Gus "I do not believe fear to be an effective motivator" Fring.
Sooo Nacho will betray him somewhere in the future?
@@Krasses It would be interesting if he does as it might explain why Gus is reluctant to threaten Walter (at first) in Breaking Bad.
Anthony W he already has to Lalo.
Well, he said that in Breaking Bad and we have yet to see the end of Nacho's story in Better Call Saul. So...
Nobody seems to understand why Gus said that. He wanted Walter to come working for him from his own free will. Yes, the fear of Cartel would've forced him to work for Gus eitherway, but since Gus planned to wipe out Cartel in the near future, Walt would've stopped right when the news came out that he was no longer in danger. And that would've been bad for the business.
But it doesn't mean that Gus had anything against using fear to motivate his enemies and allies. He's just smart enough to know when to use it, and when to handle things in a different way.
To add salt to the wound, Fring farted into the plastic bag right before the confrontation
Lmfao
😂
This should have more likes
Nah, he had Amouranth do that which isn't necessarily a bad thing, depending on how you look at it.
Lol probably smelled like his pollos hermaños kids meal
Nacho didn't even ask about healthcare or salary or nothing before taking the position. Wrong move.
Imagine a scene of Nacho calling Gus that night asking him if he can match his 401k contribution...
The next day he should have put in an application at Los Pollos.
I hear Gus gives great dental
@Cornel Rusu yep
LMAO
First time I watched this, I didn't notice it was Gus Fring himself who jumped Nacho's partner and put the bag over his head, then slammed him into the car and manhandled him to the ground. You don't often see Gus get physical, but when you do, it's always lethal.
A strong guy!
And you never see him holding a gun!!
Same here, just realized this from this vid! Crazy.
I watched this like 6 times and noticed it until I read your comment, damn
Didn’t realize until I read your comment! Just rewatched it!
I love that Nacho doesn't even hand over the bag to him 2:32 because he's so pissed that the other guy put him in that position.
Lol i didnt even notice that
Good call, didn't realize either
Also it was a shift In power, they walked in the other guy acting tough and telling nacho to back him up but then nacho has to take control
can't be like this when you're doing dirt... stick to the money. they killing each other over bravado.. it was all about the money for us.
How did he put him in that position? He talked about it with Nacho before entering, and Nacho agreed to backing him up. He could have said no and talked him out of it.
best job interview ever
Not better than ernie's from scarface

Scary touch that Gus starts speaking while the other guy is still alive to hear it. Then everybody knows there's no chance from that point that he will live to tell the tale. He's not dead yet, but by just beginning the conversation, Gus makes it clear that he's gonna be dead in a few moments.
the dude probably couldn’t hear him anyway cause of the bag on his head and the fact that he was dying horribly
I think its way colder that they turn him around so Nacho can watch him in the face while hes dying.
While Gus is telling him a lesson AND the fact that he demands that he needs to look away from him and look Gus in the face while he is dying next to him.
Also, this stops nacho from wanting to save artur. If he did save him then thatd be a salamanca henchman who knew about nacho's pill caper
@@EvMund The thing that was stopping Nacho from wanting to save him was half a dozen guns pointing at his head.
Unlike Gus & Max, I don’t think Ignacio cared much about Arturo lol!
Makes you think how hard it was for walter to neutralize gus and how badass he was
jeeesus Heisenberg*
That's one of the things that's so great about Better Call Saul. It makes characters like Gus, Mike, and Hector so complex, so detailed and so badass that it really amplifies just how tenacious Walt/Heisenberg is to take them all down.
The only time Gus did something because of his emotions was what got him killed. After all the revenge actions he could have just sent Tyrus to finish Hector and the bomb trap would have not happened.
Walter found Gus's one weakness - his emotional need to hurt Hector.
@@Siyko His emotional need was one aspect but Hector stays at a place where there were no cameras
The main reason why Hector was used was because of that
Man I'm glad the actor who played Vaas is still acting. That dude can act as good as the rest of them.
TBH I would never guessed it was him if I didn't know.

Creepy game
I love that this scene could be watched as its own micro-short film, by someone without any real prior knowledge of the show and characters
Only if you don’t plan to watch the show
Really strong scene as it is
Extremely strong when you already know Gus and nacho
A lot of scenes in this show work like that. My favourite example is when nacho’s dad comes to confront him about someone wanting to buy his shop
I like how Gus gets his hands dirty instead of having others do his dirty work. He's almost as badass as Tom Neville from Revolution.
