- right what it says on the tin: three (ish) seconds of every star trek: the next generation episode... all 178 of them. some clips were a little longer or shorter for the sake of lines fitting nicely into clips, but it's close enough.
this took me something like three months to chip through, but i'm so pleased with the result. it's extremely funny.
this was heavily inspired by the "one second of every star trek: the original series episode" video by Zoe Ann Jordan on youtube/jeffreycombs on tumblr. heres the youtube link, since i think the url is less likely to change than the tumblr mirror: • One Second of Every St...
EDIT: in response to some comments...
All of these clips are in order by episode number. If there’s only one clip from a two-parter (like the pilot) it’s because it’s listed as a single episode on the only streaming service that currently hosts TNG, Paramount Plus.
If you're trying to figure out what episode a clip belongs to, I suggest Googling the dialogue in quotation marks (you can find transcriptions of every episode on chakoteya.net) or using these time stamps to at least narrow down the season.

Worf getting absolutely demolished at every opportunity makes this a perfect compilation.

worf was mostly used to demonstrate the power of the current monster of the week

Makes no sense given its only 350 years from now and there are currently 300 million speakers and 5th worldwide, more than italian arabic russian or portugese. Thats would be 1700 in comparison. Even American First Nations langauges aren't obscure even after 80 million of them were murdered. Even more so that its a latin language with 2000 years of history along with Romanian Italian portugese, and spanish.
A better line should have been "a latin related language little used these days known as french." Latin meaning one of the dead languages.

Picard WOULD drop a "yo momma" joke out of nowhere. Especially on Troi.
that clip where Data tosses Geordi away from the console and then does the little panic gesture with his hands made me laugh so hard

I'm not a fan (I haven't even seen any Star Trek show ever, let alone TNG), but I got this video recommended by youtube, and it still made me laugh several times throughout the video 😂 (and I learned that Whoopi Goldberg was in the show, which I had never known!)

Poor Gowron. The guy wanted to play him subtle and conniving and he ended up being the most bug-eyed of all Klingons.

I've revisited this a few times already. I legitimately think this might be the best Star Trek: TNG video on the entire platform. It requires a true nerd and lover of the show to be able to pull all of these different moments from the episodes. My favorites are when you just leave a joke in uncut from the show, exactly how it was. Really shows how funny the show was, unintentionally *and* intentionally. For example: Riker picking up Picard's action figure and teasing him with it. One of my favorite moments in the show, perfectly preserved in this video. Thanks again for all of your hard work!

As much as this one is great, it is no match for the classic "Star Trek: The Sexed Generation"
It is the perfect out of context montage to show folks who are unfortunate enough to have never known Star Trek TNG.
I'm on season 3 now, watching this as a teaser for the following seasons 😄

Haha, maybe in a few months! I’m currently watching through DS9 for the first time and this video took me something like three months to put together due to its tedious nature. If a DS9 video does happen, I’ll come back and reply to this comment to let you know. ❤️

It's incredible when you have watched the whole series so can remember the occasional clips entire episode :)

Picard and his brother covered in mud, from the time they walk out of the house to when they're back inside singing drunkenly, the whole argument is my favourite scene. Cry my eyes out everytime watching them say goodbye for the last time.

I think it turns out that Riker had been kidnapped by some people, and almost everything you seen the episode is in his mind as he struggles to fight the efforts by the enemy to hack into his mind.

Worf had to get embarassed on a regular enough basis to make up for the fact he got so many episodes focused on him and he got to eventually marry Terry Ferrel. I'd say he won out in the end.

This is an amazing piece of work! Most of the clips are so iconic they made the episode instantly recognizable. Others are literally the only thing I remember about their episode. Sad to miss my personal favorites “Play the game, Wesley”, “With mint frosting!” and “Did the table do something wrong?” but your choices were exquisite. What a thing of wonder you have wrought! 🖖

It is really interesting when things that aren't meant to be necessarily scary creep us the hell out, while things that are intended to be scary don't seem to bother us.
The floating blood in Undiscovered Country, and the violent shuddering of the Crystalline Entity before it shattered did that to me.
Even though it's considered one of the weaker and sillier episodes, 10-year-old me was freaked out by "Masks" (season 7 episode where Data gets his mind hacked by digitized characters from some ancient mythology). I tried watching it just before bed TWICE and couldn't finish either time.
@@CityofButterfly I felt bad for Brent on that one. They had heavily featured him in the prior episode "Thine Own Self" and so he had almost no time to prep all the different characters for Masks. Both were Data heavy back-to-back.
@@shanenokes1170 I think he knocked it out of the park. That's probably in my top 10 episodes, certainly top 15. I really enjoyed that episode.
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 I think he's a highly underrated actor who hasn't really gotten the roles he deserves. SO many members of the TNG cast have been woefully underused for a very long time. I'm glad they're getting more time with Season 3. They're all wonderful people and I love seeing them together. Having had a bad family life growing up many of them were a sort of surrogate TV family for me. I've gotten to meet many of them over the years both at conventions and via work at Microsoft and such. I can say I'm glad I didn't listen to the old "Never Meet Your Heroes' adage. They're all warm and wonderful people.
