Makes no sense given its only 350 years from now and there are currently 300 million speakers and 5th worldwide, more than italian arabic russian or portugese. Thats would be 1700 in comparison. Even American First Nations langauges aren't obscure even after 80 million of them were murdered. Even more so that its a latin language with 2000 years of history along with Romanian Italian portugese, and spanish. A better line should have been "a latin related language little used these days known as french." Latin meaning one of the dead languages.

Poor Gowron. The guy wanted to play him subtle and conniving and he ended up being the most bug-eyed of all Klingons. Even when he was K'Vok he was bug-eyed.
I've revisited this a few times already. I legitimately think this might be the best Star Trek: TNG video on the entire platform. It requires a true nerd and lover of the show to be able to pull all of these different moments from the episodes. My favorites are when you just leave a joke in uncut from the show, exactly how it was. Really shows how funny the show was, unintentionally *and* intentionally. For example: Riker picking up Picard's action figure and teasing him with it. One of my favorite moments in the show, perfectly preserved in this video. Thanks again for all of your hard work!
"I shall try some of your burned replicated bird meat" I always loved that line from Worf's brother. XD I always thought it was such a shame they never did more with the character, especially in DS9. Kurn was great.

Picard and his brother covered in mud, from the time they walk out of the house to when they're back inside singing drunkenly, the whole argument is my favourite scene. Cry my eyes out everytime watching them say goodbye for the last time.
I loved this. Great work. My only critique was that Worf's "klingon's don't laugh" unfortunately wasn't immediately followed up with an uproarious clip of klingons laughing.

Worf had to get embarassed on a regular enough basis to make up for the fact he got so many episodes focused on him and he got to eventually marry Terry Ferrel. I'd say he won out in the end.

It is really interesting when things that aren't meant to be necessarily scary creep us the hell out, while things that are intended to be scary don't seem to bother us. The floating blood in Undiscovered Country, and the violent shuddering of the Crystalline Entity before it shattered did that to me.
Even though it's considered one of the weaker and sillier episodes, 10-year-old me was freaked out by "Masks" (season 7 episode where Data gets his mind hacked by digitized characters from some ancient mythology). I tried watching it just before bed TWICE and couldn't finish either time.
@@CityofButterfly I felt bad for Brent on that one. They had heavily featured him in the prior episode "Thine Own Self" and so he had almost no time to prep all the different characters for Masks. Both were Data heavy back-to-back.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 I think he's a highly underrated actor who hasn't really gotten the roles he deserves. SO many members of the TNG cast have been woefully underused for a very long time. I'm glad they're getting more time with Season 3. They're all wonderful people and I love seeing them together. Having had a bad family life growing up many of them were a sort of surrogate TV family for me. I've gotten to meet many of them over the years both at conventions and via work at Microsoft and such. I can say I'm glad I didn't listen to the old "Never Meet Your Heroes' adage. They're all warm and wonderful people.

@@CityofButterfly I felt bad for Brent on that one. They had heavily featured him in the prior episode "Thine Own Self" and so he had almost no time to prep all the different characters for Masks. Both were Data heavy back-to-back.
@@shanenokes1170 I think he knocked it out of the park. That's probably in my top 10 episodes, certainly top 15. I really enjoyed that episode.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 I think he's a highly underrated actor who hasn't really gotten the roles he deserves. SO many members of the TNG cast have been woefully underused for a very long time. I'm glad they're getting more time with Season 3. They're all wonderful people and I love seeing them together. Having had a bad family life growing up many of them were a sort of surrogate TV family for me. I've gotten to meet many of them over the years both at conventions and via work at Microsoft and such. I can say I'm glad I didn't listen to the old "Never Meet Your Heroes' adage. They're all warm and wonderful people.

Well done. Man that first season where they were just trying to figure things out was pretty rocky but still fun. I remember when it first came out everybody was excited to see a new series after all those years. The show started to hit it’s stride after season 1 and kept improving. 🖖