Yeah, I think that he does that because he wants to scare his opponents left alive (in this case Nacho, in Breaking Bad he did it with Walt and Jesse, Walt even shitted himself when Gus killed Victor with the box cutter), showing that he can do that to them or their families as well because he's a sociopath and they cannot afford to underestimate him and his men
Hamza Khaliq so he doesnt make mistakes
he wouldn't ask his employees to do something he wouldn't do himself. from fried chicken to meth distribution, the man is a good manager.
No half measures for gus
It's simple if you want something done right , do it by yourself
Gus is fcking terrifying.
And AMAZING. 1 of the best characters I've ever seen.
Gus is terrifying , because he represents what each and everyone of us are Actually capable of. Do you have the stomach to be Gus?
EnJoy ur meal :)
Psychopatic, ruthless CEOs who do some dirty work themselves are pretty great antagonists.
Yeah no i'm not really.
Nacho was a great character. Obviously a criminal, but what of the only guys that under the cartel that wasn’t an unpredictable psychopath. He was logical, and he wasn’t the type of guy to want to hurt innocent people, and he put the needs of his father above his own.
Well put, although many but not all criminals are total pieces of s***.

3:38 is worst, where he looks around realizing that no one will help and everyone is just enjoying watching him struggle to death slowly.
it's not enjoyment. It's pragmatism. Nobody is clanking beer bottles together or cheering or even smiling.
Nacho definitely wasn’t enjoying it. As for the others…. who knows?
None of them were enjoying it
@@gztxrd who knows Gus probably was
It's still the sense of helplessness no one feels bad for it
Clean, quiet and efficient. Gus Fring all the way.
Box cutter scene would say otherwise
He used what he had available and the environment was perfect to mop up and drain Victors blood
Landon Smith thas true
And arguably unnecessary
Heisenberg: Loud, dirty, still efficient.
For a death scene with no blood or gore, this was pretty damn violent and terrifying.
It was terrifying
Michael Mando is an extremely underrated actor.
Ikr I'm excited for him to play Scorpion in the new spiderman movie...He deserves bigger roles in Hollywood. Amazing talent.
He's well known for far cry 3
Everything that has ever happened is underrated
And he has big nostrils
@@ididntmeantoshootthatvietn5012 and Esposito is fixin to be Far Cry 6's antagonist +
Man, this is the moment when Nacho's inevitable path to his death begins. There was nothing he could have done about it.
Yea they should have had a Salamanca (i.e. twins) follow them to these type of meetings. Gus wouldn't do this if any Salamancas were present.
Could have denied everything and blamed fring when the twins arrived. He might get killed too if he cant hold his lies together but it gives him a chance
Plot armor ya know? Gus was meant to succeed until the end of season 4 so nacho couldn't ruin his plans
Nacho's fate was sealed when he was way younger and got involved with the cartel in the first place.
He should have told the twins right after/after being wounded or lalo at the end. Gus doesnt seem to have solid proof of what Nacho did. Siding with the Salamancas was the better option, when to tell them is another story.
I like how Nacho in S6 decides not to die slow & painful like how this guy did...
I really feel bad for Arturo, every time he tries to assert his dominance, it will be someone who is bigger than him or the situation that he does it in a wrong time, even when he appears in the first time, we saw him try to talk an threatening Mike which fail miserably. Second one that he block the exit of Los Pollos Hermanos, he tries to act big by blocking the women and children until Nacho sending the “wtf are you doing” signal. Then the hospital one that he talk with Hector about the situation of the gang, the twins and Nacho are taking our attention from him. Until this last scene, he gets big off by taking six package that succeed, but in exchange of his life by Gus. Give Arturo a break man!!!
Well if you put it that way
The Benny Fazio of BCS
To make it even worse for him, his body is put in a car, taken to a remote part of the desert road, peppered with bullets by Victor and Tyrus, some of which also hit his body, then when the twins find them, they set the car and his corpse on fire.
arturo more like Lturo
I feel pool flashbacks.
"Now look at him. You did this to him"
That moment I saw the shadow I knew shit was about to go down real fast.
yeah, we all did dude.
Welp, it's official, we've got 2 Farcry Villains in the same scene of Better Call Saul
Lmao true
Gus to vaas in this scene: Stay out of my territory
1:35 nacho gonna tell them the definition of insanity
Not as much as Gus made him feel the definition of fear at 3:45
I like how they put him in a spot where he could have eventually taken the bag off his friend's head but didn't feel like he could because Gus exposed that he had dirt on him right in front of him.
i hardly think Nacho considered this guy a friend. The way he looks at him in the warehouse and doesnt even hand him over the bag
Yeah would have been a great idea while 10 armed men are around you that can and will kill you right after you make a move
@@flasimp420 Pretty sure that was due to the position Arturo had put him in.
