Not angry just disappointed... and frankly, a little surprised.

In a universe where the least likely trait to evolve in a convergent way are ears.

It was nice to see the ISS Enterprise, but had it been the ISS Dakota, it would have changed absolutely nothing with the story, so why make it the Enterprise to begin with? I liked the L'ak and Moll stuff being here mostly because I was expecting them to wait until the final episode to give us anything on them. Good analysis!

This was a low key ripoff of Mirror Darkly when the USS DEFIANT crossed over into the Mirror Universe.

The recovery of the ISS Enterprise and the story that could be built around it is the best argument yet for continuing Discovery, but even that is not enough to give the leftist woke bullshit Star Trek Discovery series another season. I look forward to the end of this season and its mostly woke, trans, gay, or woke/gay cast. However, I hope that the refurbishment of the ISS Enterprise is worthy of at least its own mini series.

Terrible review. Wtf happens to the Enterprise? None of the other events matter, no one cares about these characters or this show.

Addiction to the Mirror Trek verse sadly started with the Deep Sh*t 9 writers. Still giggly Gene was dead and finally out of their way, they couldn't help themselves but abuse TOS lore and what better lore to exploit but the ahead of it's time episode 'Mirror, Mirror'?
It's was no surprise then, the CBS/Paramount Fugazi Trek writers would go ape dung over something as juicy as an alternate evil Trek universe. That the Deep Sh*t 9 writers at their worst demolishes anything the fugazi writers could come up with even if they used the Krell intellect multiplier device, goes without saying. lol
So, what we end up with is... Imagine this, say Tribbles were evil. EVERYONE hates them, not just Tribble genocide happy Klingons. Then along comes the Cyrano Jones of CBS/Paramount Trek, and he lets the evil Tribbles breed, because for some species, evil Tribbles are just too much fun.
Loud come the jeers and boos from the majority, "Evil is breeding Evil!". Cyrano Jones agrees and says, yes, and at 10 credits a Tribble, he will sell and breed more evil Tribbles.
Hence CBS/Paramount Trek. Everyone (who loved classic Trek) not only hates, but resents CBS/Pmt Trek. So what does CBS/Pmt do? Well, apparently every fugazi Trek series they make is created pregnant with at least one or more Trek series'. They just never stop coming!
Why can't the Klingons go to the planet of fugazi Trek and commit fugazi Trek genocide. That, would be appreciated.
