Halo (also known as Halo: The Series) is an American military science fiction television series developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane for the streaming service Paramount+, based on the video game franchise of the same name. Produced by Showtime Networks, 343 Industries, Amblin Television, One Big Picture, and Chapter Eleven, the series follows a 26th-century war between the United Nations Space Command and the Covenant, a theocratic-military alliance of several advanced alien races determined to eradicate the human race.
Pablo Schreiber and Jen Taylor star as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 and Cortana, with the latter reprising her role from the video game series, and are joined by Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Bokeem Woodbine, and Natascha McElhone. Development for a television series began in 2013. Killen was hired in June 2018, and the series officially announced a nine-episode order for Paramount+. Filming began in Ontario, Canada in October 2019, although post-production for the first five episodes was affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming eventually resumed in Budapest, Hungary, in February 2021.
The first season of Halo premiered on March 24, 2022, on Paramount+. It was met with mixed reviews, with praise given for its action scenes, cast, and visual effects but criticism for its derivative writing and alterations from the source material. A second season is scheduled to premiere on February 8, 2024.

i still don´t understand why the are against the chief? i played the games, i know the "official" lore and i watched all episodes of this show. why are some of the unsc higher ups against him? isn´t this about winning against the covenant?
They're all over the place. They cherry picked some story elements around Guardians where Chief went AWOL and stopped taking orders. I know it is alternate universe nonsense, but at this point in time in the games and books he was still very much a by the book and follow orders kind of soldier.
On the novels Ackerson try to eliminate the Spartans 2, and make Halsey looks bad, he didn't make it, so he focus on the development of the Spartans 3 "the replacement". So the ONI is not really an all friendly group.
In the novels (lore) Ackerson try to eliminate the Spartans 2 and basically hate halsey.
but that still leads to the simple question "why?" again: it´s humanity fighting for survival. why is there a group inside humanity which fights against humanity? aren´t those bad odds? why not everyone work together?@@alfonsoj.vallejom.9991
In the books ackerson tried to kill the master chief.
I got a feeling that Keyes is still Alive and abducted by the covenant and that's where The Spartan 3's Try to Invade the corvette to save Keyes.

We need the episode
To be honest, I think if the flood doesn’t make any sort of appearance, whether it’s this season or next season yeah I’m done with this show forever. like the only reason I still watch it and maybe it’s because I’m hoping something good would come out of it but yeah, I’m just disappointed so disappointed that I literally spent my whole time playing legendary of all the halo games. I already completed halo reached I’m on combat evolved and yeah I got a few levels to complete and then a couple more halo games and yeah that’s it. The best part about the video games is that at least they follow the books. unlike the people that made the show I’m sorry for talking too long but I’m really disappoint with how paramount allowed this to even exist. I think of the show really wanted to get good and this is my opinion they should’ve included the people involved in well common sense Halo Forward unto Dawn.

doesnt make sense where do they just get 2000 spartans, they might have spartan suits but they arent spartans, they lack any training or skills a spartan has is what i predict

I think there were at least 1000 s3 made cause if i remember right at least 600 died on suicide missions 300 per mission and one company was held back

I found the first season extremely good. The plot was perfect, it kept you in suspense, I think it had everything. I was looking forward to see the second season.. and I was very disappointed.. nothing to do with the first season in my opinion.. so far every episode except some moments is very boring, its like first and second season is from different series

News flash: No soldier lives in his armor full-time unless its Robocop. That's because his armor is part of his body. It's very easy to keep a character in armor inside video games. But this is no video game. Stop complaining. I was there for all of the Halo games. I loved them. You should be thankful it got a major tv adaptation. If you want to see soldiers stay in their armor, go rewatch Red vs Blue. If you don't like this Halo series, the simple solution is ----> don't watch it

They sure did if the flood doesn’t make any sort of appearance this season or whatever there’s gonna be a season three then yeah I’m officially done. then again, the good thing about this show is it got me to literally focus on trying to beat legendary. I completed legendary on reach now I just need to complete legendary on combat evolved. Along with the rest of the halo games I have. Apparently the best part about video games, especially considering that these video games connect with the books that the writers failed to follow they’ve been the only reason I have not lost my mind. But yeah, I’m disappointed in the show. It’s like the ET video game how it was back in 1982. Only differences Paramount OK with just allowing this to continue. I apologize for making this long but that’s what I really have to say

Grew up with Halo. When I was a kid there was nothing more I wanted than to see Halo brought to the big screen.. This is not it. People need to remember it's a TV show 😶... I can appreciate Halo getting a TV show but the writing sucks and the Juicy bits are very few and far between.
What Halo needs is a max budget box office similar to James Cameron's Avatar. IMAGINE how good it could be

Episode 4 was ok minus the fact that the main character of master chief isnt in it at all......... just a few spartans with no armor which completely killed any good the episode was actually doing. This show is trash if your a halo fan and we deserve alot better

Man this show is missing the mark by not having the Master Chief. Out the suit for a bit is probably ok, but damn two solid episodes and no Master Chief is just dumb in my opinion

The series a 8/10. Grown men out here complaining and crying about the series because it not perfect like they want but still watch it. They say they’re trying to help the writers but don’t realize they’re hurting the viewership which is ultimately hurting the series. They just want attention. I love it though.

Its such a disappointing series bears no relation hardly to the game which was also ruined by Microsoft/ 343 who deleted LAN connections and splitscreen
Its a disgrace what Microsoft 343 did to the halo game, taking out LAN literally deleting the code from halo infinite forcing people to pay monthly buy two tvs two consoles two copies of the game etc and buy Xbox live if they wanted to play with their children … then to try to blame this on graphics …. Then they promised splitscreen after deleting it from halo 5 then promised it for halo infinite as coming later …. Then announced they’d scrapped it after many fans had bought the game thinking splitscreen was coming

This show is Halo in name only. I get that this isn't the games but they're just really making up shit as they go.
They aren't. They're retconning the minor details and taking over arching premises from the books and games. Ackerson tried to replace the spartan 2s. Reach did get glassed. Spartan 2s were kidnapped kids. The forerunners did plan for master cheif to be a chosen one. These things are there. They're just happening all at once in a much faster pace than the games and books.