Tyrus and Victor had guns pointed right at him
You can feel how traumatized Nacho is in this scene. Great acting by Michael Mando.
One of the coolest things about this scene is the way Victor throws the 6th key onto the table, and it just stops at the edge
He must have been a champion Chinese football player
Imagine being tied down and no way of breathing. The worst!!!!
Jonathan Castillo maybe try biting a hole? Idk if that works but yeahh

This just goes to show you why Gus Fring is quite possibly the greatest TV villain of all time. He never loses his composure, he’s extremely intelligent, and he’s always one step ahead of you. Plus, there’s nothing he won’t do to defeat you. “Long Live Gus.”
The moment when Chuck lost his shit on court used to be my favorite moment in BCS now it's second place lmao.
True. Also a great scene in the desert (s1e2) with Saul, Tuco, Nacho and two brothers. And in the house of "abuellita" before.
Crazy how Chuck and this scene looks like it came out of a different show
Probably Lalos "tell me again " scene is #1 now 🤔

I feel bad for Nacho's Dad
The actor who plays victor also plays Eagle Flies in red dead 2
and Vass in far cry 3
ded that’s not Victor, that’s Nacho.
Muhammad Lee Walt kinda reminds me of the dad that played the dad in Malcolm in the middle! The way he speaks and acts!
Jessica Garcia It reminds him of me too !!
Jessica Garcia - Yes Ikr! Walt kinda looks, speaks and acts like Hal Wilkerson from Malcom in the Middle, and I can't put my finger on why but I'm not complaining about it. I guess he's just got that vibe.
Gus looks like a horror movie character standing in shadows. Nightmare on Fring's Street
How about nightmare at pollos hermanos
1:49 *Your teacher when you're on your phone during class*
4:05 The teacher when you don't pay attention
The teacher when you start masturbating in class
2:35 I love how Nacho makes the 'tough guy' ('yeah, that's what I thought') reach for the bag, make him realise who really got the authority.
Hard to believe someone so composed and articulate can do such bagging and tagging.
3:50 is probably the most terrifying sound for some reason
That "Look at me" at 4:05 is a Breaking Bad reference :)
I recently spotted another BB reference in BCS. The main character, Jimmy McGill, is actually Saul Goodman - Walt and Jesse's lawyer.
@@Aidan-qc7mq did you know the this series title came as a billboard ob breaking bad
With this and the box cutter it's so funny to me how Gus likes to make his points by murdering people with his own hands in the most gruesome ways lol
Sucks that this was, essentially, a death sentence for Nacho now.
I always laugh at how nacho let him stretch to grab the bag, like he could’ve at least lifted his arm a bit😂
I love watching scenes like this from Better Call Saul with such dangerous characters like Gus, Hector, Mike and Tyrus etc knowing that they all meet their end because of one man...Walter White.
Walt didn't cause Hector's death, Hector caused Hector's death
To prepare for his role Giancarlo actually smothered several interns with walmart shopping bags prior to filming
Nacho’s partner really thought He did something here 💀💀
This is the scene where Nacho died, he just didn't knew it yet.
4:25 The background music during Arturo’s final breaths make this scene straight out of a horror movie
This reminds me so much of Box Cutter.
What makes it really terrifying is that he was tied up so he just couldn't do anything about it and just sit there and suffocate. Gus is terrifying and that's what makes him a great character
Eladio to Gus (after Hector killed his partner in front of him): "...the only reason why he(the partner) is dead & you're not is because I know who you are.....you are not in Chile anymore".
Gus is the king of new york
I like how Gus is a Drug lord who isnt afraid to get his hands dirty
Gus sounded so badass when he said “look at me, from now on you are mine”
So this is how Vaas became a sub-boss under Anton Castillo in the new Far Cry
Imagine Dani and Jason fighting together
Brilliant cinematography by Vince! The actor actually suffocated and died while filming this to act the gritty and realism. Bravo Vince!
Victor says "Put it away" like he's scared of getting in trouble, not dying. He seems more scared of Gus reaction when he'll learn about what happenned than he is scared of the gun.
Gus prob planned this, give them a reason to kill Arturo to the Salamancas, and get to converse with Nacho and get a man on the inside. Him demanding six was a reason to off him, and Gus knows Salamancas are vulnerable cause Hector is in a coma... well, til Lalo comes along.
Bro Nacho could’ve said “bro watch out!!” Or something he kinda just let them bag his buddy
3:07 when I saw that shadow I about pissed myself
Just now I realized Gus alone put the bag on the henchman. I love when the boss has hands-on approuch. On other fashion, Gus speech reminded me of the final of Warcraft Frozen Throne.
The main difference between Heisenberg snd Gus is that Fring does not hesitate to get dirty, he has the cold blood to act when is needed and boy does he really knows his stuff.
Heisenberg on the other hand is an absolute genius but it lacks the cold blood to take care of things himself, and when he does he struggles to execute someone, in the end Gus cold blood is what got him killed. He never let his guard down and that's why he died. He never believed someone would do something against him in the way it happened he always expected a head to head confrontation, in the end Walter also developed the cold blood to execute his enemies, Todd's Uncle, Lydia, Jack's gang. but doing so also lead him to his death.
Gus was more ruthless overall. Walt killed because it was necessary. He didn’t execute people in such gruesome ways, he didn’t torture animals, and he didn’t murder children. Gus did all these things.
@@TTUploads Wait when does Gus torture an animal?
@@Aidan-qc7mq The coati. When he was a child
@@Aidan-qc7mqthe story he tells hector when hes laying in the hospital bed
But Heisenberg ordered the killing of 10 prison inmates
Seeing him since the beginning of BCS, or atleast the intro of Hector
It came to me as a surprise when he died, i didn't see it coming and that's what makes this show so good, really gives you a feel of the cartel life. How actions have consequences and even if they don't kill you, they make you feel like you're already in Hell
The slow zoom-in to Nacho's face as he is looking at the rock and hard place he has found himself between...
"I don't believe fear to be an effective motivator"
Also Gus...
One thing that bugs me in this scene is how improbable it would have been to approach without alerting those two with your footsteps 50ft away. I am sure you would be hyper-alert in a situation like that with your ears pricked and your head on a swivel.
Yeah realistically you cant avoid a shootout here but out of all the impossible things that regurally happen this one isn't so bad.
With practice and the right footwear, silent approach is possible on some surfaces
This feels like a flashback to when hector killed Gus’s partner in Mexico and made him watch but now Gus is the one doing it
I can only imagine how terrifying this was for Nacho. Up to this point every time he saw Gus, Gus was mild mannered and gave no indication he was violent. Here he sees the monster that Gus is and what he's capable of doing.
Box cutter, plastic bag, cable ties. Gus has a habit of turning innocuous objects into deadly weapons.
"You. Are. Mine." The delivery there. Absolute peak. Chef's kiss. Oh man.
03:32 jesus!!! Look what is Victor doing; he's dragging the guy's leg so Nacho watch his death in full
How can people not like this show?????
Nacho is in the same position as Gus was when it happened to Max.
'i don't believe fear to be an effective motivator'
Idk if it's a trope but I like scenes where the boss has to get their hands dirty
2:34 Guy almost can't reach it and just improvised lol
Yeah, that's just an addition to his incompetence.
That’s why Gus killed him
That “Look at me” was terrifying
Love how the music in this scene at the end is in tune to Arturo’s heartbeat, with it cutting off as soon as he dies 👏👏
i am upset
me too buddy, me too
So sad going back now knowing that nacho doesn't make it out. RIP LEGEND
I thought he would manage to escape like Jesse…
Gus is so cool he looks like Hannibal played by Mads Mikkelsen
You've gotta appreciate a man who does his own dirty work.
As cartel killings go, it wasn't the worst way to die...
I would think you'll have your guns out/watching your backs after just leaving a difficult "negotiation."
Exactly...with 6 keys... but its TV..
I guess they were relying on their associations with the Salamanca family. Kinda like ambassadors back in the past.
I love how they turn Arturo around once he is secured, so that Nacho can have a better view of his friend suffocating
I love this too
His friend suffocated in a plastic bag? Or no?
"You gonna back me up or what?"
Nacho:..... yeah......🙈
2:33 I just noticed the subtle detail of nacho's hesitation by just taking out the bag but not moving his arm to give it to his partner, showing that although he is a port of this, he doesnt want to be in it.
This show builds up tension and keeps you reeled in. Maybe it's because it's been a while since i saw BB, but i feel like BCS does a better job of keeping you hooked.
Have you ever heard the Tragedy of Ignacio “Nacho” Vargas?
The interaction between these four were always good. Wish we got more.
“We had them pissing their pants.”
Well yes but actually no
Moments prior, Victor showed restraint in pulling his gun out. I knew instantly that Colon is going to die right there. I knew Gustavo was aware that he needs Nacho to fulfil his revenge.
Nacho thought he could trust Mike, but telling Mike about the pills plan is what got him killed ☹️
To think Giancarlo nailed this scene in just ONE take
this is gus's heisenberg moment
No, heisenbergs moment was a turning point. This was not a turning point for Gus Fring
"YOU ARE MINE...now thank me and shake my hand"
